The waiter lacked empathy and did not know how to serve clients. Enough with the "I'm going to order the same dish later" comment. I did not spend 4 hours on a plane to hear that. He would be fired in my company in a New York City minute.
Always great food and service. The wait staff and owner treat us like VIPs
Wonderful food and great service. One of our go to places for lunch.
The wait staff were terrible and we got front row seats to them fighting behind the bar. One server told us what the specials were and then another came by our table and we told him the gentleman before him had told us about the special and I kid not he says "What is the special then?" Seriously? The service was very very slow and the food was only ok.
Terrible service - 15 minutes just to get someone over to order a drink?? Wife ordered a hot tea and they brought a dirty cup saying it was only coffee stains - really?
Never stopped by to ask if we wanted another drink - had to flag another assistant down for bread with the antipasti which by the way didn't have any cheese on it. Yet after the meal we had 3 different people asking if we wanted dessert - with the noise in the room we just wanted to leave as fast as possible.
We've had better experiences here before. This evenings experience though will make us question if we'd really want to chance it again versus other restaurants in the area. the service was just terrible!
We came for a nice anniversary dinner, and will never be back. Small portions for a 75 dollar bill with two people. The wait staff was ATROCIOUS. Nearly 20 minutes to order drinks, food came out rather quickly, and was decent but bland. When we had finished, one of the four waiters apparently taking care of our table quickly boxed up our food and asked us if we wanted dessert. AFTER we got back our food and declined dessert, we had a horribly unpleasant 45 MINUTE WAIT to get our check. Another waiter asked us if we wanted dessert again (zero communication). Another 10 minutes to run it, then left my credit card in the back and i had to track down the hostess to get it back. For the type of establishment they are trying to come across as, their waitstaff couldn't have been more frantic and disorganized. Maybe our "small" bill pushed us aside in favor of the larger tables, but it was ridiculous. Im usually in favor of giving a place a second chance, and chalking it up to a hectic night, but not after that. Go to Olive Garden, the food tastes better, more for your money, and better service. You also wont be 6 inches from the table next to you. Absolutely do not recommend.
We had a great dinner here. The food was delicious, the wine list was extensive, and atmosphere was very pleasant. We will definitely be back for another night out.
Found this place while searching for a participant in Dining Out for Life near my Aunt in Arvada.
VERY happy to have picked this over one of the chain restaurants also participating. Food was very good. Service very proper but entertaining and friendly in a pleasant setting. Our experience also enhanced having the place to ourselves since the reservation server erroneously blocked my original 12:15 request for 2 hours, checked afterward to verify and those times were available but everyone's schedule was already set.
David was a wonderful server. Charles always greets each table and remembers his customers, it had been months since we had been in. A fabulous restaurant all around.
Food was delicious, service great.....location worked for us.
This was my third time going here, and I was very happy with the outcome. I got the duck salad and it was incredibly good. There was a little mix-up in the kitchen with someones meal being given to me, and mine to them, but the staff quickly realized the mistake and both our tables got the free meal to take home and try, along with our actual meal to eat at the restaurant. I would highly recommend this place for a first date because it's not too costly and the food is amazing. Plus there's a movie theater a minute away if you're going for the classic dinner and a movie.
All around good experience will be back, would like to see Asti be a little more generous on food amounts
Love the food here. Many items on the menu that I like...which is not common for me. Never disappointed! Also, they make a great lemon drop martini! :)
Formal for North of Denver without being pretentious.
Disappointed after having a good experience here before. Food was barely acceptable on my plate and my wife was not happy with hers, either. I was expecting better for we spent and given a good time before.
I didn't actually lick the plate but I would have if I was at home. AMAZING duck salad entree! This was for Easter brunch and it was elegant, friendly for my 2 girls 8 and 5 and they discovered they loved the butternut (and apple?) soup. Delicious food, wonderful, friendly and helpful service. I will definitely return!!
Super atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Teriffic food and wine. David and Charlie are welcoming and helpful.
My girlfriend and I both had the Buffalo Lasagna. We both liked it and will go back. It is the best lasagna I have ever had. Lots of cheese, bachamel, garlicky tomato sauce, it was wonderful. Don't let the buffalo put you off if you haven't had it. It was like a mild beef flavor.
Service was awesome also. They warned us the lasagna takes about 25 minutes, but it's worth it. We whole heartedly agree.
Oh, there were five other tables nearby and we didn't even notice they were there.
This past Sunday was our first experience dining at Asti D' Italia and the entire family loved the dining experience and environment. Our teen daughters loved the food so much that they have already made reservation for Spring prom. We will certainly dine here again ! :)
We can always count on Asti for good food. The beat salad is delicious and the risotto special is always good but the service is inconsistent at best. I watched the table behind us get great service - wine service, checked back to see how the food was, etc. while we couldn't get anyone's attention to even bring us salt and no one checked to see if the meals were ignoring we had everything we needed. We waited forever to order our main course and then dessert, ran out of water, drinks were wrong, server didn't write down our order and forgot our salad.... just overall below par service for the price of the restaurant.
Food was great, very high quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. Ambience was serene and lovely. A bit expensive, but great for a special occasion.
Overall mediocre experience. This restaurant has really gone downhill in the last year.
I was excited to try this restaurant since it is near to my house. I love Italian food and the menu looked good. My husband ordered soup and a chicken Cesar salad. His soup was good but his salad was very disappointing. It looked and tasted like a salad you could buy at the grocery store in the pre-made salad section. Even more disappointing was my meal. I ordered the house specialty risotto. This evening it was a grilled chicken, squash and mushroom risotto in a white wine reduction. I have had many risottos and feel like I have a good palette when it comes to discerning food. The grilled chicken tasted like the grill had not been cleaned. All I could taste was the black char of the grill. The risotto had no flavor at all. This was possibly one of the worst risotto dishes I have ever ordered and to top it off it cost $27. My husband typically finishes my dinner for me. He took one bit and did not want anymore. I wish I had a better review. I really wanted to like this place and have a cute little Italian restaurant near me, but I cannot recommend this place.
We've eaten at Asti several times. The food is always very good. The servers are cordial, but we've frequently been disappointed in how long it takes to be attended to after being seated, as well as the wait after placing our order. Also, the chair seats are uncomfortably firm.
It was Valentines and we were stuffed into a corner by the bar. Was noisy and we never even got napkins, and barely got silverware to eat - had to ask for it.
We've eaten at Asti many times and have never been disappointed with food or service. However, the Seafood Ravioli dish was not up to their standards. It wasn't ravioli at all, and although the seafood was plentiful, it's something I could have made at home just as well.
The restaurant has a decent looking exterior, but when it comes to fine dining, it all has to do with the inside. The decorations set the ambiance level with the candle light and the professionalism of the staff topping it off. The service was swift and the food was quick and delicious as well. Overall the experience was very welcome and my girlfriend and I appreciate the service that was given to us. This isn't the first time we've been here, and this won't be the last.
We had been told it was quite good as we received a gift certificate from 2 wedding guests. My husband had the risotto special made with a lobster sauce and it was like oatmeal. My meal of chicken and capellini was room temperature when it arrived, and was flavorless. My martini glass was chipped, however the lemon drop drink was tasty. Our server was very nice but was discombobulated because apparently the computer/register went down temporarily. My drink was comped and that was appreciated. Most likely will not return.
Overpriced, horrible service, and just not any better than a diner. The kitchen "forgot" our ticket, we waited an hour just to get our appetizers, and we practically had to follow our waiter around to get our check. the food wasn't "bad", it just wasn't worth $25 a plate. Lower than Olive Garden quality. don't do it.
Great every thing. Nice find in Orchard.
Quite disappointed. Group of 8, each of whom reached for seasoning and could not begin to season the food enough to bring it to an enjoyable place. The sausage looked and tasted like they got it at the local Walmart instead of being a house-made sausage. Pasta was dry and lacked flavor. The chicken parm was actually the best (except the pasta), compared to everything else we ordered. Garlic bread was awful! Do not waste your money. Tough, very dry bread. First time Yelp has ever let us down! The Orchards mall area must really be hurting for a good Italian restaurant.
sent a email that we were coming back again because the service and food was great. Also to let them know that we recommended the food to our friends who were joining us to celebrate her husbands birthday.
There was no recognition as to the email or my friends birthday. It was like we were never there before and no message was sent to the restaurant informing them of Frank's birthday.
Food was great but customer service was off.
Took 10 minutes for a server to notice me, then 15 minutes to get the bill at the end. Food wasn't anything special. Crab "cakes" were more like crab "bites".
Everything was great as always. The special risotto and the buffalo lasagna were the best.
I have been many times with my husband at Asti D' Italia. For the first time we brought our 10 and 11 year old kids. They loved it and they loved the food. We all loved desserts.
I ordered Chicken Orecchiette and the chicken tasted like if it was reheated from the previous day. My husband and son's Pasta Alfredo had both fresh grilled chicken. A very big difference!
My daughter liked her spaghetti meatballs.
Their polenta is wonderful!
I have tried many versions of their risottos and I always like them.
We have eaten here several times, and it is wonderful! The food is always fantastic, the service is always friendly and attentive. They also have a great wine list and dessert menu.
We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The service was very good and the food excellent. I had the Chicken Caprese and my husband had the Penne and Sausage. We were both very pleased. I also had the beet salad which was also very good. The ambience is very pleasant, somewhat romantic except for the fact that we were seated near the kitchen opening, which made it a little noisy but not bad. The place is small and more conducive to couples or small groups...not really the place for kids. I do think the menu is overpriced and it would be more reasonable to have the salad as part of the entree price. For desert we had the apple crisp which I definitely recommend. However, we also had chocolate martinis and they were not that good .... should have been made with a cream- based liquor. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This was the 3rd year we ate here for xmas dinner. The service was much slower than usual. We waited 30 minutes between appetizer and main meal. The salads were much smaller than in the past - for $9. The main meals were as expected with the exception of the special. Risotto w scallops and shrimp. My husband was horrified to see a tiny plate of risotto with ONE shimp and ONE scallop. For $38!! We will go back but never order a special again. Stick w the pasta dishes which are much larger for the money. Disappointing xmas eve dinner.
The food was good. Price was a about right for the fresh ingredients and portion size. Everything tasted made to order. Server was able to pair a delicious wine with both entrées. Smaller space feels cozy, but avoid a table by the door during the colder months. Definitely will return to try additional menu offerings.
We love coming and having a bottle of really nice wine with dinner. Just the two of us. Wait staff great, have had owner/manager? recommend wine and has always made an excellent choice. Would recommend to any one wanting a very nice dinner at reasonable expense.
