The service was awkward. Our waitress made multiple mistakes, however, the manager on duty helped to fix them. Unfortunately this made for the most awkward luncheon experience. The food was mediocre. I mean...it’s the St Regis! I expect the food to be unique and delicious only to discover it was anything but spectacular. Our biggest complaint: You are only allowed to order one type of tea for your entire meal. If I am paying $65 per person, I should at least get to sample multiple teas. In addition, their pricing for the meal and valet parking did not match what was listed on their website. I like to be prepared and know what to expect when trying to a new restaurant. To sum up the overall experience in 3 words: awkward, overpriced, and disappointing.
Great birthday experience for a friend during COVID. Tea and snacks were great, but a overpriced for $65 a person.
Great definitely recommend
It was everything the website stated. I would do it again.
Server couldn't speak English, order was prepared incorrectly so it took twice as long to get served, the food wasn't that great and it just took forever to get in and get out. Totally not worth the money or the time wasted.
We had breakfast and did the high tea. The food was wonderful and the staff were outstanding
Disappointed. I’ve been to high tea at lots of other places, and you can’t have as many teapots as you want so it’s fun to try lots of things. I was surprised that’s not the case here especially for $65 a person. The glass of champagne was $20 more. The food was surprisingly bad as well. Clearly made hours before we ate so the bread of the sandwiches was stale and dry on top very soggy and gross on the. The cucumber sandwich was especially not good, like the cucumber had been frozen and cut a long time ago so it was a mushy mess. The Turkey and ham were just deli meats nothing unique or elegant about them. For two people with one glass of champagne and tip came out to almost $200, which the quality of the food just wasn’t there to support thatNo ambiance to make up for it either, no music, just awkwardly quiet. For $200 you can do better then warm custard, deli meats and one pot of tea.
Time with my sister is always a special occasion! Service, ambiance and meal was amazing!
Terrible host staff.
Food was excellent in an upscale and elegant dining area. Highly recommend for a relaxed and alluring setting for a meal.
Excellent experience! A little over priced for what you get, but you are paying for the experience. Prosecco should be included based on the price point. I would highly recommend if celebrating a special occasion and you want to do something different than a typical restaurant!
Definitely making another reservation to dine here when I come back to Atlanta:) staff is so attentive.
I booked a reservation for tea for a Mother/Daughter Date for Valentines and my birthday. Tea is listed on Fri-Sun from 1-3:30. Someone called to confirm my reservation. I called back after I realized she said lunch, I wanted to make sure it was for tea as we were driving an hour from Covington. The recording when I was transferred to the Astor reservation line stated, that tea was on Fri-Sun from 1-3:30. When we walked into Astor, we were told that tea was only on Sat and Sun, but they were serving lunch. Two ladies that walked in prior to us also thought they had reservations for tea. I explained about the reservation site and the recording so hopefully it can be changed. It was really disappointing driving over an hour for nothing. The staff was very pleasant. We had lobster salad and for dessert the apple tart, which was good.
Hard to find a brunch place with reservations free during the week but I’m so glad I found this place. Food was excellent, ambience was great and the service impeccable. We’ll be back!!
I was kind of surprised for the price and the reputation that the service and the food wasn’t better. My water glass sat empty several times, the bread on the little sandwiches was dry and stale and desserts just weren’t anything special. We also had a plate full of food that our waitress cleared and threw away when we were not finished. Will not go back until things get better.
Overpriced - terrible Hi tea items. Poor service, sandwiches had ham even though it was previously requested not to have any ham products.
The best place to have High Tea, Brunch and Lunch!
Astor Court is upstairs at the St. Regis in the area encircling the glass wall looking down into the lobby. Consequently it is very open and light from two large glass windows at either end and has a nice fireplace going in both places, as well. There is ample room to distance guests. The lobster salad was probably the best I have ever had, fresh and light yet very filling. The accompanying bread, sides of dressing and butter with the atmosphere made it a great value. The waitress could have visited a little more frequently after receiving our meal. Overall a delightful meal and setting and I very much look forward to their afternoon tea.
My wife and I dined at St. Regis Astor Court for afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday. Everything from the ambiance to the service and including the tea and food was spot on.
It was a wonderful experience.
Valet crew was so courteous. My wife and I left our cell phones in our car so I went out to ask if they could get them for me. The person who parked my car was coming in to find me with phones in hand. Wow!
If you enjoy a nice breakfast with good ambiance then this is the place to go. Instead of drinking coffee, I went ahead and got three glasses of mimosas. The best mimosas I had thus far because everything is fresh here. I order a spinach omelette with bacon if I remember correctly....The omelette was so detailed and every small distinct flavors was capture by my mouth. It was a damn good omelette. The music and the chandelier just made everything wonderful and relaxing. I felt like time has suddenly stop on me! My server was modest, humble, but yet attentive made the experience more relaxing. This is a nice establishment to stay in and eat breakfast at if you enjoy all the nice things in life! Whoever is the general manager is doing a good job at training their employees. Overall, I think I will be back at this establishment whenever I am in Atlanta again!
Service was impeccable!
Astor Court definitely needs a refresher is quality and service. I ordered the St. Regis Omelet and it was served with cold hash browns. I mean COLD! That bacon in the omelette was overcooked also. My server was very inattentive. I had to constantly ask for things like refills and sugar for my coffee. I have dined here several times but this was pretty bad. Also when I sent my food back because of the temperature, not one person came to ask me if I needed anything while I wait. No manger in sight. That’s terrible service!
Great for my sisters 50th :)
We truly enjoyed our afternoon tea. Even my daughter’s doll was accounted for in the accommodations. Highly recommend.
This is our second visit within the past 6 months to Astor Court for breakfast. Our breakfast consisted of the Belgium Waffle and the Banana Bread French Toast. Both dishes were delicious and both contained fresh berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries). The Banana Bread French toast also had slices of caramel brulee'd banana. Milk was nice and cold, coffee good and strong with real cream and a variety of sweeteners including white and brown sugar cubes. The Banana Bread French Toast did not contain nuts (which I'm sure that's to prevent allergic reactions in some). The ambiance is magnificent; it's is an open, airy space on the 4th floor of the St. Regis Hotel which puts you at eye level with the most massive crystal chandelier. You can access the the restaurant from the hotel elevators or you can walk up the glamorous staircase. The service is exceptional; with attention to detail! Lovely place for a nice, relaxing breakfast!
Birthday breakfast was special because of the service here. We loved every moment plus the birthday treat from Astor Court.
Everything was outstanding until the end of our dining when the hotel allowed someone to use power tools to repair the floor next to the hostess stand. It was exceptionally noisy and very annoying. It unfortunately put a damper on an otherwise great dining experience !!
Afternoon tea
Three generations tea celebration was wonder. They accommodated our vegetarian diner and had plenty of delicious tea choices. All three of us tried something different and all were great! Food sizes were perfect, plenty of variety. Some of the savory sandwiches were a bit disappointing. Service was good, but for the price I did expect a little more attention to detail. Overall great experience and would love to try is again.
exceeded my expectations.
The service was very good -not intrusive . The server was helped us in tea selection- she was very helpful.
Three of my friends and I attended for afternoon tea. It was perfect. Quiet yet not stuffy. Great food and a good assortment of teas to choose from. We had a lovely afternoon.
We gave my niece a wonderful tea party experience for Christmas. Astor Court was the perfect place to host this lovely girls day with her mom and aunties!!
English tea lovers, this is a marvelous experience! The environment is elegant, the food delightful, the service professional. They were even able to accommodate my lactose intolerance by making all my food dairy-free!
We were looking for a "traditional" English afternoon tea, this is not it! The scones are hard and crumbly, no clotted cream and honestly the finger sandwiches were not prepared properly. When you service the smoked salmon on a roll its too much bread. I did not like the dessert options either.
Exceptional food and service. I will definitely be back. The location is wonderful as well. Our server was Jewel and he was very friendly and attentive.
While we did have a reservation, we arrived early and asked for a table with a view. The hostess told us no, as there were only three of us. She then sat us by a hallway into the serving area. Those tables by the window sat empty for an hour and then a party of two was seated.
When the tea service was served, the food, while so beautiful, was so stale that you could have broken a window with the bread. The tea was allowed to go cold and the sparkling water I requested was only served after three requests at the end of the meal.
When we got the meal, the charge for champagne was more than the menu.
When you pay for luxury, you expect exemplary service. This was $100/each that was spent being made to feel like we weren’t welcome. It’s a shame.
Take your hard earned money somewhere else.
Excellent service, upscale environment. Food was below average.
My 40th Bday
There appeared to be several staff but service was slow. My first cup of coffee was cold, however after I informed my server he made a fresh pot. After waiting a while for food, my breakfast arrived. Not impressed at all. My potatoes were warm at best, pancakes were good, bacon ok, eggs good. I will not return for breakfast.
The service was excellent where our server , took time to give us the history of high tea, went through the tea choices and was so pleasant and friendly. She was attentive to our service without making us feel rushed. The other staff was equally attentive. The food served was presented beautifully and I found everything tasty. For small bites, there was more than enough and we could not finish everything on our tray. The dining area was tastefully appointed, and we were fortunate to have someone playing the grand piano on the far side of the room so it was just the right amount of lovely background music to compliment the elegance of the St. Regis.
