Great food and service - Thelma was awesome!! - for a special night out.
She guided us through some menu choices (apps vs sides as apps) and was attentive all night.
Food was great. Pricing was on the higher side of what I would expect from this caliber restaurant.
Overall much better than the Sizzler steak house!
Steak special with mushroom sauce was: 1. A poor piece of meat! Kroger has better steaks day in and day out. Service was poor, slow, unattended for periods of time which is hard to believe being their was only 2 of us. Not again, Stony is far beyond this for a neighborhood steak house.
The food and service is siesta excellent. That’s why we dine at Aspen’s often.
Great atmosphere. Great value!
The food was great. We all had steaks of a variety of cuts and they were all cooked perfectly. The decor is warm and lovely. The waitress was very nice and helpful.
I found the resturant to be very loud; to the point it was hard to hear our party as well as the waitress. Also, I did not see it posted anywhere, but they do charge a $1.50 per person at the table for a cake cutting fee if you bring your own cake. I would have preferred to know that so I could have paid that fee for everyone at the table that were my guests instead of having them unexpectedly charged. The sides and salads will cost you extra if you have them. They are huge an sharable by 2-3 people. I felt it was high end/ fine dining, but the service does not live up to the same standards as the prices.
We've been coming here for years. Still love it, but the last few visits have disappointed. Service was painfully slow. Very friendly, but so, so slow. We were there for almost 3 hours! And the way they've crammed the 4 big 8-tops in the middle, it's way too close for comfort. My head was barely 2 feet away from the woman in the booth behind our round table. The servers were having to backtrack around one another to get to us single file, and one server sprinkled water down my left side as he refilled the glasses at the table behind me...there was no place else for him to stand! My husband's prime rib was cold, and the apple crisp was barely cooked...apples still crunchy, some cold. Other than that, the trout and salmon were good, as was the meatloaf. The brussels sprouts were perfect and the carrot cake did not disappoint! (would prefer pecans, however.) Love the early bird menu, but offering the early special didn't help them turn the table more in the night b/c the service was so slow.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Our seat was fine, but we were placed in a corner with little view of the ambiance. It was still nice and private so no huge issue here. The waiter was very professional and friendly. Bread was served warm prior to our meal. The steak was one of the best I've had in quite a while. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection (medium). We finished with carrot cake, which was very flavorful, but seemed like it had recently come from the fridge. The noise level was fine, though there was a loud group close to our table that was a bit distracting. All in all, a very positive experience so I'm sure we will return.
Overall we had a great dining experience. Our only suggestion is that the presentation of the food could be improved. It didn't seem like the presentation was up to the level of the quality of the food.
food is ok but over priced . We don't plan on going back
Food was great, but service was medioker as server did not engage in conversation nor was very knowledgeable in wine and menu selection
Filet Mignon was delicious.
We went for our girls holiday get together. The food was great. Steak was cooked perfectly. Shrimp and grits were amazing. Nice wine selection. Our waitress, Jan, was attentive. Only thing that was not perfect was dessert. The cinnamon apple cobbler was not warmed and was too much cinnamon. We sent it back.
This was our first visit to Aspens and was for my birthday. I listed that in the reservation but it was overlooked at dinner. At the very end of the meal after no one said anything I called over the manager and she was very apologetic and gave us a dessert to go which I appreciate, but having to say something defeats the purpose of making the reservation in the first place. Other than that we had very good service and the food was good.
New Years Eve.
New Years Eve celebration
We made a reservation for NYE and overall we were very pleased with the evening.
When we arrived we were seated on time at a booth as we had requested.
Our server Lauren J worked very hard and I really appreciated her efforts so I gave her a generous tip.
We had the Tuna 2 Ways appetizer, it was excellent. The Tuna Poke is our favorite of any in the area with a nice serving size and very tasty. The seared tuna with pepper crust was also excellent. I know this is primarily a steak restaurant but I actually think they have the best tuna appetizer around.
I had a martini and we ordered a bottle of wine with dinner.
I had the prime rib medium rare. It was excellent! Not too fatty (I hate when its just fat) and cooked just as I asked. Wife had the petite filet. We tried each other's entree. I thought her filet had the better taste, although I was totally contented and happy I ordered the prime rib since I don't eat that very often.
For sides we had baked potato and broccoli. Baked potato was fresh and broccoli was cooked just right and not overcooked and mushy.
We opted to skip dessert this time.
Total cost with tip was nearly $200 so this is definitely a special occasion outing for us.
Overall, excellent meal and great service which left us very pleased with our evening out.
Very noisy .
Aspens Signature Steak has always delivered a fine dining experience. The atmosphere is pleasant while the food is outstanding. Steaks are perfectly prepared to requested temperature and the side dishes are delicious. A wonderful “go to” restaurant for any (or no) occaision.
Had a family dinner and Aspens fit the bill! Staff was fantastic and attentive! Food was outstanding and the steaks where cooked to perfection. Sides hit the mark for flavor and savory taste! Great wine selection!
Prime rib was tough. Service was great. Calamari had too much batter. Shrimp and grits were just ok
Wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Had the Shrimp & Grits for the first time here. They were outstanding. Best I ever had.
Awesome food as always
Many of our food items were incorrect, or didn't come out together. We went on Christmas Eve before they were busy, so we could get good food/service. Guess they were too busy prepping to care? Not sure we will go back. We used to love it here!
Dessert for $8.00: size never reflects far too high price.
We thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner! Our server, Michael, was fantastic! Very attentive, professional and pleasant! As always, the food and wine are fantastic! We are looking forward to our next visit!
Christmas dinner with family
We just experienced a superb dining experience from Aspen's for my elderly parents' 63rd Wedding Anniversary! We had what we consider the best seat in the house during the winter: by the fireplace. My elderly mother didn't complain once about being cold. lol
Our meals met our expectations, presented nicely and with some complex flavors which was a pleasant surprise, and the wine was excellent as well. Good sourdough bread basket, too. Lovely complimentary anniversary cake, a modest slice of red velvet, perfect amount, with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate script. The cake was moist and beautifully presented. Our server was competent, pleasant, and all around wonderful.
We raved on the way home in the car and look forward to next year's meal! Thank you, Aspen, for helping create the fond memories and for being established in the culturally-sparse suburbs of Cobb County as we're not big on driving all the way into Atlanta for the "big fish" restaurants with the valets/complex parking issues that go with it. So thank you for filling that need in Cobb. It's much needed and you are the crown jewel. So until next time, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Take care!
Filet not up to usual Aspen standards. New meat supplier? New chef?
Never fails to satisfy. We normally utilize the Early Bird menu which is fairly extensive and pretty reasonable. Good food, fair price, close by. All servers are excellent but Katie is “excellenter”. We love everything about Aspens
Had a nice dinner even though didnt go for steak. Trout was raved about by dinner guest and would go back just to have again. Service was great; tables have a lot of room so you dont feel packed in. I had the fried shrimp which were not butterflied so held a bit too much oil but very freah tasting. Overall delicious meal and I look forward to the next time.
Our server Michelle was just outstanding. she was attentive, knowledgable and enthusiastic. she is an asset to the restaurant
Always have enjoyed Aspens But that night seemed like the wait staff was slammed. We waited 15 min at our table - we had to flag someone for drink order. We waited another 30 min for our drinks. Our waitress was very pleasant but seemed stressed.
Our app came before our drinks. Calamari was excellent.
All 3 of our entrees were cold. I ordered the special - I believe snapper- it was really cold. We all agreed we like Aspens But was disappointed that night.
But y’all need to know😊
Micheal our server was great. Our steaks and seaford were properly prepared and were hot when brought to our table.servers pay attention to detail.bar service was good as well.cozy table by fireplace. sourdough bread was tasty, I hope they bring back the mustard butter that they used to serve with the bread. all in all a great meal.
We go there on a regular basis b/c of the ambiance and service, as well as the food. Our server was fantastic even on a very busy night. Love the bar seating w huge booths. Fireplace is great. Wonderful menu.
One of my favorite nice restaurants. Service could not have been more attentive.
I was there for my wife's birthday and it was never mentioned. Also, the food was very salty and I had to send my creamed spinach back. The restaurant was extremely busy and I think that might had something to do with the food not being as good as usual.
We recently moved to this area and had dinner for the first time at Aspens. LOVED it. We will be back (regularly)
It was a rare date for my wife and I. We impressed and will make it back.
We had a condescending flippant server who didn't appear to be happy. My boyfriend's steak was very small, his mashed potatoes and broccoli arrived less than room temperature probably because it took so long to get to our table. My salad was overly drenched in dressing, appeared more like soup. Very disappointed.
