This is our second visit within the past 6 months to Astor Court for breakfast. Our breakfast consisted of the Belgium Waffle and the Banana Bread French Toast. Both dishes were delicious and both contained fresh berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries). The Banana Bread French toast also had slices of caramel brulee'd banana. Milk was nice and cold, coffee good and strong with real cream and a variety of sweeteners including white and brown sugar cubes. The Banana Bread French Toast did not contain nuts (which I'm sure that's to prevent allergic reactions in some). The ambiance is magnificent; it's is an open, airy space on the 4th floor of the St. Regis Hotel which puts you at eye level with the most massive crystal chandelier. You can access the the restaurant from the hotel elevators or you can walk up the glamorous staircase. The service is exceptional; with attention to detail! Lovely place for a nice, relaxing breakfast!
Birthday breakfast was special because of the service here. We loved every moment plus the birthday treat from Astor Court.
Everything was outstanding until the end of our dining when the hotel allowed someone to use power tools to repair the floor next to the hostess stand. It was exceptionally noisy and very annoying. It unfortunately put a damper on an otherwise great dining experience !!
Three generations tea celebration was wonder. They accommodated our vegetarian diner and had plenty of delicious tea choices. All three of us tried something different and all were great! Food sizes were perfect, plenty of variety. Some of the savory sandwiches were a bit disappointing. Service was good, but for the price I did expect a little more attention to detail. Overall great experience and would love to try is again.
exceeded my expectations.
The service was very good -not intrusive . The server was helped us in tea selection- she was very helpful.
Three of my friends and I attended for afternoon tea. It was perfect. Quiet yet not stuffy. Great food and a good assortment of teas to choose from. We had a lovely afternoon.
We gave my niece a wonderful tea party experience for Christmas. Astor Court was the perfect place to host this lovely girls day with her mom and aunties!!
English tea lovers, this is a marvelous experience! The environment is elegant, the food delightful, the service professional. They were even able to accommodate my lactose intolerance by making all my food dairy-free!
We were looking for a "traditional" English afternoon tea, this is not it! The scones are hard and crumbly, no clotted cream and honestly the finger sandwiches were not prepared properly. When you service the smoked salmon on a roll its too much bread. I did not like the dessert options either.
Exceptional food and service. I will definitely be back. The location is wonderful as well. Our server was Jewel and he was very friendly and attentive.
While we did have a reservation, we arrived early and asked for a table with a view. The hostess told us no, as there were only three of us. She then sat us by a hallway into the serving area. Those tables by the window sat empty for an hour and then a party of two was seated.
When the tea service was served, the food, while so beautiful, was so stale that you could have broken a window with the bread. The tea was allowed to go cold and the sparkling water I requested was only served after three requests at the end of the meal.
When we got the meal, the charge for champagne was more than the menu.
When you pay for luxury, you expect exemplary service. This was $100/each that was spent being made to feel like we weren’t welcome. It’s a shame.
Take your hard earned money somewhere else.
Excellent service, upscale environment. Food was below average.
My 40th Bday
There appeared to be several staff but service was slow. My first cup of coffee was cold, however after I informed my server he made a fresh pot. After waiting a while for food, my breakfast arrived. Not impressed at all. My potatoes were warm at best, pancakes were good, bacon ok, eggs good. I will not return for breakfast.
The service was excellent where our server , took time to give us the history of high tea, went through the tea choices and was so pleasant and friendly. She was attentive to our service without making us feel rushed. The other staff was equally attentive. The food served was presented beautifully and I found everything tasty. For small bites, there was more than enough and we could not finish everything on our tray. The dining area was tastefully appointed, and we were fortunate to have someone playing the grand piano on the far side of the room so it was just the right amount of lovely background music to compliment the elegance of the St. Regis.
It was such a plush and exquisite breakfast and we enjoyed it very much ! The waiters are super attentive and menu simple but more than enough for a delicious breakfast . The staff was very kind and treated us to macarons for the birthday celebration we had. We will definately be back !
Absolutely Amazing! Our waitress was wonderful and patient. Thank you!
The service has lost the St. Regis quality. Fine for an afternoon get together, but no longer a special occasion place.
Savories were not as good as in the past. You are paying for location not the food.
Small portions, flavor was okay. Overall, not worth $120 for breakfast for 2 adults and a child with no drinks outside of orange juice, coffee and water that left us leaving still hungry as we walked out.
This is the only true Tea spot left in Atlanta. I am happy to report that this last holdout is very good! We took a friend for her birthday and were able to enjoy the new fall menu - which honors Downton Abbey in time for the premiere of the new movie. Mr. Barrow's Deviled Egg salad on mini-croissant was my favorite of the delicious savory offerings - though my friend liked Mr. Carson's ham and cheese, with aged cheese, best. Honestly, they were all really good. All 3 of us agreed that the Sweet containing caramelized banana was truly outstanding, but I personally loved Lady Sybil's Ginger cookie. I choose the Georgia Peach black tea and the selection of teas was good (Black, Green and Oolong offerings). Each of us received individual pots of the tea we chose. The pots coordinate with the Astor Court decor - but I would have loved seeing a more traditional, fine china tea pot. That is probably not practical in a restaurant setting, though. Our server, Karla and her assistant were wonderful and the service was very smooth and friendly. Almost forgot to mention the delicious scones served with all the extras! All-on-all, this was a delightful experience and we look forward to returning soon! It would be wonderful if Astor Court would add a week day afternoon, or even Sunday Afternoon. This is currently a Saturday only treat. I am also very happy to be able to book the Astor Court Tea on Open Table now - it was difficult to do in the past.
Such a lovely place. Great for one on one meetings and breakfast.
Met friends for afternoon tea. Great tea variety . Food was not that great. Bread was stale and dessert was horrible. I will return to the hotel on Peachtree , they service the best afternoon tea
I notified Astor Court in writing that I am pregnant at the time of my reservation. I confirmed with the host at the time I checked in, and also confirmed with our server as soon as I sat down that they were aware of my dietary restriction. Nevertheless, I was served pineapple that was soaked in alcohol as a topping for one of the desserts. This turned what was supposed to be a fun, celebratory afternoon into one of panic and disappointment. After that bite, I couldn’t bring myself to eat anything else on our tower. Our server said, “I’m sorry” and walked away. I’m very displeased with the lack of adherence to noted and confirmed dietary restrictions and the lack of a sincere apology from our server. Astor Court van and should do better.
Service was exceptional and the food was delicious
light and exquisitely displayed. I would definitely dine here again.
I love tea, but only get one choice among all the teas. I thought it would be a tea taste.
I brought my 8yr old daughter for a fancy ladies outing and we loved it! We had coffee, tea, and the chef's bakery basket. They validate for the hotel valet parking, but not the self pay lot. No worries...live and learn and now we know for our next visit which will be soon. Lovely time!
Giving an excellent review because the manager saved the day with the wrong tea service time. He was also very accommodating and cordial. However, the servers were a little slow. They stood around chatting but did not refill water, hot tea, etc. Also, we waited a lengthy amount of time to get check and pay for meal. Just wanted to mention these areas of concern as room for improvement may be a consideration in those areas.
Great experience! Very elegant establishment and the service is spectacular.
Astor Court is one of the few places left in Atlanta for afternoon tea. Great ambiance and service! I little noisy in the atrium due to a large wedding party and people checking into and out of the hotel in the lobby. Overall a great experience.
Excellent afternoon tea with good service.
I took my father here for a Father's Day/Birthday afternoon tea. The hotel was clean, the staff was nice, the surroundings in the dining area were beautiful, and the tea and food were delicious. The noise level was moderate, it was quiet and relaxing but loud enough to not feel self-conscious of your own noise level. Parking is not free but accessible.
We went for Afternoon Tea for my Daughter in laws bday. We also had a 19 month old daughter/granddaughter with us! They treated us very nicely especially with a little one! The tea was lovely, the food delicious and the ambience nice! It’s quite pricey but for a special occasion, worth it!
Ash was great!!
At first it took a while to get served. But after we brought it to the managers attention everything turned out lovely. Beautiful ambience, great presentation. Juan the manager was magnefcient
I would absolutely recommend Astor Court afternoon tea. I took my 12 year old Goddaughter for her birthday. She is the 7th daughter in a family of 7 daughters. So, buying her clothes or girl stuff is bordering on impossible. So, we make memories instead of buying more stuff. Astor Court
Tea was perfect for both us. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the service wonderful and the experience just lovely. One thing, I am Irish and a veteran Afternoon Tea person, I would advise a prettier Tea Pot, it was very utilitarian for the event, It really should be a china tea-pot and they should be a little more active in pouring Tea! Otherwise, we both decided that this would be an annual thing for us to celebrate her birthday!
Great breakfast. Service a little slow. But always very friendly and accommodating.
I have been to many afternoon tea place. The environment in Astor Court is very nice. Tea and scone are very good. I was a little disappointed at the savorys, sandwiches are ok, but other small sweets does not teste very fresh. The flavor of a cinnamon, ginger, chai mini dount taste way too strong that kills all other taste experience.
Our experience at Astor Court wasn’t fabulous. Our server very briefly went over the teas, rushed us to pick one, brought the food, and was never seen again. We had to waive down two other servers to get to-go boxes and the check. We had very high expectations of the service, and none of those expectations were met. Pretty disappointed. The food and tea were delicious, that’s the only saving grace.
