First of all, my wife ordered the Grouper Francese and I ordered the Halibut broiled. My wife’s food came out fine but my fish was prepared sautéed rather than broiled. I sent mine back. The waitress acknowledged that I had ordered broiled and they had made a mistake. The problem with sending it back was it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive the first time. Nevertheless I sent it back. The manager came over and comped me a glass of wine. After about 30 more minutes by which time my wife had completed her meal my food arrived. It was broiled as ordered however it was mountain trout rather than the Halibut I had ordered. At this point I decided to let this mistake go and simply ate the trout. It was good but not what I ordered. I did not want to wait another 30 minutes for the correct order. We have been to the Atlanta Fish Marker a many times before and it was always excellent. Unfortunately this time was very disappointing and I attribute it to the server who must have entered my order incorrectly.
Gteat service and the food was excellent!
Fabulous as always
Our server was good. Food was amazing thank you for accommodating our party!!!!
You couldn’t run a restaurant better than this. Cosmin the manager always goes out of his way to personalize the experience and make it perfect. This restaurant has only gotten better over the years
Great service and food’. Love the Fish Market!!!
It was very pleasant and enjoyable environment with delicious food and great service.
Great service. Drinks were good. Appetizers were bland. Entrees were excellent.
excellent seafood can't say anymore, if your in Atlanta you have to eat there.
Got there an hour before my reservation on a Sun evening. Got seated right away. Service was excellent as well as the food.
The food was fantastic as always. The service was way less than stellar. We had also put in the notes of the reservation that we were celebrating a special occasion which our server didn’t know about. The service made the experience frustrating.
This was my first time visiting the Atlanta Fish Market and the occasion was my Birthday. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff were so nice and professional. I believe Lilly was our first waitress and she was very thoughtful about making me feel special for my celebration. I can not recall the name of the hostess at that time but she was very kind as well.
The food was absolutely delicious!! Everyone loved the presentation and flavor of their meals. Awesome. --I must say though, I had hoped that my blackened red snapper would be a larger size. It was amazing, just rather small but delish.
I flew into Atlanta from Tampa to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. I had reservations here and Oceanaire . I literally flipped a coin and decided to go with Atlanta Fish Market. Oh how I regret that decision. I called in advance to confirm my reservation and explained the special occasion and to NOT be seated by the entrance or by the kitchen. I asked about a birthday dessert to be brought out at the end. I was informed that it was complimentary etc.. We arrived and the valet line was backed up so we parked across the street in a parking garage. This restaurant was extremely crowded and tables piled closed together so not a good option for a special occasion. The hostess told us they were running behind and couldn’t state how many minutes. She literally said she had no clue. I asked what was the point of making a reservation if you cannot be guaranteed a seat at your time. So after they did sit us down right by the entrance where everyone lines up waiting to be seated. I pulled the hostess to the side and pointed out that this was my request not be be seated here which they confirmed when I called. Her response this is all we have if not you have to wait for another 30 minutes. Our server was nice and the food was good. So I was patiently waiting for the birthday dessert treat I discussed when I called. (Also note they wished my boyfriend Happy Birthday when we walked up to the hostess to let her know about our reservation). Anyway, the bill cameand no birthday dessert. Again I went to the hostess to complain. So imagine my complete distaste at this point with your restaurant. I paid at this point and the waiter and another man (I guess he was the manager, no clue as he didn’t introduce himself) came out with the birthday dessert. If I had gone to a restaurant or similar caliber in Tampa the service would’ve been completely different & they would work above & beyond to change your negative experience. Please train your staff to better serve your clients.
Food, always excellent! First time going on a Saturday night it was very busy. Service was subparagraph, from the young lady who walked us to our table to our server. We did not receive any bread, and kept having to ask for water refill. It was my bday so maybe expectations was high.. Will go back, but first time wasn't pleased with service or felt well taken care off at AFM
We were celebrating a birthday; our waitress was awesome!
At best waitress was ok
I have dined here before, but tonight was off. The server did not speak clear anf we could barely hear him. Bread loaf was over cooked and the crab cakes were not cooked enough.
Would I return? Yes I will
Excellent service and the food was great!!👍
Food was outstanding as usual but service was the worst I’ve experienced there and I have been a customer here for many years. We went to celebrate a Birthday at 2pm on Saturday. Set by windows as requested. Took 30 mins to get a bottle of wine and it wasn’t crowded at all. Will return soon but will not have this waiter ever. Food is still the best!
Food was excellent! I had Yellow Fin Tuna, Hong Kong Style....delicious! Pineapple Martinis.... yummy! The ambiance was nice, our waiter was very informative and helpful, and we had a great time.
Great food! Pretty packed, so a reservation is necessary for a Friday night.
We were celebrating my daughters 6th birtthday in Atlanta and she requested seafood for dinner.
It was a fantastic meal! They seated us quickly, our food came out fast and was pretty tasty. The servings were larger than expected. They even brought my daughter a special birthday dessert.
They have a kids menu and were very great with my kid, but the restaurant really has more of an adult vibe. My daughter is really mellow, but I would have felt a bit out of place with a more rambunctious child or an energetic toddler. Just my personal opinion though. It doesn't take away from my rating of this restaurant.
Price was fairly reasonable, when you take into consideration how they bring in fresh seafood daily. I'd rather spend a little more on fresh seafood than get a cheaper meal of frozen faire.
It was about 120 for 3 meals and and appetizer, plus drinks.
Vallet parking was also a great perk.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!
Our group loves to dine at the Atlanta Fish Market. Our dinner was selected from the specials that were offered by our lovely and efficient waitress. The food was very tasty! We enjoyed it all and shared it with each other. There was plenty to go around. The desserts were a bit scant but adequate. It was a wonderful end to a very busy and hectic day for each of us.
We celebrated my daughter’s birthday, and we had a lovely experience.
Good neighborhood eatery with a wide menu choice. Excellent fresh fish options and tasty bread and butter to whet the appetite.
It's cosnsistent good. Fresh seafood. Not outstanding.
I took my sister for lunch. We both ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which was fantastic! Our waiter was attentive. We were seated by the window with a view of the blooming flowers. It really was a perfect afternoon.
After hearing such great things about Atlanta Fish Market, as well as reading some reviews my expectation level was higher than my actual experience. We both ordered separate appetizers which were more appetizing than our actual entrees. Definitely better seafood restaurants such as Ray's and Oceanaire than Atlanta Fish Market. Finally the cleaniness of the floor was undesirable.
My wife and I recently celebrated my 75th birthday at the Fish Market. Every aspect, service, food, menu choices and ambiance among others were outstanding. We've been dining, usually for special occasions, at the FM since it opened years ago and it's hands down the best seafood restaurant in Atlanta. Never gets old.
This is the first time I've been back since I lost my husband Nov. 10th 2014 from complications from a plane crash that happen on Oct.16th 2014. Atlanta Fish Market was the last restaurant we had ate at the night before that next terrible day!
I've been wanting to come back because of the Great Seafood you have and of course the Bread Pudding, Oh.. and lets not forget the bread. I decided it was time! The Seafood of course was still at it's best and the Bread Pudding will always be my favorite!! Being there made me think of the happy moments I spent with my husband and made me Smile.. I will be returning soon.
Thank You, Atlanta Fish market
The waitress introduced herself as new and it went down hill from there. She took our drink and appetizer order, never came back. Had to flag her down to take our entree order. She placed sushi and drinks on the table and walked away. Still no entree order. Drink had bug in it, she was inattentive to our table, not noticing drink was untouched or asking was everything ok. Did not get to the entree, we left! Service this night was the worst ever experienced in this restaurant and we are regular guests.
It was amazing, I can’t wait to go back.
Out of Lobster by 8:00. Server and was had to find.
Food was great, ambiance was nice but cocktails were poor. Expected better at an establishment like this. Martinis were terrible!
This is by far my favorite spot, staff is always pleasant and food is always great. I always make a reservations and find that I wait less than 5 minutes to be seated.
Busy and noisy on Saturday evening. Food is fine but not worth the drive from suburbs
The food was amazing. Bailey our waiter was also amazing. The hostess have really poor attitudes and are extremely rude. Had a very bad experience with the hostess that was seating us. Bailey made up for it however. The waiters and bus-boys are great! Had the Rhode Island Calamari and Shrimp Cocktail for appetizers, phenomenal. The Maine Lobster and fried lobster tails are great. The Surf'N'Turf was a poor cut of steak but all the seafood that we had was well above expectations!
Great food and service...Julia was the best, she was engaging and kid friendly 😃. The valet parking was convenient but busy (it was a Saturday evening), however super courteous valet team though👍🏾
Disappointed with this past visit, food & service were not up to a restaurant of this caliber & reputation.
