Aspens Signature Steak Ratings and Reviews
My family and I were very disappointed. This was to be a special New Year's Eve Dinner. I was especially disappointed at how limited and pricey the menu was. One would expect that for steak dishes in the $27.00 - $30.00 range that basics such as a 'salad' would be included. To my dismay all of these items were 'a la carte'. I should have researched them a bit more and looked elsewhere.
We first ate here on our wedding night in November. We were excited to be able to have another fantastic meal on another special occasion, new years eve. The food was excellent and the waitress we had was superb. Our new favorite place to eat. I would highly recommend this fine place to my closest friends and I have. If you want to dress up a bit and feel a little class you should check them out. I cannot recall a more attentive wait staff.
This was our (My wife & Myself) second time visiting Aspen and my Parent's first time. The first time I went with my wife and Aspen could do no wrong! The service was excellent and the food was outstanding! Our second visit unfortunately was a different experience.
The most important aspect of a resaurant for me is cosistancy. This is where Aspen fell short. The Three Cheese & Bacon Mac (that my wife & I couldn't stop telling people about after the first visit) didn't even come close to our first visit. I honestly don't know if I would order it again. Our steaks were not cooked properly and the sides were cold.
I checked that I would recommend Aspen b/c of our 1st visit. Based on our 2nd visit, I can't say that I would.
Went to Aspens with my visiting parents. Most ordered filet mignon and they were cooked to perfection and good cuts. Some ordered the steak/lobster tail in which the lobster may not have been the same standard of the steak but was still tasty. Desserts ordered were very yummy and there were gluten free options!!!
My boys and I have spent the last 4 Christmas Eve's at Aspen. The food is always wonderful, the service is great and it has a lovely ambiance with it's large fireplace in the middle or you could choose a quite room in the back of the restaurant. We always bring home their superb desserts because we are always so full. Great place for any special date or just for an excellent meal.
We celebrated Christmas with some good friends and had a lovely evening. The service was A plus. Our food was very good. My husband and I both had the surf and turf and it was cooked to our liking. Our friends both had the grouper special and they were satisfied with their meals. I love the bread and garlic spread. Also, we had good desserts. The wine list is extensive. Our table could have been a little better, but the waiter was outstanding.
What's not to love about a casual restaurant that serves excellent food, with experienced wait staff who know the menu and provide attentive service? Maybe because it is Christmastime -- but the atmosphere was festive, noisy enough to be fun but not intrusive, and the food was just delicious. We'll be back!
This was our first time to eat at this particular Aspen Signature Restaurant, having eaten at the one in West Cobb Avenues Several times before. Our expectations were high, and we were not disappointed. I found the food, service and ambiance to be at the same level of excellence as their other restaurant. The dinner was very tasty, with the meat I had tender enough to be cut with my fork. I also had a salad with my entree and the greens were fresh and delicious. We had the chocolate Fudge with ice cream dessert, and were very tempted to lick the plate clean in order to get all of the chocolate and ice cream.
After a disappointing experience at the West Cobb location, I was somewhat reluctant to try this one, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Despite its being a busy night with several large groups to deal with, they worked with me to find a table that minimized my exposure to noise. (I am deaf and find it very hard to hear my dinner companion in a noisy environment.)
We had the butternut squash soup, the wedge salad with Gorgonzola, salmon, and trout. It was all excellent. I was particularly impressed that the several cherry tomato halves in the salad were actually ripe and flavorful.
What an amazing place! I don't know how we have lived nearby in Woodstock for two years and not heard of this place! The food was incredible and Mike, our waiter was very attentive. His wine recommendation was spot-on perfect for our occasion and we had a great time! We will definitely be back!! Recommendation: On weekends, eat on the early side to avoid the crowds. You will NOT be disappointed!
Having made a reservation a few days in advance (and having eaten there several times before), I was disappointed that they first wanted to seat us in a back room with several large parties. It was so noisy that we wouldn't have been able to hear each other speak--hardly romantic. I asked for a booth instead and ended up being seated across from the wait station. Again, hardly ideal with the loud conversations of the wait staff, but better than our first location. Valerie, our server, was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the food and the wine. For a steak house, they definitely still know how to properly prepare fresh seafood. As it was our anniversary, they even comped us a serving of taramisu, which was a nice surprise.
Wow! What a great experience, the setting, the food the ambiance if we lived near here, i know it would be our go to place!
Our server/sommelier Valerie was awesome! If you're into sweets the Aspen Smores fireside w/a Grand Marnier is the perfect romantic way to finish their great meals! The scallops are a must!
I have been to Aspens 8or 9 times and I always go back because the food and service is always good. They have had the same problem forever. On Saturday night they had 3 young hostesses who had lost control of the desk and were talking to each and none of the backed up customers. The front desk is always a trainwreck.
