Fabulous fabulous food, wonderful service, brilliant wine list. This restaurant is outstanding in every way, thank you for such a brilliant night. Wish you were in Australia, would be a regular restaurant for me.
Well deserved two stars, perfect execution, creative and delicious. Just fantastic. The wine list is superb, and not badly priced for NYC, do seek the advice of the sommelier.
Excellent Job By the Chef crafting an exciting menu in which each dish progressively was better than the last.
Evan did a tremendous Job with the wine and beverage service as well
Enjoyed a very inventive and delicious tasting menu dinner at Atera. The staff all worked together like a well oiled machine. The service was friendly and unobtrusive and the food was outstanding.
Amazing experience - ambiance, service and especially the food.
Had great seats. Wine list for American reds was limited. Chef was able to accommodate our food preferences. No real bread course. Since I don't eat beef and a veal course was served, I was given a vegetarian course instead of being offered another protein, which should have been substituted. Came away satisfied though not full. Service was impeccable. Staff were all very nice.
This was pretty much the best foodie dining experience I’ve had and that includes some pretty spectacular Michelin-rated dining we’ve done in Europe and Asia.
Not cheap but well worth the cost. We tried the “temperance pairing” mocktails and ordered one pairing to share and sipped our wine. The mocktail pairing was super interesting and also, definitely worth trying just for the presentation and it’s nothing you’d get anywhere.
Will be back!
I have been to a lot of restaurants, but 5his the best experience I have ever had!
Definitely a 5-star experience. Food there has interesting combinations and service is outstanding. :)
The food was great. The waiters and chefs were really nice. They remembered my friend's birthday and brought her a nice desert and gave us a personalized menu. Really nice touch which I appreciate. Also my friends liked the ambience and soundtrack they said it reminded them of "Billions". The counter seating was nice everyone was quiet and respectful with phone usage. Very high end experience. Thanks!
Amazing place, worthy of 3 michelin stars. Having dined at Marea the night before, the two restaurants are in a different league (though both are great).
We had 15 courses, spaced out over about 3 hours. Kaluga caviar with pistachio ice cream and beer foam, king crab with chicken skin, waffle with trout roe and arctic char, ricotta with truffles and balsamic, cedar veal, duck, all outstanding and well portioned.
Wine list was exhaustive, with plenty of good choices in the $80 - $150 range, which isn't always the case. Ended up going through two bottles.
Service was top notch. The only restaurant (out of dozens of Michelin starred ones we've eaten at) that noticed that my wife is left handed and offered to setup cutlery accordingly...
The whole experience was amazing from start to finish.
Absolutely amazing food and staff. Everyone goes out of their way to be friendly and accommodating, and the food is out of the world!
Been to all the top michelin star reataurants in Manhattan on more than one occasion (Eleven Madison Park, Le Bernardin, Masa, Per Se and many others) and Atera blew them all away from the service, food, drinks and everything inbetween. This place is UNBELIEVABLE!
Wonderfully inventive tasting menu in an intimate, comfortable setting. Relative to other expensive high end restaurants, Atera isn't stuffy and has a great vibe, good music and an interactive, welcoming staff. Amazing to watch the kitchen in action and the dishes they come up with are both fantastic and memorable.
I went to Atera with my husband for his birthday. Dinner was excellent with creative, jewerl-like dishes and top notch service. They served more seafood than expected, which was pleasent surprise. Most memorable dishes: Sea urchin with egg, truffles on ricotta and bread, scallop with caviar (my husband’s favorite). The most pleasing dish to my eyes was the one with potato, cucumber and snap peas. The grand finale was ice cream wrapped in a crepe (before our eyes). Restaurant staff was ready to answer all of our questions. Very professional and friendly at the same time. Overall, one of our best dinner nights.
Altera was really fantastic. It was my first time there and definitely will go again. The food was spectacular, the room very sleek, elegant and beautiful.
It was the most amazing experience. The food, the service - everything was sublime. I loved everything about Atera.
Amazing place. Amazing food. 2-year wedding anniversary and everyone was on top of everything to the last detail. Food-wise, it was a great experience, with subtle and bold flavors. 18 courses that wowed my wife and I, one after the other.
Food and service were outstanding but the seating was uncomfortable. The stools are okay at first but not great for a 2.5 hour tasting menu. A foot rail would help immensely also.
Everything was perfect. Food was amazing, flavors were rich and left at that just the right amount of full
I've been to a few treating menu restaurants in NYC, this is the best, hands down.
Overwhelmingly incredibly experience. Food to service to ambience. Truly beyond comparison and worth the trip.
The food was absolutely superb, if you ever get a chance you should go, you won't be disappointed, and it's worth every penny
Excelente pero exageradamente caro su comida muy buena un poco tenso el ambiente demasiado formal sin permitir que realmente disfrutes el momento!!
Delicious and creatively presented food, and incredible service to boot! Came with my family, who thinks that this is the best fine dining restaurant in New York so far. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.
Best restaurant in nyc
The food and service was divine! Wonderful experience. It’s a 2 Michelin restaurant so in terms of the value to food ratio, you know what you are getting. Phenomenal experience.
Had one of the most amazing experience here. Service was exceptional and so enjoyable, food and wine stimulated me from every senses, feeling of nature but with such sophistication. Made me feel alive and so glad to be a human, to enjoy such time on our planet. I would recommend to bring anyone special; as this place will make you feel very special.
Outstanding food, service and experience!!! Highly recommend. Extraordinarily accommodating, making every guest feel special. One of a kind restaurant!
What is there to say except - FABULOUS!
This was the ultimate in dining experience. The food was sublime, Chef was incredibly accommodating to food issues, the service better than anything we have ever experienced. We all felt so special!!
A beautiful intimate restaurant. Try the non alcoholic drink pairing that includes a lot of house made/distilled/fermented concoction. It's a much more interesting and money worthy option. Over all, I like the seafood courses a lot more than the meat course.
The service and food were absolutely amazing! We did the wine pairing and it was outstanding. Chef Ronny was personally overseeing the kitchen and it was a great experience to be able to see the rest of the team working, just wish he would’ve been more interactive with the guests. Will definitely come back!
My favorite restaurant in the city... everything is simply perfect!!!!
Despite having 2 Michelin stars, Atera is severely underrated. I can’t emphasize enough how enjoyable the experience is here and how good the food is. Chef Emborg is awesome and the service is impeccable.
Amazing as always!
I can't say enough good things about my experience at Atera. The waitstaff was so attentive and genuinely kind. The fifteen course meal was delectable and the atmosphere so intimate. I especially loved the caviar, IPA cream and pistachio gelato dish. I would never think to combine those ingredients, but it was absolutely delicious. The lime juniper starter drink and the mandarin dessert were also awesome. To have food and service like this, the $285 is really a bargain. I would go again in a minute.
