Was my birthday . We had a window table . Everything was perfect :)
Outstanding food and service
Website advertised vegan tasting menu. Even told them in advance I was vegan. Turns out the menu wasn’t vegan, and when we requested a vegan menu, the water said “okay but it won’t be the most inspiring.” He was right, it was very uninspired and mostly just the sides from the regular menu. Still, I appreciate they were able to accommodate me, but I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m making a special request when the menu advertised vegan options. Definitely did not appreciate when they brought out one of my courses and described it as “this should have been the duck.” I guess that’s what $800 gets you these days.
Very business casual and therefore it has a very formal atmosphere. Great views though and good service.
Amazing view, great service and delicious food.Clean and quiet place to dine.
We arrived there at 11:45 sharp but the restaurant was not even open. It took at least 15 minutes for them to get our table ready. Also it took a while for them to find the wine we have ordered. So, we only got it at the main course. Good for brunch on weekends and definitily an amazing view.
Spectacular views, corporate food and not attentive service
Wonderful experience. Impeccable service, meal and view
Not the same splendor it used to have. Years ago, it was quite spectacular.
Food not good :(
Ambience was kind of depressing, food was great and what annoyed me most was the fact the waiter rushed us from the starts to the end. There’s no worse sensation then that!
Definitely never going back for sure.
Beautiful location...Central Park view. Food and service were both superlative. Price Fixe was a value. Next time I would go with the wine pairing.
Trip to NYC.
Had dinner with a friend. The food was excellent, wine was very good. Very attentive staff.
No idea how this place stays in business. Nice views. Otherwise, overpriced. Empty restaurant likely due to pre-fixe menu starting at $98 price point. Awkward to hang out in a place like this given no one was there. I left after a $23 glass of average Cabernet.
Despite the comments that we found online, some very good, some average, we still decided to go for my birthday. And what a good decision, the tasting menu was amazing, the wine pairing a true match. The service was up to standards. The view is outstanding, the team from the busser to the manager made us feel at home. Thank you.
Fine dining with possible outstanding views of Central park (provided you get the window table on the good aide ofthe restaurant).
A pity that we were rushed through our meal as we arrived at 13:45 for a 13:30 reservation.
There is nothing particularly "fusion" about this restaurant, it's more like a 90's place with precious little French inspired things in a large plate. Perfectly fine but there are better places for this. Cocktails pretty terrible, like back in the 90s, too. (Icky fluorescent maraschino cherries.) The view is spectacular, though, so might wow the parents.
i was very disipoment in this restaurant the person who have the table take to much time to take the order never offer wine list attention was very poor for the restaurant food was coal i will never reference to no one to go there
Elegant and delicious. The dessert and wine pairings steal the show
Wonderful,...just wonderful! (staff; food; view)
Great everything and awesome city view
Exquisite view and impeccable service. Beautiful place
The dinner is overpriced. We had Asiate provided 3-course Prix Fixe $98 and Chief tasting $150 (6-course). Each course is done in three bites. Wagyu beef was not done better than rib eye in regular steakhouse. The view is not as impressive as expected.
service was good, but the food was not that special. If I cannot be at the window seat, there's no reason to go this reataurant.
food was expensive than the taste
Three of us went here last Friday for my birthday celebration.
We booked it three weeks ago and requested a table with window view for my birthday. Got there on time 6:15pm and the restaurant was pretty empty with many tables by the window, but we got seated by the middle of the restaurant near the bar but very far away from the window. We requested to change table but were rejected. They lady who took us to our table is named Olina! Be aware of her, if you saw her, make sure you talk to their manager. She is really cold and unfriendly. We are supposed to come to the restaurant to have fun but was treated very badly. Definitely not what we expected from a five star hotel!
We were told those tables were researved for “special guests”, but they were not filled until 7:30. To clarify it, we were there since 6:15, and to be frank, the only reason we choose to eat here was for the view. I’ll definitely NOT come back again bc of how we were treated esp on my birthday dinner. I guess I’m just not that “special” or important.
It was an excellent pick for a lunch with a date. Beautiful view of Central Park not only from a window table; cozy with comfortable room between each table; quiet: staff very professional, friendly and polite including the restaurant and the entire hotel; meals are very appealing, tasty and healthy without fancy labels like "gluten free", "organic" etc. Attention to detail is outstanding (the waiter was there even to help my jacket on-off at the table). We were running 30 minutes late for the reservation, so we called to try to keep he table. The understanding and kindness was beyond satisfactory, they kept the table for us. I cannot recall anything needing improvement.
It's an excellent choice for a special occasion. Good views, incredible attention and very good food.
We had requested a table by the window as my fiancée had her birthday but we were told that everyone asks for the windows and hotel guests have priority which is completely understandable. However, there were multiple tables empty in front of us throughout the time. In addition, the service was quite bad with noticeable more attention paid to hotel guests. The waiters were not as friendly with us as they were with hotel guests (tables by the window) and we waited a lot of time to get the bill and pay. It’s completely understandable that hotel guests have some priority but it’s not acceptable to ignore visitors. For special occasions and if you are after a nice view, I would suggest to go elsewhere, where you are more likely to be accommodated.
Amazing really wonderful meal price was high for 3 courses but worth it
Staff was very unprofessional except for the person who served the wine. Chefs tasting menu was blend, and the wine pairing was really poor. Instead of choosing what goes with the food they asked for preference and sent only white wine -cause my friend said she usually likes white wine but she is open to try anything- until we said we could try red wines too. The way the waiters talk to customers is far from professional they were also rude. It wasn’t worth the money, it wasn’t a good experience food didn’t taste good. It was a bad experience overall. If you want quality food and service that matches the price you’re paying, asiate is not it.
Entres in 21:30 , was push to order in the 10 min. Had the bill (600$ for 2) without asking it on 23:00!!!
Thanks so much to our friends at Asiate Restaurant for the great food and staff as usual and for our great view of Central Park and the City to celebrate our Anniversary. Wonderful evening!
I spent my 50th Birthday Dinner here and it was the right decision. Perfect ambience, great service, and spectacular view.
Excellent views, food and service. Good for special occasions
Sadly, the kitchen got one of our meal orders wrong. 2 of us got our orders & had to wait 20 min for the 3rd order to arrive. Good NYC view while waiting.
I had a birthday party. I was greeted and congratulated and got a birthday cake. The service was excellent.
Food was very tasty. The restaurant décor and restaurant view was beautiful.
