Amazing food and service! Made my birthday dinner extra special.
Server was engaging cute and humorous. Gave good suggestions and made our experience enjoyable. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The sides were a perfect pair to the main entree. I commend the chef on his selection of the sides. Bread pudding and thin mint martini also delicious.
Interesting flavor combinations. Large portions. Excellent service
Great place! Amazing food, great choice, very warm welcome. Perfect service. Nice room with many beautiful paintings.
It was our last evening in Myrtle Beach and were looking forward to ending our first trip to Myrtle with a nice evening. Experience summary:
Service: Just ok. While the server was friendly, she undoubtedly lacked attentiveness and knowledge of the restaurant and menu. However, as always, still tipped 30% on a $215 bill.
Drinks/Bar: I ordered from our server an espresso martini, not creamy. The first martini came out good. I finished my first and requested a second. The second one was made ENTIRELY different. It was more of a dessert or chocolate martini. No espresso taste. I asked the server and she said I guess that does look different. She took the drink and said she'll have the other bartender make it who made my first. Drink came back looking like the same chocolate creamy martini. At that point I didn't want to argue. And to add, I have never sent back food or drinks and especially would not expect to considering this was supposed to be an upscale experience. I also noticed the bartender seemed disgusted that I sent the drink back of his. Which is a turn off.
Food:. Food was good not excellent. We started with the garlic Parm oyster feature. These were really good. My husband ordered ribeye, although expected to be a certain level, it was extremely fatty. He requested wedges but received kids french fries instead. My husband didn't complain. My filet was cooked well. I received no hollandaise as the menu states and when I asked for it the food runner seemed bothered. Hollandaise came out cold and lumpy. Also we both received green beans in place of asparagus. We didn't say anything about it though.
Overall experience was average at best. Do yourself a favor and go to NY PRIME down the road. We ate there three nights before Aspen Grille. NY Prime lives up to it's rating, price point and upscale self identity unlike Aspen Grille.
Mark our waiter made it a memorable birthday dinner. Food was superb and manager snd all personnel were helpful and nice. Did not feel rushed.
We had a great time from the moment we arrived through our entire meal. Our server Logan was excellent and the bartender Greg was totally engaging. The food was really good. We will definitely recommend your restaurant to friends when they visit Myrtle Beach.
Best short ribs on the planet. Wonderful wine list. Fantastic service.
A bit pricey but everything is wonderful. If you are looking for a place to take that someone special to actually feel special. This is the place. Enjoy and be pampered.
One of our go to favorites in Myrtle Beach.
As always great food and service
Shrimp and Grits, Scallops, Mahi Mahi & Veal Chop were outstanding. We go to Aspen Grille every time in Myrtle Beach. Always a great meal. Felt very safe. Mark is amazing!
Food was fantastic! Hospitable and warm staff.
Excellent food. The fresh catch fish was amazing. Very good service. Organized. We had a reservation. Higher price point but I felt that there is value for the money.
A bit pricey but food and service was excellent.
We were in Myrtle Beach for a week and ended up reserving a table at the Aspen Grill twice. The food, service, wait staff were all terrific. It is definitely a place we will go to again.
Aspen Grille did not disappoint last night. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the hostess who took us over to our romantic pre-set table.
Our server, Bart, did an amazing job going over the features and kept our drinks full and table clear throughout the courses. Our filets were cooked to perfection, compliments to the chef, and the sauce pairings were out of this world. I personally had the hunter's sauce, it started on the side before I smothered it over my entire plate. Both plates were wiped clean including the truffle mushroom risotto which came out exceptionally hot and creamy. We topped our evening with their classic New York cheesecake and requested fresh strawberries which they were happy to supply. They are in season and were the perfect last bite to a great evening.
In a city full of mediocrity, Aspen Grille proves to be a step above the rest. Looking forward to future visits and thank you for having us.
The trout was fantastic. The appetizers where as well.
I truly enjoyed the experience. Everything was great. U will be going back next time I'm in south Carolina.
Aspen is our go to restaurant when we get in Myrtle Beach SC. My husband says if you want a good steak. Aspen is the way to go.. The food, service and atmosphere is the top of fine dining. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it. 😊❤️
Excellent service. Great food.
When I travel I always go to the top rated restaurants in the area. I’m was very disappointed with Aspen Grille. My server was not interested in me at all and very unfriendly. I had the beet salad and it was great. Then I had the scallops with risotto and spinach. The spinach was not seasoned at all. The risotto was so underdone that it got stuck in my teeth and I couldn’t eat it. The scallops were the best thing on the plate but were not seared. I had creme brûlée for dessert. The sugar on top was so thick that it wouldn’t crack. It was like a large piece of candy. I had to remove it completely and eat just the custard underneath
Went for my birthday and it was delicious! I had the New Bedford scallops with truffle mushroom risotto and they were outstanding. My husband had the NY strip and loved it. We also tried the caesar salad, the calamari and the creme brûlée and they were all perfect. Our server Allison J was so attentive and kind... really an enjoyable experience over all. Can’t wait to go back!
Service, wine & entrees were exceptional. We will definitely return.
Fantastic meal, from start to finish! I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going back!
Awesome experience from arrival to leaving. Special requests we made while making the reservation were honored, our server was new but still knowledgeable and pleasant, the food was impeccable (even reheated) We will definitely go again and again.
Today was my wife and my anniversary. The staff went out of there way to have a nice card and was very friendly.
Had dinner with friends from out of town. Excellent wine service, entrées were prepared perfectly! Mark, our server did a phenomenal job!
Great experience on my wife’s birthday. The table was ready with a birthday card for my wife. They wished my wife a happy birthday several times. The service was good and the food tasted great. I really liked the triple chocolate cake. An overall great experience.
Wanted to love it because everyone was so nice but overall just ok. Sat at a bar high top and they must have forgotten to check on us as my husbands drink was empty for quite some time and didn’t notice until our food came out... Server forgot to give us a happy hour menu, not a big deal. Then forgot to bring us bread, had to ask. Ordered the scallops and it was cold... no one even noticed I barely touched it and I don’t like scallops re heated so unfortunately it was a waste of a meal for me. Then he forgot to take the happy hour cost off one of my glasses of wine and we left before happy hour was over, for a few dollars I didn’t care enough to say anything but still annoying as it wasn’t busy. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor big time, definitely not worth the money. He always finishes his meal and this time, did not... But staff was all super nice and friendly!! Just wouldn’t go out of our way for the expensive food, much better options close by :/
My boyfriend and I visited Aspen Grille for a date night during our vacay to Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed the ambience, service, and food. We both ordered the roasted chicken. The mashed potatoes and asparagus was delicious. The only downfall was the chicken. Although it was juicy, it lacked flavor. However, that wouldn’t deter me from visiting again.
Food was excellent
Service was very good.
Seven thirty reservation. Was made. Rest called day before wanted to make it later. We refused. When we got there there were plenty of tables.??
Also veal chop ,which was fantastic had very little sause. I asked for more Charged 5.00. what a rip off.chop should have had much more sause at first. Potato soaked up most of it???
When you nickel and dime people you get a tacky reputation. Not pleased with that.
My apologies for your sauce being charged on the bill. This is an error in the system that we need to correct. In order for the sauce to be made by the kitchen, a ticket needs to be generated which charges the bill. However we should have removed the charge prior to your being presented. Please ask for Roland or Rosanne on your next visit and we will gladly refund that incorrect charge. Again our apologies.
Overall great evening. My granddaughter was looking forward to having the chocolate 10 layer cake and you were sold out. I told her we would request to have a piece when we make reservations next time. Always enjoy your restaurant.
Great service, food was good just not sure worth the price.
Very over priced. Used to go frequently and prices are 50 percent higher. Good, wine and quality no better. Will not be back.
It disturbs us when clients “embellish” on their reviews. Since our new ownership began over 15 months ago, the quality of food & wine being served has grown exponentially. Center cut, dry aged, USDA prime beef, NOT choice beef. Fresh, never frozen seafood, etc.. Although the prices of these proteins has risen roughly 40% this year, and we have added expenses due to COVID-19, facemasks, extra sanitizer, company disinfecting the restaurant, prices have risen about 12%. Please be truthful .
Logan was an excellent server, he knew all the food choices, and he was very pleasant. Logan was the best!
First time ever service was marginal.
Featured appetizer ( char-broiled oysters) were Very disappointing. Was led to believe they were as good as Drago's in New Orleans. extremely small and no if any Pecorio Romano cheese.
However will be back...
It was a wonderful experience. Food and service were excellent.
Nice dinner. Liquor and wine a bit overpriced. For the price there should be a chef complimentary appetizer other than bread. Wasn’t blown away from a value perspective.
Delicious! Class act!
All five of us in our party were very happy with our dinners. The miso glazed salmon, my entree, was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of glaze. The accompanying brussel sprouts were crispy and just salty enough and the basmati rice was a great finish. The special entree of halibut was enjoyed by 2, and they raves about the beurre blanc sauce. The duck and also the 6oz filet were also excellent. Our waiter was engaging and knowledgeable and the entire evening was without any issue. Excellent!
