Atlanta Fish Market Ratings and Reviews
Had a 7 PM reservation for a special dinner with a good friend on Sunday before the MLK Holiday. Way too many people had their under-4 year old children dining with them and the shrieking (which was encouraged by some of the adults with the children) and other child-noise were a distraction and an annoyance, given the price point of this restaurant. Wish we would have been asked by the hostess if we wanted to sit adjacent to two families with young children. Also, I will think twice before booking a table for dinner here.
Dependably delicious. The skate wing is exceeded in buttery beauty by only one dish: fried lobster tail. But simpler prep of their fresh fish is also splendid, salads are substantial, and mashed potatoes as good as any spud on the planet. Sushi ain't bad either.
This was our second visit in 6 -7 months. We are from Washington, DC metro and decided we needed a healthy, delicious seafood meal. You did not disappoint! Everything was perfect from the hot bread to the drinks to entrees. The service was attentive without being intrusive. We appreciated that!
I usually enjoy this restaurant, but not so much this visit:
* We were seated on the 'porch' and it was freezing in there
* We ordered mussels, which were delicious, but by the time they brought the bread they were almost gone and cold
* I love the Hong Kong style fish, but this time the spinach had so much oil on it it made the whole dish seem oily. I like that it is typically a 'lighter' meal
Just not as special this visit - and it's expensive!
The man behind our table dominated the space with his very loud voice. The food was very expensive and not enough food for the price. I had the lobster scampi and got one small bite of lobster. My husband had sea bass that was so covered in butter he couldn’t finish it.
The Atlanta Fish Market has been on my favorites list for a very long time. They always have fresh seafood and it is served as described in the menu. Never had a bad meal here. The wait staff is fantastic and always attentive to your every request. I will definitely return. One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants !
Having lived in the ATL for over 30 yrs., we had never been to Atlanta Fish Market. Being fans of Buckhead Life Group, it was time to give it a try for a very big wedding anniversary. While we loved our server and the food, I wish I'd asked to be seated in a better spot. We sat down in the main dining room in a booth (had requested), but the real ambiance is on the next level, overlooking the street. We should have had a much better table, but I will ask next time. Everyone was lovely, and the service is almost too good, if that's possible. There is a huge staff who keep a tight eye on the pace of your meal and your needs. But it was delicious, and we were treated to dessert. We had Chilean sea bass and halibut...Definitely going back.
We have been to Atlanta Fish Market numerous times and the food is consistently excellent. This was the first time the service was not good. Salads were brought at the same time as the entree and they ran out of side items and did not tell us until the entree was brought so no option to chose another. Dismal service!!
As always, the food was excellent. We were seated timely at our reservation time. Requested booth seating which we received. Service hit a snag when our sushi hors doerves arrived after our main courses, but not a biggie. However, paying the bill became an issue when our tab got mixed up with that of another table. Took some back and forth time to redo the bill and insure our credit card had been charged correctly and the bill adjusted for our buckhead diner gift card. I went online on my card site before departing to verify the correct charges.
Meal itself was very good. Valet parking guys were very polite and brought our car back up quickly.
