Excellent food, service and a view to die for. As good a restaurant as exists on the Upper West Side. Every morsel was perfect.

Fantastic view but unfortunately low level service and food without any originality. Worth going once for the view but definitely not for food

We celebrated my husbands 30th birthday here and he was amazed! Asiate was able to accommodate my request for a table with a view, which was one of the best views we've had yet! It was simply beautiful and added to the ambience. Food was delicious (very small portions but so good), you'll have tons of option to choose from the wine and champagne as well. Staff was very polite and made you feel special. Jazz music played throughout the night and created such a nice vibe. Would totally recommend for any special occasions and fine dining experiences.

Asiate is a beautiful and modern restaurant. It was very romantic and the whole setup is quite nice. We went for the Sunday brunch and quite liked the food. The service was outstanding and very attentive and polite. Loved the place and will be back soon!

The service was impeccable absolutely nothing to say however the really mediocre dinner no seasoning of the products was its taste i think the restaurant only works because of that seen! In any case I will return more! At the time of the bill I left only $ 18 tip as I thought it deserved no more! One of the managers came to tell me that normally we leave at least 20% so it would have been about 50 dollars I told him that for the price there I would have had to eat much better than that and that if it would not be happy I will leave absolutely nothing because we do not forget that it is not an obligation we give if have not eaten well and as it was really not terrible at all, naturally.

Beautiful space with amazing views. Portions are small- so if you have a big appetite this is not for you.
Otherwise it's a lovely place!

the food was superb and stands up strongly against the best restaurants in town. Service was excellent and with their assistance were able to enjoy the full tasting menu at a leisurely pace and still get out with plenty of time to make the play. Highly recommended

We opted for the the tasting menu with the wine pairing and thoroughly enjoyed everything. All of the plates were beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious to eat. We started with champagne which was fantastic but all of the wines perfectly complemented each course. Would definitely recommend and will go back next time we visit New York!

The dining room is beautiful, but don’t waste your time on the mediocre $95 price fixe 3 course dinner served in laughably small portions. Also, they need more help. I had to wait 10 minutes to be seated in a nearly-empty dining room.

This was a birthday celebration for a friend and could not have been nicer. I come to Asiate quite often and am never disappointed. The service is so friendly, the food grast and the view incomparable.

Beautiful setting with a spectacular view. The menu is limited and expensive, but the food is inventive, beautifully prepared and consistently excellent. Their wine list is similarly excellent. It is great for a romantic dinner or visitors from out of town.

We'd mentioned that it was a special occasion, but it didn't feel very special. Service was slow and the menu is underwhelming. Boring and bland and felt far too expensive for what it was. We ended up having one drink (that took quite a while to order and receive) and left.

The food was nothing to write home about and if you want compare the quality of the food to the price Not Good At ALL. I actually could not believe the price for for such flavorless food...a sham. I'm not a crazy "foodie" either, generally very easily pleased. But the service was great!, room was pretty, the view was ehhh.

We went to Asiate for our first morning in NYC.

The views from the restaurant are excellent and it is worth a visit for those alone. The staff were also fantastic and very accommodating. We were so grateful to them for allowing us to move beside the window.

The food, however, is extremely average, especially for what you would expect at the Mandarin Oriental at those prices. The eggs, very important part of brunch, were poor and we had to send one plate back. We paid over $20 for eggs which you would send back at any restaurant in the world. Very disappointing.

As for value, and as I have hinted above, the prices are ridiculously inflated for what is on offer.

Do not go to Asiate if you want a good breakfast. Go if you want to sit and look at some great views and are not too bothered about justifying your presence there with an overpriced cup of average coffee.

My wife and I frequent Asiate several times a year. The restaurant and hotel management make a conscientious effort to produce a high caliber product; they always succeed. Service is impeccable, the ambiance romantic ( you have the best view of Manhattan), and they make you feel cared for and special. If you have dietary restrictions, they thoughtfully and seamlessly make an effort to accommodate you. The Sommeliers David and Slim are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the wine list is well thought out. The restaurant and bar appear to have had some renovations, and the place is spotless. The only hiccup is if there is a wedding going on in the ballroom, the sound carries over into the dining area...this can be somewhat annoying, so if you happen to obsess (as I do), inquire if there is a wedding going on at the same time....
We really enjoy Asiate, it is among Gotham’s finest establishments.

We came to Asiate for dinner again. We ordered the tasting menu. The food is even better than that of last time. The creation and taste of the food are excellent. The Wagyu Beef is a must order. The service is also as good as it was.
