Wasn’t bad. Had a dirty plate, server was great. Food was “pre-cooked” and I couldn’t request to have my burger cooked medium rare. Bathrooms were super clean tho.
The combination of great food and superb service provides for an outstanding meal and sharing of time with those you care so much for. Wonderful experience.
Our food was over 45 minutes late coming to the table. Although Andrea was excellent in getting our drinks and soup promptly, our entrees took an extremely long time. We did get complimentary desserts , but waiting so long ruined our usually enjoyable experience.
I thought the menu was limited as far as selection of entrees. Would have liked to see more choices.
Server and service were great
Good as usual
My husband and I had dinner here to celebrate his birthday on Thursday evening and totally enjoyed it. My husband’s steak was juicy and tender, and I had the coconut shrimp which was a special dish. I would absolutely recommend the coconut shrimp if it’s on the menu again sometime. The shrimp were huge, perfectly prepared and had a lovely drizzle of siracha sauce on top. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We were pleased that the restaurant was only moderately filled on Thursday so that we were able to enjoy the live piano music and our own conversation. If you want a pleasant dinner out, come on a weeknight; Friday and Saturday evenings are for those who enjoy noise and yelling to the person right next to you.
Everything I took a bite of on this menu changed my life! Go, go right now.
What can I say but "WOW!!!" It's a shame we can't give them more than 5 stars for they certainly deserve it.
We had an intimate courthouse wedding and made reservations for the party to dine at At The Rail afterwards. They allowed my brother-in-law to drop off our wedding cake earlier that day, which they graciously set up for us on a small table beside ours. We were treated like royalty by the staff as they helped us set up a champagne toast and even helped us take care of the cake. Everyone that we encountered that evening was absolutely amazing. I've never seen a more welcoming and friendly staff. They certainly made this new bride feel like a queen on her wedding day.
We, without a doubt, recommend At The Rail to anyone looking for a special occasion outing, date night or just a casual dinner out. You won't be sorry. The food and the service are absolutely phenomenal! We have certainly added At The Rail to our list of favorites for sure!
Our waitress was awesome! The table out on the balcony was nice (except for the lantern bugs, but they can’t help for them). The food is just not very good. The scallops were not good. My husbands bratwurst was very tasteless. My French onion soup was mediocre at best, not beef-y enough. The potato leek soup wasn’t bad. Even my Caesar dressing on my salad was not very good. I wish the food was better, cause we like the place.
Have eaten here before (for dinner twice and once for lunch), but returned this time for us to treat a friend to lunch. Looked at menu on 2 different sites and both showed your nice chicken salad sandwich on wheat-berry bread - but it wasn't on the menu at all this visit (but was when I was previously there for lunch). Waitress was very helpful and offered to ask the kitchen if it was possible to make 3 chicken salad sandwiches (we told her we would order something else if not available). Sandwiches were brought to the table and looked delicious. They were delicious, except - the bread was hard as a rock. None of us mentioned this to the waitress since she was so gracious to fill our request. Our desserts (huge pieces of carrot cake) were wonderful. Unfortunately, the music was way, way too loud. Even though there were just the 3 of us seated at your normal sized small, square table; we all had trouble hearing each other due to the loud music - had to keep asking each other to repeat what they said. Only a few other tables were occupied, so the noise wasn't coming from the other customers. When rating the sound on your scale, the loudest was indicated as "Energetic" - but it was really "Deafening"
I've eaten there several times over the years and I thought this particular menu was strange (wasn't expecting the former buffet fare). The value was poor and the cost too high, in my opinion, based on what we had to eat. I ordered Caesar Salad and the kitchen had no Romaine/Iceberg lettuce. I had a regular salad with Caesar Dressing and some sort of crispy things but not croutons.
I could not, at this time, recommend At the Rail to another family member or friend. This saddens me because of many happy memories associated with Delaware Park.
We checked out the restaurant as we are looking for a place to have an intimate dinner after a courthouse wedding. The atmosphere is cozy, the pianist was delightful, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. We highly recommend At the Rail to anyone and looking forward to celebrating our wedding there.
Always a satisfied customer. Excellent service and great food.
Outside dining overlooking the golf course was an enjoyable luncheon experience.
Food was cold. Bacon not crisp as ordered. Sourdough toast wasn't toasted.
Don't get Brunch here

Good menu. More suited for lunch and dinner.
Great atmosphere and service.
Will definitely go again.
Just ok - not worth going back. Took a long time for food to come out. They close at 8pm so last call is 7:45pm. They were known for their crab cakes but they weren’t on the menu. Lobby is stark and dingy. Can’t imagine having a wedding there. The place looks like they are closing up. Display cabinets empty and dusty, old, fake greenery. They obviously are not trying.
Everyone loved the food and drinks great service and a piano player check out the flatbread and Bavaria pretzel
Went for lunch for my adult daughters birthday . It was great! Our waitress was fantastic
Very great prompt service and food was delish
Excellent place to eat and great food. Will definitely go again!
The food was delicious, waitstaff was pleasant. The service was slow.
Pasta embarrassingly overcooked- crunchy… was replaced when asked but new pot of pasta required and two people had finished their meal when third and pasta dish appeared. 2 filet orders were of different temperatures- served to wrong order- overall the food was tasty but human factor brought overall experience 180 degrees from previous impressions. Dining room was very crowded- staffing minimal. Seemed unprepared for the crowd.
It was fantastic! The scallops were amazing, and the fettuccine was perfect!
I was alittle upset that the crab cake had been removed from the menu… that was my main reason for choosing the rail. But the filet made up for the loss.. it was delicious
Once again a pleasant dinner at At The Rail. Laura our server was attentive without hovering. Food exactly as we ordered. Lovely evening.
At The Rail has excellent food, service and decor. Unfortunately it has poor acoustics and always seems to be very noisy in the dining room. While I like the restaurant, the noise is a major drawback.
Dining room really dark, so we opted for outside seating. Two of us were seated at a huge outdoor table big enough for six? We saw smaller tables in a roped-off section. Consequently, when the server approached, it was from behind us, so we couldn’t see her. Never moved to the opposite side of the table so we could see her. Never gave her name. She was friendly and pleasant, though.
Food was best part of the evening: avocado toast (shared, no side plate offered), crab cake, short rib. Carrot cake just ok.
One thing off-putting: they ran out of the wine I was drinking and when I got my second glass, the server substituted a different wine without telling me. Not sure how any server in this level restaurant would think that was ok.
Despite the food being good, overall the evening was just so-so.
Disappointed in the food: no crackers served with the bland clam chowder and no lettuce served with the shrimp tacos. Also, very little shredded cheese came with the tacos. Breaded red snapper sandwich was okay, but too thin to have a moist texture.
The food and service were excellent as usual. Always a good spot to meet someone for lunch.
Great place to eat. Great service, nice, safe atmosphere. Staff attentive.
Excellent food. Unique dishes. Highly recommended.
We went for brunch as advertised on their website but when we got there no brunch was being served. The website should have been updated. Once past that the food was good!
Phillip as great! The entire staff is wonderful and the food excellent !
We truly enjoyed our brunch at The Rail. The last time we ate there was early March right before the shut-down. We will be pleased when there are more breakfast menu items, understanding that the Brunch we remember will probably not return anytime soon.
However, the shrimp omelet was wonderful and our waitress exceptionally helpful.
Phillip is a wonderful server! The entire staff is great!
Enjoying dinner with background live piano music contributed to a lovely evening. Food was good and service was impeccable.
