Manager was so sweet! My son dropped his water glass and was upset and they couldn’t have been nicer- sent a plate of cookies over and my son was so happy! Thank you for your kindness!
Great experience. Service was great and food was excellent.
I took my husband there to get seafood for his birthday. Never been there previously. We ordered the Asian-style fried shrimp as the appetizer and one grilled seafood platter entree and one fried seafood platter entree. The appetizer was pretty tasty. However, both of the seafood platters were very disappointing. The plate itself was not a “platter” as you would imagine; it was just slightly larger than a normal sized plate. Each platter cost $46, so you would expect something fairly large. Instead, there were only two small shrimp and two scallops on each plate, the fried fish and the salmon were way over-cooked, and the grilled platter was smothered in a strange lemon butter sauce. The scallops, both grilled and fried, were pretty good, but definitely not the best. Regarding the experience, we thought it was strange to see ripped booth seats as well as a tattered guest check presenter. The waitress was alright. The other servers did a great job at filling our water glasses, bringing bread, serving the food etc. After we got home, we wondered why we didn’t say anything to our waitress. We just were focused on each other and not in the mood to complain. We concluded based on the quality and quantity of food and lackluster experience altogether that we will never go back there again. We should have gone to The Optimist for seafood and quality dining experience instead. Also, we joked when we got home that even though we dislike Red Lobster, we probably could have gone there and eaten better food.
Our waiter seemed a little overwhelmed. He did not periodically check in with us to confirm our current mood and status at the time. He did make up for it with a birthday cake surprise for my fiance. It was very busy. The food and ambiance was perfect. I would still recommend it.
Awesome as always, only problem was NO stone crabs (our favorite).
Lump Crab cakes will make you slap your mama...don’t do that...but they are absolutely delicious 😋
The food was great, as always. The salmon trout is always excellent and the choice of appetizers and sides is plentiful....and all delicious. The crab croquettes were so good! But we received not one but TWO dirty wine glasses. That made us wonder what has happened to the high standard we’ve enjoyed here for many years. Pretty disgusting. And there was a group of people sitting next to us that were so loud and boisterous, we couldn’t hear ourselves think and it made conversation difficult. They were standing around at both of the tables they occupied and were playing videos loudly, getting in the way of the wait staff, and generally disrupting that whole section of the restaurant. We were slow to complain because we were the closest table and we didn’t want any trouble with this group. We were very surprised that a manager didn’t try to take control over the situation and try to ensure that the surrounding patrons have a nice dinner. We have been going to ATL Fish Market for many years and we were pretty disappointed with this experience. Not sure the excellent food is enough to bring us back. There are lots of restaurants in this city where we can get excellent food AND a nice dining experience.
Fantastic grouper franchisee,
Fabulous oysters Rockefeller,
Wonderful Skate wing meunière
Service was a little slow on Friday as our food and check were tardy in getting to us
Food was...wow!!! Incredible.
Food and service were great. The owners need to remodel this restaurant it looks tired. The tables need refinishing and the chairs are not in good shape. Spend some $
I truly enjoyed myself. Our server Mary was very helpful when it came to the menu and customer service. I never ate Oysters before and she perfect assisted.
Enjoyable evening for my husband's birthday. Food was very good and atmosphere very relaxed for a family dinner.
The atmosphere was not very keen on servicing the people.
& I Order was not prepared correctly.
I will not be back
Service was very poor tonight for some reason.
Food was excellent with the exception of the portion size. I ordered the signature lobster tail which was half the size that it should have been. When paying $60.00 for a tail you should get what the menu states.
They made it right by bringing more and apologized which was appreciated. I have been eating there since the restaurant went into business so I surely knew what to expect. I will continue to eat there for years to come.
The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. The only unusual thing was, we arrived early with our guest and were waiting for our daughter. We went into what we thought was the bar area but apparently this area is primarily for people to eat who don't want to sit in the main dining area. It took a while to even order drinks and we got the feeling that we were the exception not the norm. Having said that, the restaurant dining was absolutely enjoyable.
From the valet, service, to food. Everything was awesome! Definitely will be going back!
We sat in the bat area which proved to be quieter. There are not many places inAtlanta where you can depend on getting fresh fish properly cooked but we have always been satisfied here. Service is professional and attentive. Its mot cheap but it is good value for the money.
One of our favorite place! Great restaurant with consistently, outstanding service by Rudy!!!
Had a late reservation (9:45p) and was rushed the entirety of the meal. Wasn’t given option to order dessert (birthday celebration). Told we had 3 minutes to order appetizers, entrees and drinks. 3 minutes is what we were told verbatim despite a reservation. It is my understanding that restaurants don’t put disclaimers on quality service and experience depending on what time you come during normal operating hours. Hostess was rude and walked away when we requested booth seating. Busser was staring us down while we were eating our meal to rush us. He was oddly trying to intimidate us which I found strange.
Food tasted good and was fresh & well-prepared despite the fact that they sent it all at once (appetizers and entrees). Server was skillful, but rude in rushing us constantly. Still tipped 20% despite deplorable treatment...I’ve worked in industry and am respectful of people wanting to go home because I’ve been there (adding for context).
I generally liked the restaurant but have mixed feelings about going back because of how poorly I was treated.
Consistently good as always. The seafood is always fresh. All six in the party were delighted with their entree
The place has fallen off in recent months. The quality of the food (except perhaps the sushi) does not justify the prices.
My daughter and I ate there on Sunday. Our only complaint is that we wish we could have gotten more "breakfast" food on Sunday. We liked the food and our server was really nice.
Horrible! At a certain price point, I expect the wait staff to be knowledgeable about every item on the menu. The food was subpar and clearly pre-made. This is a volume business, akin to a Cheesecake Factory, not a quality dining experience. There are too many really great restaurants in Atlanta where $65/person is well spent. This is not one of them.
Noise level varies depending on where you are seated, goes from just a little on the louder side in the lower section to on the quiet side in the upper. Food was amazing, perfectly cooked. Service and wine recommendation was top notch. You cannot go wrong here.
The dish I ordered was “ok”. My husband enjoryed his meal. The service was excellent. I would return and try another dish.
Will definitely be back! So many more choices that really want to try
Atlanta Fish is always great. Food is so amazing that ambiance and service don’t really matter (both are great too, btw). Highly recommend!
We were celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday. This was our 1st visit. The waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful with her overall knowledge of the menu. Our food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. We won’t wait for another special occasion to return!!!
Good food, good service, and compared to their dinner prices, the lunch prices seemed fairly reasonable. We ate an early afternoon lunch on a Saturday. As a result it wasn't crowded so pretty quite. Only complaint is abysmal valet service which you are forced to use. Not expensive, but that is not the point. I loath trusting valets with my vehicle. I have had TWO stolen this way. Anyway, they weren't at all busy but still took 10 minutes to bring my car around. To think I got to pay for the experience. Enough to make me reconsider going back anytime soon. Unfortunate that the AFM allows such crummy valet service as it messes up an otherwise good experience.
Our waiter was fantastic! Our dinner was exceptional! We love dining at Atlanta Fish Market
Very nice place to have a date for two, dinner with friends or family, or some alone time. The location is beautiful and the service was amazing. Food was delicious and it felt very welcoming. Will be trying this place again.
Servers and wait staff very friendly. Menu had entrees for everyone - even us with diet restrictions. Loved the atmosphere. The food was delicious!
My wife and I both ordered the Lump Crabcake meal from the lunch menu. The crab cakes had more filler than lump crab meat which was extremely disappointing. The crab cakes themselves were much smaller than expected also. The sides of whipped potatoes and green beans were very good but did not override the issues with the crab cakes themselves. The waitress and the ambiance were good...
Requested a quiet table and that was exactly what we had. Very attentive server. Three of us had salmon and the other person had swordfish. Every one was quite happy with their plate. Reminded us to come back soon. Great lunch!
Wonderful Service! Food was delicious. Cant wait to go back!
Excellent Service And food! Definitely will be there again!
Service was not great and one of our dishes came out cold.
