Beautiful, nice view, but really expensive with few options. Wine list without accesible options
We went to Asiate upon someone’s recommendation. It’s a lively place with fine food and great views. We went early thinking we could get some drinks but we were asked to wait at the lobby until our reservation time. There was no suggestion of serving us a few drinks while we waited. The bar next door said we had to have a reservation to have drinks while we waited for our dinner time. Good news is we were able to drag out some drinks on to the lobby after some convincing. I had a Moscow mule delivered in a standard tall glass and I’m not sure if it had any alcohol in it. My husband had a long ice ice tea, not so great either. Our friends had whiskey. Anyway we waited a little longer and had a great table by the window. Food was good. Drinks continued to be unimpressive. Overall- although the food and ambiance was good this is NY and there are many many great restaurants and I would not return here.
Perfect dinner, nice and professional service. High standard.
3 course brunch was phenomenal. Food was absolutely delicious, the views were breath taking, and service was exceptional.
We visited Asiate as
Good place to have a date or brunch with friends
We were celebrating our anniversary. Everything was perfect.
Great views and good food, but quite pricey. SPecial Occassion only...
Exceptional, as always. The service is always courteous and friendly, the view over Central Park is just fabulous (and you can see it from most tables) and I live the food. I love also the amuse-bouche you get before the meal starts, the delicious breads and the little assortment of treats at the end of the meal. I always bring out of towners here, but it’s a favorite lunch place of mine , too, just for meeting friends. They don’t open until noon, and it rarely gets crowded.
Avoid chef s tatsting menu or order a pizza after the restaurant
Good food with sad unrefined service
Great Service and Splendid Experience! Would be going back in the near future.
The view was amazing but the food needed to be improved.
It’s a beautiful restaurant and in a great location but the food was not impressive so sadly we won’t return. I would love to bring friends and visitors to this restaurant if one day it’s changed
Wonderful food in a quiet, beautiful, and gentle ambience. Perfect service -- not too much, not too little.
Great food with a great view!
Amazing! The views, the food, the service was all off the charts!
Great experience... We was celebrating our wedding anniversary and asked for a window table and we got one with a fantastic view. Service was impeccable, friendly and efficient. Food was delicious! Would definitely recommend and hope to return when back in New York!
Thank you for making our anniversary extra special :-)
The view is amazing and the food is amazingly poor. It is a lot of money for terrible food but the view if that is your thing is truly worthwhile to see at least once.
The view from the restaurant is amazing.
The mix of flavors between the different ingredients was well chosen along with the presentation of the food.
An amazing experience. Incredible views, wine selection. Food was perfect and service was as good as it gets
It makes you wonder when the waiter automatically suggests medium on both the salmon and lamb. The salmon was a bit dry and did not flake easily with a fork. The lamb was ordered medium rare but came medium and trust me you needed your knife. The view and ambience were outstanding
Beautiful meal, delicious food, excellent service and unbelievable view. Just what we were hoping to experience for our anniversary dinner. We enjoyed every moment and are so glad the food lived up to the view...which is unusual. The chocolate soufflé was divine. We will be back no doubt for another treat another time. Thank you asiate!
Lovely views of central park, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere, but a bit pricey.
Food was great! Initially I thought I would leave hungry considering what I saw for portions. But by the end I was content. I think they can do better describing the dish on the menu to give the customer a better idea of what they’ll receive. Customer service was amazing and I would highly recommend spending a little more for the wine pairing. The server was very knowledgeable and worked with picking the right wine considering the meal and your person taste preferences. The view of the city is beautiful. Picturesque, snapping a shot is a must. The wine racks were a beautiful back drop as well. The restaurant was a bit cold, so ladies bring something to cover your shoulders. Dessert was delicious, decadent and just the right amount. The complimentary sweet plate was a nice touch as well. It’s certainly pricey, be prepared to spend. Overall, the cost is worth the experience. Especially nice for a special occasion like my wife’s bday. (Way too pricey for us common folk for this place to be a frequent stop.)
Always an incredible meal. As a business resident on Columbus Circle, this is one of my “go to” places for a great meal. My family loves it too!
We were rushed trough dinner (first and main course) within 30min and the restaurant was half empty. For a restaurant in that category, the food was completely overpriced (it tasted as it was pre-prepared) and the furniture is run down. The best thing about the restaurant are still the great views over the city.
No words needed. Service was very more than satisfactory and asparagus soup was superb!
Octopus appetizer was tough, rubbery and undercooked.
Elegant, lovely, grown-up restaurant with a spectacular view of the park. Service is attentive without being overwhelming and the food is very very good.
Extremely disappointed. Went for 25th anniversary. The place was empty and asked to sit by windows. The hostess told us that all the tables were taken with special reservations and unable to. They seated us in worst possible location by door. The entire 2 hours there, only one couple was seated by a window. The food was fine, but not any better than PF Chang’s. I’ve been here many times for corporate events over years and was a great place at one time. It has become a dry, lonely environment where the staff is focused on upselling continuously rather than making you feel like a guest. The waiter was nice. I told the manager my disappointment and her response was lame although she did acknowledge that there there plenty of tables by window that the hostess should have redirected.
They definitely have an amazing view but it was hard to get a nice seat by the window (especially for a big party). I was a bit disappointed by the foods because i expected somewhat better taste and better presentation since it was a hotel
. Money is worth it for the view but not for the foods i would say.
The restaurant and the food are great, but I was extremely disappointed with the management. I originally called in days ahead of time, to ask if I could reserve a window seat. I was swiftly told that the restaurant doesn’t reserve window seats, it’s first come first serve. This sounded very strange for a high end restaurant. I then called again on the day of, asking for a window seat, and the person on the phone promised that they would give me a window seat. When arriving to the restaurant, I was not granted the window seat, and was told that the window seats have been booked weeks in advance. Overall, what disappointed me the most was the fact that the staff that arranged everything there does not have it together at all, and you get a different answer from everyone. The waiter who served us was great, and the food was very well cooked.
View was spectacular food was ok salmon with avocado puree not the best prime beef was great but small my lobster appetizer not that good my wife’s appetizer scallops was great
Best place view, food service I have ever been in New York. The food and the view are equally amazing
Waiter were really friendly
I highly recommend spanish octopus
The view was amazing
I would pay the same amount just for the view :)
Excellent dining experience in a beautiful setting. Very attentive staff. The appetizers, main meals and desserts were delicious! This is our favorite restaurant in NYC.
Accueil et service exceptionnels, jusqu’à nous changer de table pour nous faire profiter de la vue imprenable. Mets et vins excellents, prix en conséquence mais vaut le coup
