Could not have been happier. From the moment I arrived the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely spectacular and fresh as could be. I started with the Kumamoto oysters Served with their house with a tad of Tobikko and caviar. Wonderful. The seaweed salad was a great refreshing side dish. I finished up some of the freshest tasting sushi I never had. They had baby yellow fan, and Toro. I had an assortment of individual pieces of sashimi. Topped it off with a small glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I have a nice selection of cocktails and it was a 2-for-1 happy hour. Definitely a place like a miss.

Great sushi spot where you get the bang for your buck. Don't be surprised by the line that's out the door, it moves fairly fast. However, I do recommend scheduling a reservation.

Happy hour is great - drinks are BOGO free!

Everything was very good. We got a window seat which was awesome. I could see the Empire State Building from my seat. Waitress was wonderful and gave us good suggestions. Food presentation was very nice and the food was delicious.

I don't recommend this restaurant. The service was slow to start; but did pick up. The food was average to below average. The soup was pretty good; but the sushi overall seemed less fresh and disappointing based on the reviews. It's expensive when you compare to the competition. The noise level was exceedingly high. Almost unbearable. Distracted from enjoying your experience.

Great service, generous portions and very reasonable price. The fish tasted very fresh which is the most important aspect of a sushi/sashimi meal.

Very nice spot. Wasn't sure at first because of the website. Not much to see. But we took a chance and was very pleased. Our server was Awesome!!! Food was Amazing. I'm not a fan of plum wine but that one was very good.

We love Asuka! The sushi is consistently great and very affordable. The service is always wonderful, and their happy hour cocktails are great, too. We love meeting friends here to catch up - they never rush you out.

Asuka is a very popular reasonably priced neighborhood sushi restaurant. Plus a very good salad bar instead of the usual iceberg lettuce and ginger glop salad.
Service is fast and friendly. They like to turn over tables. Food is very good.

We love Asuka. The shrimp shumai, hot and sour soup, and special rolls are our favorites. We always have a good time, becasue the nicest people work there. They are always helpful and attentive. The restaurant can get very lively, but it only feels fun. Never noisy and tense as some places can get.

Asuka has come a long way over the years - they remodeled a number of years ago and the food has improved along with the ambiance - kind of festive and a good value. There special rolls a re huge and inventive.

I love this place. It's one of our "go-to" places for our weekly dinner-dates. The staff are friendly, helpful, and the food is excellent. It has become very popular (deservedly so) and a reservation is necessary!

I only had a two hours or so between trains at Penn Station. My daughter and I have been to Asuka before. It's only a little bit south of the station, an easy walk, and the service is always good. The food in both quality, presentation, freshness, etc. is always great. I also can't complain about the 2 for 1 happy hour prices. As you can see, the Chef's Sashimi is bound to impress.

I found this place on Opentable, because it was one of the only NY restaurants to host 11 people. Although they were running 5min behind with getting our table, the staff quickly fixed their impression. We had several in-sync waiters accommodating us with their delicious food and complimentary birthday cake at the end! They even did separate checks for all 11 of us (which doesn’t happen often)! The food was FANTASTIC and so FRESH!!!! The owner wishes me a Happy Birthday at the end and apologized for the wait, which I complimented him on all the accomplishments! Fabulous dining, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
