Once again another wonderful dining experience! The food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal as our waiter slowed the meal to the proper pace so it created a wonderful atmosphere. First time diners to Aspens commented that the steaks were better than some of the nationally known streak restaurants in Atlanta. We should feel lucky to have such a great restaurant in East Cobb that negates having to drive into Atlanta for a great meal. It is nice being able to drive five minutes and not 30!
Steak was just average. Vegetables were overdone and burnt. Overpriced for what you get.
Aspens is the perfect place for dining with friends you have known for a lifetime or whom you see only yearly. The staff is very, very good and their friendliness is genuine--most probably because they like working there as much as we like dining there. It is quiet enough to carry on a conversation, which is always great. No one hurries you.
Food was good but prices way too high and everything a la carte. Who sells a steak by itself at a restaurant? Never heard of that before. Ordered a cheeseburger from the kids menu for my kids and it didn’t come with any cheese on it. When brought to waitresses attention she said she thought we ordered a hamburger from the adult menu for them?? Nice ambiance.
Excellent meal with great service. Even on a crowded holiday, they were efficient and attentive.
This was our first trip to the East Cobb Aspen’s, having dined several times at the West Cobb location. We were seated promptly and our server Lauren was just a delight to work with. She made sure our Mother’s Day supper was perfect. Food was great and nicely presented. The East Cobb location was more convenient for my sons to meet us at so I would not hesitate to come back to this location.
4 of us went for the early bird special. Everyone was pleased!!
Starter salads were very good, we tried the Caesar, wedge, and chopped salads. Crusty bread was delicious.
All of us ordered the Tenderloin medallions. All cooked to exact temperature preferences. Sides of creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts were also excellent. Saute mushrooms were good.
Warm brownie for dessert was also very good. Waiter was attentive and professional.Would definitely return.
We had a wonderful dinner! Our waitress, Thelma, was such a sweetheart and she made our experience comfortable and pleasurable. The food was amazing. The ribeye was cooked to a medium rare perfection and the soft shell crab special was delicious. Thank you Aspen for a perfect Birthday dinner.
always revived great service; staff very friendly, but not overly; great food
My son took his date there after a school dance and sat there fo 40 minutes before he had to go ask someone to wait on them. The girl helped them even though it was not her area and was very nice but the evening was already ruined. It is too bad that we can not trust that a special occasion would not be ruined again.
My party was very disappointed with the service on Saturday night. We were seated quickly by the nicest hostess, but not one waiter came to our table. After 20 minutes we stopped someone who said it wasn't his area but he would be happy to help us. No other waiter came to us. The food was just ok. My steak was more well done than medium. Drinks were sent back too. Not sure we will go back as we've noticed the service has gone done over the last year.
Really good all around experience here. Steak was cooked perfectly... good wine and drinks selection. Will definitely be back.
This has become a "go-to" place for me to take clients or celebrate truly special occasions. The service never disappoints, the food is always well prepared and diverse enough to suit every taste, and the wine list is very serviceable. Enjoyed a nice bottle Charles Krug with prime rib, while my son had a burger, my daughter had a Ceasar Salad with grilled chicken, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her seafood entrée. Sides also well prepared (grilled brussel sprouts, creamed corn with jalapenos, and a mac-n-cheese my daughter always gets). Everyone loved their food, and most had leftovers to bring home. Perfect place for us to celebrate my son's graduation from college!
Great date night spot! We enjoyed a lovely dinner and wonderful service. Can't wait to go back!
BEST SHRIMP AND GRITS IN ATLANTA
There is a great offer at Aspen from 5-6pm each night. An early bird special. The Early Bird menu features some of their best selections. The one I had was Shrimp an dGrits the depth of flavors and the sausage and shrimp made for a great meal and great bargain.
Always great service and wonderful food. The ambience is perfect. Our go-to for a special occasion.
Our server was very friendly, helpful, and funny! The food itself was great, if a bit salty, and our red velvet birthday cake was AMAZING! It was a bit pricey, but overall pretty much worth it! I’ll definitely come back for another special occasion!
Wonderful food, wasn’t crazy about our table location next to the service bar
The Lobster Bisque is possibly the best I have ever had.
For a party larger than 4 get a round table! Food and service were great!
The ambiance cannot be beat. The service is superb, you can tell they train their servers very, very well. Every steak I have had there has been cooked perfectly. This place is a gem.
Great place for date night or special occasion. Noise level was low even when it is a full house. Service was as good as any up scale steak house.
Prices have gone up but quantity and quality of food has gone down
Our server, Matt, was fantastic. The food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the charcuterie and the bisque.
We love Aspens
The food was very salty. The waitress was more interested in the big tables than our group of four. We waited about 40 minutes before we got our entrees. The 'free' piece of pie was SO thin it did not even qualify to be called a 'piece' but rather a sliver of pie. All and all no big complain but not a memorable experience.
The kale salad was amazing! I recommend herb butter or flavored dipping oil with bread. Filet and salmon cooked perfectly.
Excellent food, even better service, unbelievable ambience. We'll definitely be coming back. Cannot express how much we enjoyed our night out.
The food quality was not equivalent to the price
Matt was our server and as always did a very nice job for us. I was very happy to see the beef medallion back on the menu after quite some time. That could be my favorite entrée. The Joel Gott cab was also very good.My wife also told me she enjoyed the trout. We find Aspen’s a great escape from the day to day rush.
There were a couple of issues but they won't stop us from going back.
There is a step inside the restaurant that is really hard to see and my friend tripped but no one seemed to be that concerned.
We had to ask for water refills, and it took way too long to get our dessert.
But, it was a Monday night, and it may just have been an off night.
We had an excellent dining experience for our 29th anniversary!
Food and service was very good, but for $38 for a filet i would have thought a side of vegetables would come with the meal.
The food was the problem. My wife's shrimp dinner was fine, but I was very disappointed with the special dish that I chose.
It was to supposed to be a steak pot pie type of dish, with fingerling potatoes, peas, carrots, etc. The waiter's description that the dish was filled with beef filet was my decider in selecting the meal. However, the metal pot containing the dish was filled to the top with "stew" type meat that was stringy and fairly dry. Beyond the stew meat, there was almost a complete absence of potatoes and vegetables.
I did not complain to the waiter, but it should be noted that there was no manager type who came by to ask how our meals were. If such a person had asked, I would have responded as stated above.
We eat at Aspen (both East and West locations) about six to eight times a year, and almost always find everything done perfectly. But this time, it was a clear miss.
It was a good date
Come here to meet friends every month. Food, service and ambiance outstanding. Always sit in the bar area where there are large booths. Our server, Matt, is phenomenal. Efficient, knowledgeable and great sense of humor.
Great meal and great service. Matt took good care of us and made sure everything was perfect. My wife and I shared a shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, fillet and sides of corn and Brussel sprouts . Everything was cooked to perfection served at the right temp and scrumptious! Highly recommend if your looking for an affordable yet upscale meal.
The food was delicious. Our server Joe was absolutely amazing.
The food and service were excellent. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Aspens as we have for many years now. We know that we can depend on a very enjoyable and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this location if you are wanting a great dining experience.
