Impeccable service and incredible food. It was a wonderful experience and I'd be amazed if they didn't receive a 3rd Michelin star soon
The food, presentation and service were all wonderful.
Ronny knocked Jr. out of the park. Superb on all fronts. The only aspect that could use improvement was the music. This would likely require additional dedicated staff.
Amazing experience. Absolutely perfect in every detail.
Fantastic ! great chef and team. Specially the Brazilian guy
It is impossible to state what a great experience Atera was in a written review. From the perfectly executed and plated food through the amazing wine pairing (just splurge and go with the reserve pairing you won't regret it) Atera hit every note. The tasty and creative Temperance pairing my wife enjoyed added a few more wow moments to an amazing meal. Beyond the great food and wine the relaxed atmosphere and genuine service levels were beyond top notch. Absolutely no pretension here. The entire team, starting with Chef Emborg were not only super talented but personable, engaging, humble and patiently answered each one of my many questions about the dishes. A night to remember!
Amazing. Expensive but worth it for the experience. Best food I’ve ever had.
Romantic vibes - dimly lit and you can watch the kitchen work (very quietly, orderly, and clean i must add). Too bad the finance bros seated next to us didn't understand what inside voices are... but not the restaurant's fault. Food was creative and delicious - everything on the tasting menu was fantastic and they really accommodated to all the dietary restrictions we had. Dining was an experience instead of just a meal
World class cuisine. Is Atera the most innovative and taste-focused restaurant in NYC in 2018?
Absolutely stellar meal from start to finish! Everyone from the front of the house to the kitchen made us feel special in this intimate dining salon. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. A myriad array of ingredients, technique, textures and flavors keep your excited for the next course to come. Their non-alcoholic pairing option is an incredible journey into what is possible in that category of drinks. Bravo !
Exceptional food, service, and overall hospitality.
This is a must for any special occasion
My wife and I celebrated her birthday with dinner at Atera, and everything was fantastic! The food was top notch, with a few standout courses being the Waffle with Tuna and Summer Truffles, the Halibut with Cauliflower and Brown Butter, and the coconut sorbet. Equally as impressive was the friendliness of the staff. Throughout the entire night we felt welcomed, and the staff was very attentive. The service and food were both tremendous.
Drink is too expensive and people are snobby who works at there.
One of the most wonderful solo dining experiences of my life. Truly special food and people.
Amazing It eas sn excellent experience
Great service and food
What a wonderful dining experience. The whole meal is like a dinner show where the kitchen staff work their magic right in front of you. I love how intimate the dining room is set up and every dish was picture perfect as well as delicious.
Creative food, very good service. Excellent
Incredible! Attention to detail as well as incredible food and interiors are so hard to do well and they hit it out of the park. The wine or tea pairings were great, the service is personable and almost invisible. The cooks are right there for you to see and ask questions, very interactive. Would always go back. The street out front is under construction, so you might have to walk a bit.
You know the moment you settle in to the intimate u shaped bar seating area enveloping the “eclectic” kitchen the meals not going to suck.
While the food was outstanding, the most impactful memory of the experience was the teamwork of the staff. Barely a whisper could be heard as the team scurried about with every movement seemingly choreographed down to the countless tweezer movements plating each dish. A refreshing scene compared to the chaos and stress observed in so many Michelin stared restaurants.
Three of the eighteenish courses were among the top five dishes I’ve encountered.
The succulent squid noodles served in a brown butter white miso sauce with raw egg yolk may have been the best bite of all time. The sauce was so rich and layered a shoe may have been edible enrobed in this yellow nectar.
I’m not a huge fan of fennel on most occasions “but” the fennel confit with white truffles had a lasting sweet and savory warmth that lingered in the most positive. Of all the dishes served thus would be the most complicated to replicate, for me anyway.
Lastly, but not least of my top three of the evening was the oxtail wrapped in cabbage. Imagine fall apart beef, in what must be a sauce made from the reduction of an entire cows bones, yes it’s that intense wrapped in a cabbage leaf with just enough acid from the lime to set off an explosion in ones mouth.
Chef Emborg and his team should receive their third Michelin star!
Quite simply the best possible meal. It was fantastic.
The best fine dining.
A very pleasant experience. I would have liked more of a clear journey through the courses, and the middle meat courses were a bit simple after what had preceded, but otherwise I enjoyed the combinations of flavors and textures. Service was impeccable, to the point where a server was ready with a Tide pen when my companion thoughtlessly spilled red wine on my pants!
Atera was such an amazing experience. Everything was exceptional here. This deserves 3 stars michelin and is one of the few restaurant experiences which I thought broke new ground on multiple levels including the service, the food itself, and all the small elements that make an exceptional experience.
We went for our anniversary and had a truly extraordinary experience. We dine out in NYC frequently and this was among the best experiences we can recall. The food was fresh, inventive and perfectly seasoned and prepared and the service exceptional. We opted for the wine pairing, which was a wonderful addition. A terrific choice for celebrating a special occasion.
It’s beyond my expectations
Innovative, creative and delicious food, simply superb, can’t wait to be back
The attentive service and presentation of each course hands down 5 stars!
Food wise not blown away per say, on the scale 1-10, for me it's a solid 8.
We went in May, the halibut and the duck on the menu was amazing. We did the wine pairing, there was champagne, 3 diff white, 3 red and dessert wine. Not too thrill on the whites, but couple of the red were good. Especially the 2007 Cuvee X Mourvedre went really well with the duck!
It was a great experience over all, we enjoyed it.
Great food. Wonderful combinations of taste, temperature and texture. Definitely worth a visit!!
Cumpleños de mi esposa
Food are better then some other 2 star restaurants. Quite and enjoy. Services was good.
Well it's been my 2nd time in a short period of time at Atera, as I was impressed on the first time and want to make sure about this place, that's why I came back in less than 2 months.
I believe and I bet Atera will be Michelin 3 stars very soon, the food, the service, everything is perfect and fantastic, the restaurant works like an Orchestra.
I love good restaurants and I've been to many and also to all the Michelin stars in NYC, and my favorite was a 3 star one Le Bernardin, but from now on, in my opinion, there is a tie between Atera and Le Bernardin, they are the best restaurants in NYC.
This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. Fantastic tasting menu with every detail done to perfection. Probably the best cooked fish I have ever had. Very expensive but you’re getting a dinner and a show with this chef’s table seating set up.
I’m not sure how to say how incredible the entire experience was. It was wildly expensive but worth every penny. We don’t get this kind of culinary experience every day but when we do we should celebrate. The service was equal to the rest. I can’t wait to save up and go back. Thank you Atera!!!!
Outstanding food and service!
Celebrated my 50th bday. We had the wine pairing. What a wonderful evening. Food was excellent, service was great, ambience - cool vibe. What a rememberable evening.
Eine besondere Erfahrung am Chefs Table.
Tolles Menü und besondere Serviceerfahrung durch die Köche selbst
A fun place for dinner. The tasting menu was over 15 courses and would say 75% were fantastic.
