Astor Court Ratings and Reviews
Went to Astor Court for high tea , the hotel ,the St Regis is gorgeous.
The tea selection is great. I had an amazing Vanilla Roibos tea. The menu served on the tower is new, with more health conscious food. There are adequate sandwiches, and a quiche option The sweets are multiple as well, but after you eat the savory food, you may not have room for the sweets. There was no live music, that would have been nice!
The time between tea arriving, and the tower of food was too long ( over one hour). You are provided a cherry scone while you are waiting for your tower. By the time the tower arrived, I was full on tea, the timing should be better.
The waiter in my section ,should have been more attentive, at the price of the high tea $ 55, up from $ 45 and without champagne, service should be impeccable. He told the story of High tea to the table next to mine, never to my table, and he did not serve the table when I arrived( my guest was already seated), I had to ask the hostess to send a waiter to the table.
I was a bit disappointed with this visit, having had previously great experiences at Astor Court
This is one of the nicest hotels in the city, but it didn’t feel like it on New year’s day. It was a small buffet with few choices. The best part was the cocktails and house special Bloody Mary. The omelette Bar was very good but everything else was so so. No bagels for the lox. Only crackers. No bread, really. Not enough servers.
We were looking for a bfast place where our family could relax and catch up with a special family friend. Astor Court provided the perfect atmosphere for our gathering—opportunity for conversation, unrushed and relaxing time. We made a res on Open Table and arrived 2 min ahead but the hostess was obviously unprepared for our party of 8. Our well traveled adult children were quite surprised at the level of serivce and appt for this level hotel. The food was very good (4) spinach was in omelette when requested no spinach but stuff happens; and food is was delivered together with serviers reaching inf fromt of and across our party. No one offered to take our coats so they were bunched up around us. Not a horrible thing but for this level hotel we all agree that the serivce from front door to table was noticeably less than polished.
Astor was fine. Your parking situation—a nightmare. One of my guests was charged $15 for parking for an event. Couldn’t get it back. Too many cars and people. Embarrassing to me since invited the two as my guests. Your Astor Court manager will
Most likely help me get the money back but I don’t have time to follow up
As usual the Astor Court at the St. Regis Atlanta did not disappoint. We came to celebrate my mother's birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make sure her day was recognized. The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. But really, we just came for the experience which was wonderful. We had such a fantastic time and have already made plans to return for Mom's next birthday!
Beautiful room. Excellent cuisine. Very disappointing service. My wife and I booked for brunch on a Saturday. We received a very nice welcome to a beautiful room. The food was outstanding, but the service was terrible. We had to catch a server and request everything. This started with a spoon for coffee, then repeatedly for more water and coffee. Our empty suite and low wrappers were never removed.
We took my goddaughter for afternoon tea for her 5th birthday. It was absolutely wonderful! Great selection of finger sandwiches and sweets, as well as teas. The service was outstanding, and the chef accommodated both gluten free and vegetarian guests in our party.
While in the Atlanta area visiting my sister, she and I decided to stop for afternoon tea after having spent the day touring some of the city. We were delighted by Daniel's professional service and warm demeanor. The tea was perfectly steeped, the sandwiches carefully trimmed of their crusts creating a perfectly formed lady-like tea snack and the desserts divine. The entire staff at Astor Court was professional, welcoming and gracious. We will be back in the not too distant future.
First visit for Afternoon Tea. The service was excellent, and the food was very good to excellent (my wife was less impressed with some of the sandwiches for the money). We've only had afternoon tea a few times, but for the price, I thought it was quite nice (not as expensive as some others, but also not quite as nice). Compared to some others, the only suggestions I'd have is to provide a small dish to remove the tea at the appropriate time (it is served in ceramic pots, so by your 2nd or 3rd cup the tea has been steeping for a very long time; in other experiences we've seen them either bring the tea when it has been steeped appropriately and then pour for your, remove the tea but leave it in case you want to put it back in for a bit). The servers were all excellent. It really is enough food to count as a meal, and a very nice way to spend a couple of hours! We'll be back!
I brought my 10-year old daughter for high tea. I am a high tea lover and I have to say Astor Court was a little disappointing. While the atmosphere is beautiful, the quality of the food and service left a lot to be desired - especially at $40 per guest for tea service (and add'l $ for champagne). We were greeted warmly, and were promised that our server would provide a little speech on the background of high tea. This never happened. Instead we had a server who seemed preoccupied and was on the sidelines in an argument with another server. But we made the best of it as he was polite enough and I didn't want to ruin the date with my daughter. The scones were delicious but then the tower of tea sandwiches and cakes arrived and they were either soggy (smoked salmon ) or stale (bread on the sandwiches had formed a stale outer layer). The fillings were room temperature (chicken salad??? yuck) and the desserts were ho-hum. The caramel "candy bar" was tough to chew and the lemon layer cake was covered in a jello-like frosting that was not appealing at room temperature. I expected more from the St. Regis. I've had far better at far smaller and less expensive tea rooms. We are in fact bringing my mom back for her birthday (her request) and I hope they can up their game. It's just disappointing to plan a special occasion, spend extra on a venue such as the St. Regis, and then have sub-par food or service. Not up to luxury standards.
Every detail was attended to from the moment I called. I was hoping this would be the case but it surpassed my greatest expectations. My only disappointment is that I failed in writing my review sooner. The Astor Court staff made me proud to have chosen their establishment for my little event.
Had afternoon tea on a Sunday Afternoon. You might think you won't get full from just an afternoon tea, but I assure you it is PLENTY of food! We brought our 3 and 6 year old and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly to both us and our kids. Absolutely no sense of "oh great, kids" at all which we have gotten before at tea. We had four different teas and all four were stellar. Reservations were easy (of course) through opentable and they were ready for us as soon as we walked up. The pricing for tea is a little high compared to other teas in the area, but you're paying for the St. Regis ambiance so it makes sense. Overall I'd recommend this for a special occasion or reward or celebration of some sort. We will definitely return!
AMAZING!!! Everything was amazing from the valet attendants to the greeting in Astor Court. We had a 4-generation afternoon tea with a 3 year old, myself, my mom and my grandmother. Janay was our amazing server and she along with the entire staff, were incredibly attentive and gave us the most amazing experience that none of us will ever forget!!! Truly Once-in-a-lifetime!!! Thank you!!!
Bill was incorrect, they added multiple items we did not order. Service was extremely slow and often times, items had to be repeated in order to receive them. Over priced for regular tasting food. As a first timer, will not return, was not impressed and service goes a long way. I'd rather go to Ihop or elsewhere. Definitely not a good experience at all.
It was our second year coming to Astor Court for Mother's Day. It was lovely last year so we decided to come again. The food and tea were delicious but I missed seeing the Ducchess of Bedford tea blend on the menu, I hope they bring it back. The only drawback to the experience was that it, since it was the Saturday before Mother's Day, the restaurant was pretty full. Service was kind of slow, and unlike last year when we had our personal teas at the table, this time we had to hail the server whenever we wanted more which took a while. There were also a lot of children in the restaurant, and I don't blame the children for being children, but I assume that people coming to the afternoon tea enjoy some peace and quiet with their drinks so they could try having a separate area to reduce the noise in the dining room.
The restaurant is amazing. Service is impeccable. Food was perfect! Please note for booking that high tea is not available until 2:30. We went for high tea and ended up having brunch which was delicious....but we went especially for tea and would have booked later had we known. Thank you!
