There is nothing particularly "fusion" about this restaurant, it's more like a 90's place with precious little French inspired things in a large plate. Perfectly fine but there are better places for this. Cocktails pretty terrible, like back in the 90s, too. (Icky fluorescent maraschino cherries.) The view is spectacular, though, so might wow the parents.
i was very disipoment in this restaurant the person who have the table take to much time to take the order never offer wine list attention was very poor for the restaurant food was coal i will never reference to no one to go there
Elegant and delicious. The dessert and wine pairings steal the show
Wonderful,...just wonderful! (staff; food; view)
Great everything and awesome city view
Exquisite view and impeccable service. Beautiful place
The dinner is overpriced. We had Asiate provided 3-course Prix Fixe $98 and Chief tasting $150 (6-course). Each course is done in three bites. Wagyu beef was not done better than rib eye in regular steakhouse. The view is not as impressive as expected.
service was good, but the food was not that special. If I cannot be at the window seat, there's no reason to go this reataurant.
food was expensive than the taste
Three of us went here last Friday for my birthday celebration.
We booked it three weeks ago and requested a table with window view for my birthday. Got there on time 6:15pm and the restaurant was pretty empty with many tables by the window, but we got seated by the middle of the restaurant near the bar but very far away from the window. We requested to change table but were rejected. They lady who took us to our table is named Olina! Be aware of her, if you saw her, make sure you talk to their manager. She is really cold and unfriendly. We are supposed to come to the restaurant to have fun but was treated very badly. Definitely not what we expected from a five star hotel!
We were told those tables were researved for “special guests”, but they were not filled until 7:30. To clarify it, we were there since 6:15, and to be frank, the only reason we choose to eat here was for the view. I’ll definitely NOT come back again bc of how we were treated esp on my birthday dinner. I guess I’m just not that “special” or important.
It was an excellent pick for a lunch with a date. Beautiful view of Central Park not only from a window table; cozy with comfortable room between each table; quiet: staff very professional, friendly and polite including the restaurant and the entire hotel; meals are very appealing, tasty and healthy without fancy labels like "gluten free", "organic" etc. Attention to detail is outstanding (the waiter was there even to help my jacket on-off at the table). We were running 30 minutes late for the reservation, so we called to try to keep he table. The understanding and kindness was beyond satisfactory, they kept the table for us. I cannot recall anything needing improvement.
It's an excellent choice for a special occasion. Good views, incredible attention and very good food.
We had requested a table by the window as my fiancée had her birthday but we were told that everyone asks for the windows and hotel guests have priority which is completely understandable. However, there were multiple tables empty in front of us throughout the time. In addition, the service was quite bad with noticeable more attention paid to hotel guests. The waiters were not as friendly with us as they were with hotel guests (tables by the window) and we waited a lot of time to get the bill and pay. It’s completely understandable that hotel guests have some priority but it’s not acceptable to ignore visitors. For special occasions and if you are after a nice view, I would suggest to go elsewhere, where you are more likely to be accommodated.
Amazing really wonderful meal price was high for 3 courses but worth it
Staff was very unprofessional except for the person who served the wine. Chefs tasting menu was blend, and the wine pairing was really poor. Instead of choosing what goes with the food they asked for preference and sent only white wine -cause my friend said she usually likes white wine but she is open to try anything- until we said we could try red wines too. The way the waiters talk to customers is far from professional they were also rude. It wasn’t worth the money, it wasn’t a good experience food didn’t taste good. It was a bad experience overall. If you want quality food and service that matches the price you’re paying, asiate is not it.
Entres in 21:30 , was push to order in the 10 min. Had the bill (600$ for 2) without asking it on 23:00!!!
Thanks so much to our friends at Asiate Restaurant for the great food and staff as usual and for our great view of Central Park and the City to celebrate our Anniversary. Wonderful evening!
I spent my 50th Birthday Dinner here and it was the right decision. Perfect ambience, great service, and spectacular view.
Excellent views, food and service. Good for special occasions
Sadly, the kitchen got one of our meal orders wrong. 2 of us got our orders & had to wait 20 min for the 3rd order to arrive. Good NYC view while waiting.
I had a birthday party. I was greeted and congratulated and got a birthday cake. The service was excellent.
Food was very tasty. The restaurant décor and restaurant view was beautiful.
Absolutely fabulous place for brunch in NYC
It was our wedding anniversaire,we were served a delicious chocolate cake for dessert with a greeting on it-such a nice gesture, much appreciated!
My guests were late due to Manhattan traffic, a street fair, etc. and I called to change the time of the brunch reservation on Sat., Sept. 29th and they very quickly took care of it. The server, a woman, was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, suggested a bottle of prosecco as we were three and, of course, we did enjoy the whole bottle celebrating 2 birthdays. The asparagus soup was delicious as was the chicken with the waffles. And, of course, so were the desserts. They brought 2 desserts with candles. The cod was a small portion but my friend said she loved it and it was more than enough for her and she shared it with her son. We had a private booth but I would have preferred a window view. I did not look too closely and I assume those tables were all taken. The only few empty tables for brunch were those further back in the room. Everyone was unfailingly polite, professional and attentive. The décor is lovely.
Very disappointed - service was haphazard at best, never got new silverware through any of the many courses. Was left with a butter knife for the beef. Lobster dish was flavorless. Ambiance was decent overall but for these prices was expecting a truly special experience.
Airline food masquerading as an aspiring Michelin stared restaurant. The only thing they got right was charging Michelin star prices...
The courses were rushed. The bread felt industrial. After returning my entree the rushed experience all of sudden became paced and I sat there waiting and waiting for my food...
Sorry to say service was slow and we felt like we’d been forgotten
We made reservations in advanced and requested a table with window view, but when we arrived the hostesses did not seat us at a window seat even though a couple tables were available. We asked if we could wait for one, as it was early breakfast and the place was less than a third filled with people. The hostesses refused saying those tables were specifically reserved for only hotel guests. This made us feel less important to them just because we weren’t staying with them this time but made our trek across town early in the morning to eat with them to celebrate our anniversary. Speaking of which, knowing it was our anniversary, they did not mention anything of it like the other MO hotels have in the past. On top of it all, the food, besides being costly which is expected, was unappetizing. My French toast was soggy. I would not recommend this place. My experience with other MO hotel restaurants in the past have been superb but this one was very disappointing.
The restaurant has very beautiful views. The food is not, however, of good quality.
We had a vegetarian dish and it was merely cooked carrot with some carrot pure. The dish was very expensive yet the indigents were cheap as well as no effort was made in cooking the dish. The situation was the same with the vegetarian appetiser. We had also meat dishes, but the meat was over cooked. The service was friendly.
Since the food was so poor, I could not recommend this restaurant.
Amazing place, the Lunch menu was not too expensive, the view of the place is amazing for pictures and looking at the view of both Central Park and the skyscrapers around Columbus circle. We asked for a spot near the window with a nice view outside and they over-delivered, giving us the corner which is THE BEST spot in the entire place. We had our own personal server because there were few people the time we ate and amazing service from all the servers and cooks.
The food: short ribs, Spanish octopus, and tuna are what you would expect at a fancy restaurant yet the menu could use a little more innovation and authenticity to attract customers.
Definitely would come again when back in New York for the view while eating.
What a view! Please go and see that incredible view over Central Park.
Wonderful dining room, very high end. Lots of space and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
The food is pretty spectacular. An interesting mix of inspirations - Spanish, Japanese, American - and all very well executed.
A special mention for the service. Perfect.
We left feeling happy and relaxed. Exactly as it should be. It is expensive ($600 for two, including wine) but very happy we went.
Great food and a wonderful experience all around. Thank you!
we were there to celebrate my friend's birthday. the food was very average and the service rather indifferent. globally the experience was disappointing.
i wanna go again with my friends
pretty cool dinner
never forgot that moment
Good view. Delicious foods. Service was good. Waiters are kind. I want to come again some day.
Great place, amazing view of Central Park, delicious food.
The service was not that good. All the servers seem to be rushing.
Everything was absolutely beautiful, from the view over Central Park, the food and wine and the great service, we really couldn't find a fault to this wonderful restaurant.
The view was amazing. I just wished the food matched.
