Wonderful location, and the food and drinks were great!!
My friend and I visited from Arizona and were excited about the High Tea. We went too early on limited time but Melissa the amazing manager pulled some strings and their chef made us our own high tea. We were treated like royalty and everyone was so great. The mini sandwiches and desserts and tea were all amazing!! 10/10 would recommend. Melissa made our experience wonderful!
We had an absolutely terrible experience at the high tea. The waiter was stressed and the service was terrible. They brought the food out at different times, had the champagne overflow the bottle and could not remember which tea went to which person. It was for a friend's birthday so we wanted a special celebration. This was anything but special!! Extremely disappointed.
Perfect location for high tea!! Lovely setting, outstanding tea and food! Great ambience. Pleasant and helpful staff. Would highly recommend!
Food was overpriced for what we ordered. The service was the best part of the dining experience.
Always a wonderful experience. Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent food. Caring service.
We stayed at the St Regis for my birthday weekend and went to Astor Court for Breakfast. The service was phenomenal, the food was great. I will go again next time I stay at the St. Regjs.
From the moment you arrive, you are transported. The mural on the ceiling is beautiful and takes you away.
Our waiter took great care of us and explained the various courses. The food was terrific. You were not rushed. It was so nice to sit, eat and be able to hear your conversation. I will definitely be back.
We went for restaurant week lunch. Not so much for the food which was quite good.but for the ambiance. The high mtaled ceilings and the crystal chandeliers. How elegant. Worth the experience
Excellent Absolutely Wonderful
Very nice setting in a prestigious hotel. Very nice with the restaurant week price
Food and service very good. If you want to feel fancy and have a good breakfast this will suit you.
Had Restaurant Week menu. Delicious food. Great evening. Would recommend.
Excellent. I enjoyed my meal here during Restaurant Week. Excellent service and the ambiance and decor is very lux. I will return for the risotto, which I am still dreaming about.
My husband and I went For lunch. They had a party of about 30 to 35 people sitting right next to us so it's hard to hold a conversation. Food was OK service excellent.
I made 11:30am for lunch but they said it's a breakfast time.
They took us to the lounge not the dining room.
the receptionist and waiter, their manners were rude and rough.
We were disappointed.
Restaurant week menu included fillet mignon, a treat and a great deal. The setting is elegant and charming.
Service wasn’t very attentive. We struggled to get refills on water. We resented their charging $9 for coffee. Even at a fancy place that is steep (and with no warning).
Non RW menu was really pricey, but that is to be expected in one of the old Grand Dame hotels. (St Regis).
we came here for NY Restaurant week lunch. Best decision we made. We havr not seen each other in a while and we were celebrating successes in our career! The set menu was great... although we wished there was a vegetarian option for one of my guests.
A wonderful visit with amazing food, this is a classic of NYC and well worth visiting.
Everything was amazing. We were seated promptly. Our server was personable and on his game. I ordered the filet mignon and it melted in my mouth. Wow! Plus their innovative basil infused chocolate cake was unexpectedly phenomenal. This was such a pleasant surprise, especially for a Monday night out.
A friend and I went for dinner for restaurant week. The risotto was slightly undercooked for our taste, but the beef was perfect, cooked wonderfully to two different point, and the desserts, especially the chocolate and basil lingot was rich and had a series of surprising flavours. The chef came to each table.
The host offered a table very close to the other table and we could hear other people’s conversations too clearly while they have many tables open at the time. Also, the service was not good and it took forever for our food to be prepared. The food was not to the standard we expected.
Food and service was fantastic, as expected! The decor and setting gave the feeling of upscale dining, while the ambiance was sophisticated yet relaxed.
Great food, unbearably slow service. My friend and I made a 5.45pm reservation during restaurant week and both arrived early so were seated at 5.30pm. We didn't leave until 8.50!! Thankfully we were having fun catching up so enjoyed spending more than 3 hours at the restaurant but -- we didn't appreciate that the waitstaff had clearly "forgotten" us, and it was impossible to flag them down. The manager comped our drinks (1 each), but still it was a little ridiculous. We waited 45minutes between our main course and dessert (& we had to remind the waitstaff to bring it). On the plus side, the champagne risotto was sublime, and the harissa chicken was very tasty. Dessert was fine--I recommend the strawberry creme brulee over the chocolate lingot.
We went for restaurant week so the lunch was worth the price. The food was good but I mainly went for the atmosphere which was nice. The service was really friendly and polite.
I cancelled 9am booking and rebooked 9:30am under the same reservation name. Staff didn't have the record and release our table to some people else when we arrived at 9:30am on time. Staffs attitude were extremely rude and very unhelpful. Overall experience was terrible.
We very much enjoyed our experience and so appreciate the accommodation for my gluten intolerance—although I will say that I have had better gluten-free bread. A beautiful setting, lovely service, and yummy food. However, my friend and I were both sick later. So that was disappointing. I blame the crab! It was the only thing that tasted a little “off.”
The decor is beautiful. Seating lovely. Service fantastic. Always much fun
Perfect afternoon of tea with friends. Everything was just right, the service and attention, the harpist playing nearby, and the acoustics allowed us to chat comfortably.
Had a great time. The staff were attentive and the manager was so kind and hospitable. The food was delicious- we went for bar food and even that was great- I’ve been thinking about that lobster roll and calamari since I had it. Nice for every day dining and wouldn’t mind if a nice guy took me on a date there. :)
While some may consider this place very expensive you get what you pay for - remember this is at the St. Regis hotel and the quality of the restaurant matches the superior quality of that famous hotel.
The service and the food are fantastic. beautiful setting also.
Having worked with Marriott for a couple years in the past, I knew it would be mediocre food so my expectations were set real low. My boyfriend wanted the ambience which was mainly the real reason we chose to eat at Astor Court. The risotto is a tourist attraction; risotto was bland and boring and did not remotely come close to what was describe on the menu - no saffron at all. My steak with my eggs was rare as I had asked but cold; as if it was par cooked and then never reheated again. Service was to be expected in a unionized hotel; robotic and lackadaisical. Our server was very kind but there were a few moments where we needed him and waited a little to fulfill our request. I think the biggest disappointment was the King Cole Bar where we had only 2 French 75s for $25 each and for that price they better live up to the historical hype the bar tries to maintain. They were the crappiest French 75s I’ve ever had; the bartender didn’t even bother to garnish them the proper way. Marriott continues to never surprise me with its consistency in bland food and service.
Food was average. Prices exorbitant: my wife’s LBT sandwich cost $36.00, my single espresso $12.00 etc...Ordered egg’s Benedict for breakfast: $34.00, and it was one of the worst I have ever had.
Was surprised that no diners waere present when we arrived at 7pm..only a few arrived later..the service was very slow...waited almost 45 mins for entree. Food was average. The options were very limited. Was disappointed as it's an upscale hotel.
Lovely place, elegant atmosphere and wonderful food. My husband said the lamb chops were the best he ever had. We look forward to going again.
Lovely atmosphere. Staff is extremely professional and polite. Harpist was wonderful. Food was very good and interesting
