Aspen's was wonderful - the food was delicious, social distancing measures, masks, etc, all taking place. We would definitely recommend!
Love love loved it!! Food, service, ambiance were excellent!! Katie is awesome! Corvina was a great red select!
French onion was a little non traditional. Not bad just not the same. Peach cobbler lacked peaches and was overloaded with toppings
Wasn’t exactly the premium dining experience that I expected. Didn’t compare to others that we have been to.
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration. This was our first inside dining restaurant experience since March and it couldn’t have been nicer!
Excellent dinner the salmon was great!
well, why do you have to write 50 characters? I thought the meal was very good and service was good. Chef cooks it to the way we ordered it. The steak was good and Jalapeno Corn was a different and good side.
I had the prime rib and my wife had the trout. Both were excellent. My wife also tried the key lime pie, and said it was delicious, very creamy. We celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed a small dessert from the chef. A very nice evening.
This is a wonderful place to have a meal with friends. I especially like the round table for 6 near the bar. The only flub-up was the waitperson came up and said when we arrive, "I understand there is a surprise birthday here." It put a little damper on my surprise but everything else went great.
I really wanted to like this place. We visited on Father’s Day. They informed us that they were completely out of filet mignon. As a steakhouse, I found that strange. We ordered drinks which were good. Overall the food was just subpar. The shrimp and grits came with a ton of sauce and hardly any grits. The green beans were undercooked and the creamed spinach was watery. They brought out the wrong side dish so we had to wait for the correct one to arrive. It wasn’t the worst meal I have eaten, but for $200 I expected a little more. With all that being said, our waitress was incredible and very friendly. It had great potential but really fell short.
A steakhouse with no filets is unacceptable.
Both of our mash potatoes were cold. Server said I’m so sorry....that’s it.
Servers were young and unequipped to handle a high-end steakhouse clientele. Will definitely never return
This is usually my favorite place for a good steak, and I will continue to go, but my steak was very disappointing. I ordered a filet and although it was cooked right, it was a twisted, ropy shape with very little tenderness. If it happens again, I'll send it back. It's always been better than this.
Fathers Day Saturday Dinner
It is an intimate place to have dinner. We loved the service and social distancing policies that was in place.
It's certainly not what it used to be. Maybe it's the pandemic, maybe not. The good: service was outstanding. Matt was very attentive and always there to handle our special requests or answer questions. The bad: as to the food, one of my all-time favorite foods anywhere was the Gouda grits at Aspen's. I was soooo looking forward to them on our visit...but they've changed. They actually weren't Gouda at all, either cheddar or pimento. And honestly they weren't worth eating. All of the entrees themselves were good, not outstanding, but the sides were underwhelming on all fronts. When I asked our server Matt about them, he said they have a new chef that's been leading the kitchen for four months. I told him they needed to find the other person that they had. Given the price point, we probably won't be going back. It's too bad because this was one of our favorite 'special occasion' spots. Not anymore.
Overall a pleasant experience. A little pricey considering the portion size. Great ambiance and very well trained staff. Server Katie was extremely good.
Would come again if they reinstitute their early bird specials they had prior to COVID-19.
Aspens never let's me down. Another great dining experience!
We had wonderful service and a great experience for my mom birthday celebration
Their steaks are very tasty. Frequently I just order an appetizer to eat as it is just enough for me.
Aspen’s Signature Steakhouse was AMAZING! The restaurant is beautiful, the ambiance was wonderful, the service was great & the food was delicious. I do recommend Aspen’s if you’re looking for a nice evening Out.
Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great service and food as usual. It’s a great choice OTP.
Our anniversary—all the face masks ...ugh!
Great time celebrating 21st Birthday!! 🎂
Excellent server - FUN!
Food was Delish -
It was the most wonderful dinner!
We love the care and attention the staff has taken for customer safety during this time of COVID19, they even have hand sanitizer at the door and our table was already set with disposable menus.
I only give 3 stars for the food (however french fries are the best in town) because the menu has changed and the food did not taste as favorable as it has in the past.
Anyway overall we had a great time.
We have always loved Aspens, but it was an especially nice get away during post-quarantine! We felt completely safe, and enjoyed our food. Thank you!
The food and the people are always friendly. Highly recommend...
Wonderful time! Great food! The only thing we didn’t really enjoy was the apple cobbler. Everything else was delicious!
What a great dining experience. Go for the filet with crabmeat Oscar as a topping. Delicious!
Matt was fantastic! Food was delicious!
Great experience. Food and service were excellent. Matt was a great waiter.
Food was excellent as usual. Service was great. Glad to be able to dine at Aspens again.
Great to be back dining in. Food was great as always and restaurant was set up nicely according to guidelines. Love Aspens.
Meal was very subpar compared to previous meals at Aspens.
The food, like it always has been, was very good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere wasn't quite as good as before the pandemic because of having to block off and space tables to meet the new guidelines but it did make for a much quitter setting.
Our first dinner outing since the pandemic began was an excellent experience! Aspens did an outstanding job preparing their dining area for appropriate social distancing with the tables, the staff, the wait (in cars until our table was ready), the reservations. Lauren was our waitress, friendly and sweet and attentive. And the food - prime rib and petite steak - was wonderful in taste and preparation. The gouda grits were fair but the salad we shared for an appetizer was also tasty. I'd recommend Aspens for anyone celebrating a special occasion (it was our anniversary) or just ready to dine in fine fashion. We'll be back!
We love it at Aspens Food service and ambience are great
Apens has been our go-to place for special occasions since it opened, so when my wife's birthday coincided with our ability to escape the quarantine and get out, there really wasn't a lot of discussion on where we were going to go. A little eerie with the hostess meeting us with mask and gloves, but I get it -- err on the side of caution and let us know you're taking this thing seriously. Table was fine, with disposable menus and water waiting for us. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Started with a couple cocktails -- mine's easy, a nice single malt -- my wife is particular -- a Belvedere martini with blue-cheese stuffed olives. We explained that we wanted it shaken a lot so ice crystals were visible -- a weak attempt by the bartender, topped off by olives that seemed a bit bitter -- Oh well, wine's up next... Placed our orders -- Ribeye, Prime Rib, a wedge salad to split and a couple vegetables. Ribeye arrived overdone for my wife's liking, so it got sent back -- replacement was perfect. Next is where I learned my lesson -- if we ever choose to return, we won't let them know it is a special occasion, because the hokey "free" dessert was a piece of funfetti cake and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Tasted like a box mix one of my kids would have made 10 years ago. So I just spent $150 on food and drink and the taste that is left in my mouth is just nasty. Probably my only complaint of our server was that she didn't warn us ahead of time. I would have preferred to either forego dessert or order something I would have paid for rather than experiencing that. I really expect more from Aspens -- and an experience that will make me think twice before we visit again.
Our server (think her name was Ashley), was very personable. We were disappointed that the carrot cake changed...alot. they should tell you that before ordering. It's been turned into a dry, muffin like dessert...not very much sweetness to it. The original was very moist and much sweeter (that's why we ordered it...it was our splurge).
Outstanding food and service! Very clean and proper social distancing. Will definitely be back!
