Came here with the wife as late Valentines Day dinner. Everything was very good. The view of Central Park/Columbus Circle was amazing. The service was helpful in navigating the food and wine options and very personable. The price was a bit high but I thought the value for everything was completely worth it. I would recommend this place to everyone especially those looking for a nice date spot.
The food for nearly each course was incredibly over salted. The dishes were mediocre. Pluses were the view, wine and service. Just don't go for the food. It's not worth the $975 price tag for 2.
Food is extremely bad. This is the worst meal I have ever had in this country. I have no idea why meal with this price can be bad like this.
We’ve been to Asiate several times and we always come out happy and satisfied. Great ambiance, excellent food and service! For two people, we ordered octopus, Caesar salad, short ribs, roasted chicken, chocolate cake, pineapple cake. All delicious and visually impressive.
It’s a beautiful place the food is little overpriced for what you get but I guess your paying for the view.
There is absolutely no reason to go to this restaurant unless you are staying at the hotel have broken legs, starving or just too lazy to go out. NYC is full of the most amazing restaurants with delicious one of a kind cuisine, this restaurant is not one of them. Food is horrible came out flavorless and cold, their website states they offer "inventive cuisine" far far from it and no I'm not exaggerating. But the staff was very friendly and professional. Anyone giving this diner more than 3 stars never ate good food
Honestly one of the most gorgeous restaurants I’ve ever been to...
The views were great, service was good but the food was not what we would have expected for the price we paid. The entrees we had were lacking in flavor. The burger was clearly a premade frozen patty that lacked any taste, the french fries were over cooked to the point they were to hard to chew. The 3 egg omelette just had no flavor to it at all.
Feel not worthy to go to this expensive restaurant, food so so, view so so, services so so, the waiter spilt coffee in the cup, didn’t put correct dish to me, I have to exchange with my friend. Not expect to have this series and when I asked more about the drink, the waiter not really nice to response
The environment was very good, the food was decent, their desserts were amazing, but the service wasn't the best. They did not take the time to explin the menu, or even ask how it was going. It would be better as a lunchtime place, since I went at night and could barely see the outside view of central park. Hopefully when I go next time, I don't recieve this service.
The view and the food is so good! Nice restaurant!
Food is soso because amount is too small for the price
but service is great
Food was really mediocre, same with the service, they don’t care at all if you like the food, the only advantage was the ambiance, great view, but poor value. I can have same quality of good at 1/4 price.
Great service, great food, great experience! Would definitely recommend it.
We had the chef tastings menu, which was excellent, compared with the wine pairing. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
Service and food were excellent 👍
After attending "The River Cafe" last year for our Anniverary, and me wanting to try something new, I found Asiate. I searched the internet and eventually came across Asiate, which seemed like a great fit. The reviews seemed great, and overall was hoping for just as good of an experience. Although it wasnt spectacular, it was good. My true and only complaint would have to be the service, and the actual portions of the food. Unfortunately, the hostess forgot my girlfriends drink, and after 15 minutes, I couldn't wait any longer. In addition, the food portions were just too small for my liking. I expected small portions, but these were just too small. Nonetheless, the food tasted excellent and the view was quite nice. Perhaps I'm being too biased to The River Cafe, as it's a restaraunt that is hard to beat, but I just expected an experience one step below that of The River Cafe.
I would recommend the restaraunt to those that dont mind paying for great food, but small portions, but also to those that would like a good view of central park.
Was told me had a Window booth but it was the only one without a park view. They did however move us to a better table as soon as they could.
Great atmosphere, delicious food.
Lieu formidable avec une vue magnifique .. nous avons été très bien reçu, le repas parfait . Un gâteau m’a été offert pour mon anniversaire.
The server made too long even if we told him we have a concert. Arrived at 5:45, we had to leave at 19:10 without having dessert. Even if we paid for it! ☹️
Food was great. On the expensive side, but portions larger than expected. Would have ordered one pasta for 2 teen girls. Favorite dish was tuna tartar. Yellowtail app was great too. Ambiance fabulous.
The location is wonderful, the service was very good, but not outstanding.
When it comes to the meal itself, the bread was actually the best part except for an excellent souffle, the other dishes not at the taste level, we would expect at that price point and at a Mandarin Oriental.
The gravies serves with the food was actually good, but while in excellent restaurants, we experienced being served with a special spoon to eat the gravy, this was not provided.
We were given a table in the middle of the restaurant, and there was a table for 4 near the windows that was never taken in the whole time we were there. Should have been offered the window table. Food was delicious and the setting was unreal. We will definitely be back, but more consideration to the first in first served for windows maybe?
Service and food are amazing! I got a table by the window with a great view! I had a great time celebrating my birthday here! Great view, amazing brunch, outstanding service, what can I ask for? Thanks for making my special day even more fantastic!
It’s not a five star hotel service even they rated themselves
A five star hotel. Plates are dirty until call waiter to replace and cup of water is empty need to ask for refills.
Good food with amazing park view
Espectaculares vistas, la comida excelente.
Service was great and the food was owesome. The host was very helpful with our menu. Family freindly.
Posh/Elegant, fresh savory food with majestic Central Park and skyline views. Server Juan Carlos was amazing!
Uggggh...this is hard for me to write because the space is beautiful and the service was great and we wanted to fall in love. But the food just fell flat for us. And it was an expensive birthday dinner, so it was disappointing. We did the tasting menu and asked to sub one item, which they did. But either the combined ingredients didn't work (i.e., the scallop) or they were just okay (i.e., the duck) for us. The sommelier recommended a nice bottle for us, but that was the best part of dinner. We did, however, have a drink before in the lounge (Aviary) along with 2 appetizers that were outstanding but also pricey. I would recommend doing that instead of dinner.
Amazing, amazing. Views are spectacular, food is out of this world. Service was perfect and sommelier was second to none. Celebrated my anniversary with sweet heaven. Love this spot.
Amazing spot for any occasion and reasonable prices for the venue
Asiate is one of our top favorite restaurants in NYC. Food has been amazing and exquisite, quality is consistent every time. Service remains the best as always, warm greeting from the front desk to begin and end with. Our waiter was awesome! knowledgeable and thoughtful. We couldn't be more happy with the choices based on his suggestion.
It was an amazing experience, the view is spectacular, great service, the entree I chose was delicious, but the main course was not so good, the dessert was divine!
Asiate always is a pleasure. Superior wine list. Markup higher than some of its upscale competitors. Fine staff. Had very good Saturday early Brunch which is our least favorite meal. Much prefer weekday lunch as menu works better with strong red wines. As always, good breads and desserts. Enjoyed beet salad, spaetzle with sliced truffles. Spouse had Caesar salad, cheeseburger, chocolate dessert.
Fantastic Views. Great wine selection and atmosphere. The food was very good.
The food was great, the portion could be increased a few ounces for the pricing. But it was DELICIOUS
Everything was great, the food was wonderful, the view was amazing and the service was great. I will definitely make this restaurant one of my must go to’s when I am in New York.
Stunning view and fairly good food, but I have eaten much better for much less money. We left 340 Dollars for a dinner. Way to expensive. Came here for the view mostly, which is awesome.
