Atlanta Fish Market Ratings and Reviews
Well I looked forward to celebrating my 10 year anniversary here. Spent fathers day, mothers day here and wanted to come back. Very very disappointed! I booked my reservation online and even got there 1 hour early. I didn't get seated until my reservation time. The server sucked. He didn't have any passion at all. Didn't discuss the menu or featured item or even recommend wine or anything. We are on low carb and told him we wanted no bread and he didn't relay the message. I put in my remarks to be seated in a booth for my occasion and they put me in the "sports bar" area. Very loud and obnoxious customers that talked as if they were at a game. The food was good but the overall experience is a miss for me because of all the other things that happened. I wont be back. I'm so disgusted and disappointed in this experience cause I really looked forward to celebrating this special time with my husband and he was so upset about everything. We paid for fine dining but got Carrabbas style service.
From the time we pulled into the parking lot till we left, there were only two people that seemed to enjoy their jobs and were nice. The head valet parking attendant and the gentleman that set our table and gave us water.
The entrance to the restaurant was over crowded not allowing anyone to check in with the receptionist. This was the true reflection of how the evening would progress as she had the most sour facial and body language. We went to the bar to order a glass of wine and it was again over crowded . After waiting to finally order my drink ( 25 minutes) we were notified our table was ready. Or not. Receptionist again was not ready and finally we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation.
The server serving us, Lily, again had the attitude of everyone we had encountered. After taking my husband's drink order , returning with it, Lily ask what we would like. I had to ask if there were any specials? We ordered and I ordered a second glass of wine thinking ahead. After a reasonable length of time, our dinner was served. It was ok, NOT GREAT! The manager came over , noticing I did not have any wine, since I never received my second glass. And this was after I had finished my entrée. When our plates were cleared , we ordered coffee. Lily brought our coffee and bill simultaneously. This was our last interaction with our server. We left our Buckhead card and tip and left.
Overall experience was Get them in and Get Them out! An attitude of Needless to say, this was not my first time eating, not dining , at the Atlanta Fish Market, but I assure you, it will be MY LAST!!!!!
Very good meal and great service. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table, even though we had a reservation and arrived on time. Granted, we visited at peak time on a Saturday evening, but would have expected to have been seated a little sooner. The valet parking had quite a backup and wait, both arriving and departing. Valet should be complimentary (with gratuities expected of course), given the nature of the restaurant -- it was actually $2 min. + gratuity. Overall, would recommend based on the quality of the meal and attentiveness of the server.
The service was excellent as expected. The steelhead salmon trout was exceptional and would highly recommend. The sword fish was over cooked. Be sure to ask for it to be cooked on the rare side so that it will come out medium. The valet parking was backed up. There was a problem with the organization of the team.
We always enjoy dining at The Fish Market! The food is always delicious and the service excellent! We go there several times a year and just find the whole experience delightful! Personally, of all the Buckhead Life Restaurants, this one is our "fav!" Going here is like dinner out at "our club!"
Had a 7 PM reservation for a special dinner with a good friend on Sunday before the MLK Holiday. Way too many people had their under-4 year old children dining with them and the shrieking (which was encouraged by some of the adults with the children) and other child-noise were a distraction and an annoyance, given the price point of this restaurant. Wish we would have been asked by the hostess if we wanted to sit adjacent to two families with young children. Also, I will think twice before booking a table for dinner here.
Dependably delicious. The skate wing is exceeded in buttery beauty by only one dish: fried lobster tail. But simpler prep of their fresh fish is also splendid, salads are substantial, and mashed potatoes as good as any spud on the planet. Sushi ain't bad either.
This was our second visit in 6 -7 months. We are from Washington, DC metro and decided we needed a healthy, delicious seafood meal. You did not disappoint! Everything was perfect from the hot bread to the drinks to entrees. The service was attentive without being intrusive. We appreciated that!
Excellent!! Our server was Bailey - he provided wonderful, friendly service and has great knowledge about dishes and ingredients. Our food was fabulous - our group was delighted by ththe freshness of ingredients and the inspired recipes. We had Sunday lunch there, and the beautiful decor paired with the quiet but vibrant atmosphere for fun and conversation was perfect! Highly recommend!
Brought my sister to celebrate her 70th birthday. It is a beautiful restaurant with a good local vibe. We really enjoyed our lunch. I do want to mention that I was a bit disappointed with the inexperience of the wait staff. Otherwise the food was delicious and we enjoyed our meal.
I usually enjoy this restaurant, but not so much this visit:
* We were seated on the 'porch' and it was freezing in there
* We ordered mussels, which were delicious, but by the time they brought the bread they were almost gone and cold
* I love the Hong Kong style fish, but this time the spinach had so much oil on it it made the whole dish seem oily. I like that it is typically a 'lighter' meal
Just not as special this visit - and it's expensive!
The man behind our table dominated the space with his very loud voice. The food was very expensive and not enough food for the price. I had the lobster scampi and got one small bite of lobster. My husband had sea bass that was so covered in butter he couldn’t finish it.
The Atlanta Fish Market has been on my favorites list for a very long time. They always have fresh seafood and it is served as described in the menu. Never had a bad meal here. The wait staff is fantastic and always attentive to your every request. I will definitely return. One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants !
