Aspens West Cobb Ratings and Reviews
Usually very good but on this night we had a new and very inexperienced server, he was very polite but messed up our order. We were there for a birthday dinner but our server brought me the check and never offered desert. We went elsewhere for birthday desert. We will be back and hope for the best.
First of all, our server Lindsey was awesome. She has been our server several times and we love her- so friendly and attentive! Once again, I want to communicate what was echoed by everyone in our group of 9 - the new salmon entree is not good. 100% of us miss the wonderful salmon with spaghetti squash that was served for years. The other thing is the bread. Serve one kind of decent bread with the fabulous spread that you used to have. It would make so many people happy! The non descript cornbread muffins do not go with your restaurant or your cuisine. We get wanting to update your menu but don’t get rid of things that are universally loved. It’s not just us- overheard others at surrounding tables talking about the bread.
We were impressed with the service (Ian) and management on down....we originally picked a window booth but were cold after we ordered. We were moved swiftly to a cozy booth... staff so pleasant on a busy night! The tenderloins were excellent, the martini just right. Thanks for a wonderful NYE!
We went to dinner on New Year's Eve and it was of course a little busier than normal. Our server was very friendly though was not knowledgeable about bar selections/wine list . I think the kitchen was busier than normal that night as our steaks came to the table already well into the cooling stage. My duo of tenderloin medallions had quite a bit of fat on them so I ended up leaving about 1/3 of the meat on my plate as inedible . My biggest concern was when I saw one of the water servers caring the pitcher by both the handle and the spout with his bare hands. I then wished that my family and I had not gotten those water refills. Obviously, some additional training is needed. We were waiting out in the lobby for a few moments while our last guest prepared to depart and I almost mentioned it to the manager… But none of the three or four employees at the front of the restaurant inquired as to how our meal was, etc. Thought I would save it for a review
This is one of our favorites for special occasions. We like the reservation procedures. Everything is done in an orderly fashion. The service and food are very good.
It's not noisy, and we can have a family conversation.
They are very accommodating about certain requests for sitting at certain tables.
The steaks here are fantastic and done to perfection. A special dessert was delivered to our grandson at our request for his 21st birthday celebration. The interior is tastefully decorated in a lodge type of ambiance. The establishment is located within a high end shopping area with plenty of free parking.
We will definitely return in the near future!
I was surprised by how expensive the food was. This feels like a neighborhood restaurant. Definitely not a special occasion or fine dining but the prices reflect a higher end restaurant than what it is. The food was fine but not the quality that would warrant these prices. There are not a lot of restaurants in the area but its worth a drive to find a fine dining restaurant to dine at.
Let me start out by saying we had a group of five and all of the food items ordered came prompt and were excellent. With that being said, our waiter dropped a full glass of white wine on my daughter in law by accident, of course. The glass was on a tray and went tumbling out onto the carpeted floor by shattered none the less. Our waiter was quite upset and apologized and cleaned up as best he could. Our daughter in law on the other hand, ended up eating her dinner with a soaked lap and wet left arm! We were subsequently comped an appetizer of our choice but no manager ever responded to our table! It was a very quiet night being the Thanksgiving weekend so unknown if one was even working. We have dined here in the past and the food has always been excellent. The service, not so much.
This place was so beautiful on the inside. I love the rustic feel of it. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly. Our server was Vanessa and she took very good care of us. I chose this place for my birthday when i saw baked oysters and creme brulee on the menu and it didnt disappoint. Will definitely be back!!
