Atardi [formerly Simply Fish] Ratings and Reviews
We very much enjoyed our dinners at Atardi. We returned two other nights during our week's stay at the Marriott Resort. The setting is unbeatable: tables are placed on the sand just a few feet from the water's edge. The view of the sunset is spectacular. There is live music. (Each night we were there, there was one talented vocalist or instrumentalist performing with recorded tracks. All three made a nice addition to the atmosphere.) The menu is mostly seafood, but there are beef and lamb options as well. We enjoyed most the tuna "carpaccio," the shrimp starter, the sea bass, and the scallop entree. Portions seem large, and we did not have room for dessert either visit. But we nevertheless ordered a serving of the coconut cake, and it was very good, even though there was more mousse than cake; not complaining.
We were seated at a table for two as close to the water as you could get without getting your feet wet. So relaxing to hear the movement of the water as you enjoy some fabulous fresh fish. A beautiful presentation illuminated by some unusual table lights. The live music in the background was the perfect accompaniment to this romantic setting. The smooth voice of the singer/trumpet player presenting old standards added another layer to this perfectly beautiful setting.
We had a beautiful dinner here on our second night in Aruba. So far it has been our favourite place to dine.
Tables are on th beach and you enjoy a gourmet meal with your toes in the sand literally steps away from the calm ocean. The service was excellent and we also enjoyed live music. Can’t get any better than this!
We have been to Aruba for many years and stay at the Marriott. I always placed Madame Janette’s as the number one place. I dined at both this year and Atardi is the best. The Macadamian Grouper is awesome and the service is great. Relax and enjoy the sunset — this is not a quick meal but worth every second.
This restaurant is literally set up on the beach each night; our table was mere feet from the water's edge, which provided a spectacular view of the sunset and evening sky. The staff are well-equipped at dealing with rain. When it started to drizzle, they moved our table under an umbrella; when it was clear the rain had passed, we were moved right back to water's edge again. We tried three fish dishes, all of which were of high quality. Overall, a very good meal with spectacular ambiance.
We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Atardi. The meal was fabulous, service exceptional and the ambiance amazing. Staff provided complimentary glasses of champagne and dessert to share. We've dined here several times and have been wowed every time. Thanks for making our meal memorable.
Perfection doesn't even begin to describe our experience. The service was impeccable and the ambiance and views were breathtaking! Get there right as they open at 6:15pm to watch the sunset over the ocean. They sat us quickly, immediately offered to take sunset photos, and gave complimentary glasses of champagne/small appetizer for our anniversary. The tables are spread out along the beach enough so you can have privacy while you eat. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the blackened mahi and red snapper, both cooked and presented beautifully! The staff was extremely friendly and attentitive to our needs without being overbearing. The live music was an extremely talented one-man band. We also loved how we could choose our ambiance with their unique lighting options. We would 100% recommend Atardi; simply one of the best experiences of our lives!
EXCELLENT DINNING ON THE BEACH. TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF AND DINE BY THE SEA. SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. WE HAVE EATEN HERE ON OUR LAST NIGHT IN ARUBA ABOUT 5 OR 6 TIMES. ALWAYS GET THE LOBSTER TAIL, IT'S GREAT. PRICING IS COMPARABLE WITH OTHER RESTURANTS IN IT'S CLASS.
So I went for my 35th birthday. It was awesome! We ate with our feet in the sand and the live music was soooo good. Would definitely go back. The wait staff was super nice and attentive. All around great night. A bit pricey but hay you are dinning on the beach.
The setting for Atardi is lovely being right on the beach. They had a singer which was nice also. Service was very good. Unfortunately we were not happy with our meals. 2 people had the sea bass and found it very buttery. Another had scallops which were ok. Nothing was impressive. Perhaps wrong choice on entrees. Server very nice and when he saw we didn't enjoy our meal he removed one entree from the check unsolicited which was thoughtful considering the cost of the meal.
Waiter was very nice and took very nice picture and video of my husband and me. Food was slow to come out and was not exceptional. I had surf and turf and the lobster was over cooked. I liked it better when it was simply fish. Better service when I went before. I was disappointed.
This place is perfectly romantic. First the service was impeccable, the food was wonderful - taste and portion was perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful! On the beach, quiet, ambient lighting on each table. Entertainment that complemented the atmoaphere. It was one of the best dinners overall that my husband and I have had in a while and we enjoy eating out a couple of times a week. We will be sure to return on our next visit to Aruba.
