Have been many times before but not for past 8 years, very happy to experience the great food and ambiance again , had improved from my last visit which i didn’t think possible
Really great looking restaurant as soon as you walk in. The welcome was very friendly and all staff members from front desk, bar, and waiter were all fantastic.
We were here on a Sunday for the bottomless brunch option and the food was amazing. 3 course meal with quick service throughout, we didn’t feel pressured to rush, as we asked to take a break between each so we can enjoy the drinks and each other’s company.
£50 or so per person was definitelt worth it considering that’s three courses plus unlimited cocktails (we had about 5 each!)
The atmosphere was perfect for a week ne brunch, nice jazz music in th background and the surrounding decor was great to look at too.
Definitely going back, on either a date or with a large group.
Went for a quiet romantic meal, great location in central london with excellent food and service. Will likely book again soon and would definitely recommend
Great brunch, good value, attentive service. Lovely live music for a Saturday afternoon too
Great meal and the service was amazing, made the night extra special for a birthday occasion!
Very disappointing. Haven’t been for about 5 years wouldn’t go back.
Brunch here was fantastic. We booked the bottomless brunch, but decided to go A last carte because we wanted to order 3 mains, everything looked so good.
Our food was fantastic (and would have been reasonably healthy if not for the pancakes and doughnuts) , and the mojitos - oh the mojitos! - were so good as to be worth going back for on their own.
We had the pancakes for desert with bacon and maple syrup. Yum.
The servers were attentive and friendly, and were around often enough that I'm sure if we did go for the bottomless cocktails, we could have ordered a lot.
I mentioned on the note that it was my girlfriends birthday and they gave us some celebratory Cuban doughnuts (we were so full) with happy birthday written in chocolate. It was special.
The atmosphere excellent too and you really got a Cuban vibe.
Will go back.
Excellent setting and service, food good and staff knowledgeable about menu.
Waited so long (nearly 40 mins) for first round of drinks and service very slow
I love this brunch. It’s one of the best in London. Friendly, attentive service and lots of proactive refilling of drinks. A varied brunch menu with great choice. Sure it’s a little prichee than some of the other bottomless brunches but well worth it.
Six girls went out for brunch, which we do regularly, but we all had a wonderful experience here. Food was delicious, and a great variety. Brunch menu was adaptive. Atmosphere was lively but not too loud. The staff and the service really set this apart though, they were attentive, thoughtful and extremely accommodating. It was a lovely brunch experience and I'd throughly recommend x
Wonderful lunch, great service and very enjoyable few hours
The place was really cool, the food was absolutely amazing and very interesting. The service was incredible. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations, constantly filled up our water glasses and was super sweet.
Pre theater brunches
We were looking forward to this restaurant as the reviews were good but out first problem was in finding it as it is located in a hotel with no street signing. Once sat down in the dark noisy restaurant it took some time for the menus to be provided. Service was good after this and the starters were tasty as were the mains. The dessert was disappointing. Overall, underwhelmed.
Everything was great!
Asia de Cuba USED to be one of the best places to hit up (I am guessing back in the day...)
Forgot all about it and remembered that it was in St. Martin's Lane...made the reservation, seamlessly on OpenTable (thank you very much)...arrived on time...ordered...BUT when the food arrived, it was quite disappointing...duck was cold and dry...felt like last night's leftovers...other bits were salty...nothing really memorable...
Think there are too many other restaurants in London to be wasting £80 here for a disappointing experience for a lunch for two...
Not worth a visit. Would not recommend and will not return.
Great tasting food and good portion sizes. I would particularly recommend the Calamari salad as a starter.
Got mixed feelings. The food was hit and miss. Salmon ceviche and main salmon were fab. Tuna wasn’t great neither was fried rice. Thai flan and cheesecake were yum. Service friendly but not very prompt.
I just celebrated my birthday with a large group of friends and the food was outstanding and the cocktails are always first class!!
Another excellent evening @ Asia De CUBA - great atmosphere, service & feed - they just get it right - every time!
Super food & service, desserts a bit disappointing at side of other courses and big service charge added at end of meal rather than leaving tip to customer discretion
Great food and venue, would highly recommend.
Brilliant staff who couldn't do enough to help.
A little tricky to find though.
Food was ok and good value on set menu. Service however was terrible. We ordered sides which were forgotten about- reminded the waitress who didn’t seem to understand (and no apology for forgetting about them) the sides then came out 20 minutes later after we had finished our meal so we told the waiter we no longer wanted them given we had finished our meal and instead of apologising he just said -‘ we have been very busy’ . We were shocked at this! Waitress also poured tap water into my sparkling water I had paid for - I get that this is an easy mistake to make however again no apology and no offer to take it off the bill. It’s a shame as otherwise this is a nice restaurant but they really need to invest in training their waiting staff as we won’t be back until they do.
Having found Asia de Cuba after realising it was in Martin's Lane hotel we thought the decor and live music made it immediately look funky - and a nice surprise for a Sunday.
Service was perfect as we had booked the Laurent Perrier champagne brunch, and so the glasses were topped up regularly. Fixed menu appetisers were delightfully unusual and delicious. Tempted by standard brunch choices, we actually both opted for something that met the Asia/Cuba fusion brief and we were not disappointed. Finishing off with doughnuts for dessert made for a delicious end to the meal.
Thoughout the musicians played a nice mix of background music that really added to the wonderful ambience in the busy restaurant.
Amazing food best food i have had for a little slightly pricey with the drinks but it is London so it is expected
Our table was underneath a speaker and we had to constantly ask the waiters to turn the music down. Most of us ended up shouting at each other.
The table service was very slow and waiters often forgot our drinks orders.
Food was very nice but we were disappointed that we had to select from a group menu and individuals couldn't select their own dishes.
Abundance of alcohol that seemed to never end. My only criticism is that the food portions were a bit small. Otherwise it was great.
The service is miles away from what it used to be. The meat tasted overdue and we asked for a bottle of wine which came when we almost finished. I used to go to this restaurant once in a while but considering that is overpriced for the service and food that is being offered, I won’t return
Pretheater bento box is excellent and exceptional value!
We had a lovely meal at Asia de Cuba before we went to the opera.
The food was delicious and light but full of flavour.
We booked the pre theatre menu & was told we didn’t have time for a drink at the bar 1st. Our reservation was at 5pm , opera at 7.30!
On arrival at the St Martin’s Lane Hotel the ladies at the desk looked us up & down which was quite intimidating but staff at Asia De Cuba were lovely and friendly not snooty at all.
We were seated at a very dark table and I did find this lacking in atmosphere.
I think it may be better with a crowd in the evening
We had ribeye steaks which were tender and deliciously marinated with a spicy tangy sauce.
very good pre-theatre option. fun Cuban food, nice setting and friendly servers. only complaint: took me 10 minutes to find the place! it’s hidden in the back of the lobby of a nondescript office building. but once i found it, good experience.
We had a really enjoyable time at the restaurant, the on ambience was very good with a live band playing and off throughout our time there. We went for the limitless cocktails brunch which was very good, the food was really really tasty however the cocktails were weak, we had quite a few but would rather had just a few strong ones rather than lots of weak ones. Saying that, we had a really good time and would go back
My family hasn’t had the joy of going to this fab restaurant before, we all loved the food
Good service & very friendly
Great ambiance & atmosphere
Good and tastefull food
Great wine ( as from 32 pounds)
Enjoyable pre-show meal at Asia de Cuba. We all went for the boxes, which was a great way to get a variety of tastes - some really interesting ideas, well prepared and served. Wine list was a bit overpriced though.
Booked for sunday brunch. My opentable booking had been incorrectly cancelled by the restaurant, a confusion perhaps as there was a vaguely similar name booking for a different size group. Even though i mentioned, i wanted to order straightaway and not wait for my co-diner for our pre matinee brunch, I was not given a menu. Had to get one. Even though the booking clearly said vegetarian, i was only given the veggie menu much later.
Several waiters were walking up and down in a not v busy restaurant but it was impossible to get their attention. Apparently it was not their section!! The one waitress allocated to a large area where most diners were sat was pleasant but rushed off her feet and kept disappearing as there were some issues with credit card machine.
Highlighting the service issues to maitre d and 3 waiters made absolutely no difference whatsoever. Considering this is not a cheap and cheerful restaurant and we were dining a la carte, i certainly was rather disappointed with the service.
Saving grace is that it is a good location, food is nice, they do have a vegetarian menu and food once ordered came quickly. Pity it is all let down by the service.
Excellent waiter. Couldn't be better. Didn't push for more or most expensive and advised on taste. Open table wine could be better choice
