Asiate Ratings and Reviews
Beatiful restaurant with a very nice view of the city.
Staff very friendly and the menu with a variety, healthy and high quality.
The treatment was exquisitive and very attentive.
It was our anniversary an a surprise they brought us a cake, and unforgettable detail.
I recommend it to everybody.
Thanks you for making a special night.
We were celebrating my mom's 60th birthday. We picked this restaurant for the view and ambiance and it didn't disappoint. The view was impeccable and the food was delicious. At the end of the meal they presented my mom with a plate of delightful sweets and candle. We will be back!
Food was delicious—perfectly prepared. Portions are quite small. Service was excellent—very attentive, but quite slow. We sat at a table very close to other diners, and my husband was seated facing away from the view. The proximity of the other tables made conversation difficult and distracted from an otherwise lovely experience.
I really love this restaurant. The food is delicious, the views are out of this world, the decor is gorgeous... perfection to me. I gave only 4* to service as I saw 2 different tables trying to attract the attention of the wait staff for several minutes with no luck, to the point where one person had to get up and fetch someone. Truly odd. The staff was not looking around to see what was going on. Other than this glitch, (most likely rare), this place is one of my favorite in the world.
NOT MANDARIAN ORIENTAL level service. This place uses it's location and that's it.
Visited the place since grand opening but the level of service has dramatically decreased to the point where we water was spilled, not provided attention. Just a bad experience for a guests who did a wine pairing for lunch. ( which we were not even told the cost of the wine pairing with our course meal) $150 per person. Not going back there again, hope they step up their game instead of just relying on high end Chinese clients to keep afloat.
Hi there I received an email saying that we did not show for our reservation at AsIate.
This is incorrect. We did dine at AsIate last night as per our booking and had a delightful evening. Please confirm this with restaurant and amend my open table history accordingly
This restaurant is in a beautiful setting. Service was good but food was spare. Also, I had notified the restaurant that it was my husband's birthday, but they didn't do anything related to it (like special dessert or something). The tuna takai appetizer was overrun with paprika or a similar such spice. The Wagyu beef main course only had a small piece of the filet along with a piece of short-rib which didn't go with it and was disappointing because one expected all wagyu beef. The small bit of potato dish with it was not so flavorful. as well. I had been there one time previously and the food was better and more plentiful.
Great view to the city, excelent service from staff and very god wine. Food was really good, very tasty, I had octopus for appetizer and the duck breast as an entreé but make sure you eat a lot of bread other wise you will stay hungry afterall, VERY small portions for what we paid.
Took my wife here on a date night. Fantastic views of the city and very nice ambiance.
The food was disappointing though, very small portions and the food OK but not great. My wife had the duck and I had the lamb, neither one of which was more than mediocre. If you're coming strictly for the food you're going to be disappointed. However, if you're coming for the ambiance and want to impress a date, this is definitely the place to go. The hostess was welcoming, they have a coat check and generally, the experience itself feels high class.
Highly recommended for first dates and special occasions. It is also very close to Lincoln center so it makes for a good pre-opera dinner spot. While the hostess was great, the service itself was also good but not great. Our food took forever to arrive, and it took a while to get the check. We had reservations for 6 and had to rush out for a 7:30 performance. I'd recommend reserving at 5:30 to give you time to enjoy your food and soak in the ambiance.
The setting is beautiful with a great view onto the columbus Circle and Central Park. But the food is disappointing, the portions are tiny, the menu cost is high, the service is ok but not what you expect for a gourmet classy restaurant. Several times the waiters served the dishes by passing the plate in front of the person, it lacks decorum. When the waiter took our order, he was leaning against the wall and described a starter with lentils as 'mushy'! And the service was too fast. We had just ordered and the starter arrived. When you are in such a grand place I prefer taking my time.
Very BAD experience. The service was terrible. A 3 meal course was imposed so I asked if it was possible to have just one course fir my daughter. It was possible ( 50 dollars for 1 course !) but the waiter became very rude. My daughter didn’t finish his meal and they asked if we want some coffee ! We finished the dinner in 40 minutes ! The view was not spectacular at all , the one from my hotel room was so much better. Overall a terrible dinner, I was very upset.
