Food and service were both awesome!

A group of friends and I decided that we would celebrate my birthday at Assaggini di Roma. Using opentable, we made a reservation for seven, and requested a round table, a few days in advance. When 3 of us arrived at the restaurant, a few minutes before our 6:00 reservation, we were immediately seated even though not all of our party was there. Despite the restaurant being packed, the hostess and server made us feel welcome, and brought an ice bucket for the bottles we had brought with us. When our other friends arrived a few minutes later, we took our time perusing the menu, talking and drinking, and were never rushed. When the food was brought out, everything was piping hot and delicious. Our meals ranged from salmon to scallops to homemade sausage to eggplant, and not one of us was disappointed. By the time we left, there were at least a dozen people waiting outside of the restaurant, and now I understand why. I would a absolutely recommend Assaggini di Roma, and would also recommend making reservations in advance!

This was our second visit and food was very good as it was the first visit. It was very loud this time because we sat next to a large table but otherwise everything was great. They do not rush you out so you can sit and visit with friends as long as you want.

My wife and I along with another couple dined last Saturday. The food was excellent and plentiful. I shared a tomato and onion salad with my wife. . For the main course I had the salmon made with honey mustard and steamed vegetables. My wife had the veal parmigiana. Both dishes were excellent. For dessert all 4 of us shared a tartuofo made with gelato. Our friends had flounder and pork dishes which were excellent.

Our table was ready within 10 minutes of arriving. Our food was hot and delicious.

Food is consistently good. We always receive a friendly greeting and service.

Great restaurant. Service was excellent but the kitchen was a bit slow (Saturday night is to be expected). Pork chop was fab but the veggie lasagne was a bit too heavy on the cheese and vodka sauce- couldn't taste any veggies. Excellent cappuccino. Overall very good - I would return.

9/27/19... Terrible Rating is almost like being a compliment to How Terrible Rude the Owner/Hostess was !!!! We got there 15 minutes earlier then our reservation and after waiting a while to be greeted. We were finally greeted by her with an attitude, we told her we had a reservation. She rudely not only told us we were early but then had to Hold Her Phone Up To Us To Point It Out To Us !!! Who does that ???? We were not Late, we were Early and would not have had an issue waiting as to we were enjoying the entertainment in the very small entrance!!! But then to be Greeted in this Manner was So Insulting & Embarrassing!!! This was our Third time coming in a matter of weeks and were looking forward to making this restaurant one of our regular spots... We walked Out & Will Not Ever Return or Refer anyone there !!! She Needs a Lesson on How to Not Only Talk To People, but More Importantly How To Greet A Customer!!!!

Food was amazing. The staff is wonderful! Love finding hidden gems like this! The only thing I would do is turn the lights down. It’s a little bright. But overall had a wonderful time!!!

Food usually excellent, but this time I was disappointed in some over cooked and tasteless scallops. The rest of our meal, as well as the service, was excellent!

Never disappointed...this place is a gem. The food and service is always amazing. The caprice tower appetizer was yummy. The chicken mascarpone was delicious as well as the papardelle pesto pasta dish. The Italian cheesecake was okay but they have many other options for dessert as well.

The service was horrendous. There was 1 waitress for the entire restaurant.

We have eaten here many times, the food is always good, service is good, when we ate there this past Tuesday there was a birthday party going on and the noise level was unbearable. This group of women were so inconsiderate,they were loud beyond belief with no consideration of all the other diners. Parties of 8 or more should be held in a separate room. Overall, we like this resturant very much, and we love Dee.

Food was excellent, it was a hot day so the air conditioning was not cool enough , but everything else was great!

We finally got the opportunity to try Assaggini after driving by it for years. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our orders were taken quickly but we were not rushed. Food was superb and plentiful. We ordered a couple of seafood daily specials and one regular menu item of chicken francais and enjoyed every bite. Being a BYOB is another great feature. Highly recommended

The restaurant did remove her item from our bill and treated us to dessert as compensation.

And the restaurant was packed. So probably just different food tastes.

I love this restaurant. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful. We usually go when there is live entertainment and really enjoy the BYOB
