Owner, Ashley Van Camp, and award winning chef, Matthew Hannon, work with area farmers daily to procure the best that the Sandhills and North Carolina have to offer. We've been to Ashtens many times because we live it so! Skyler was our server in the Bar area last night and she was absolutely delightful! We shared a bottle of wine and had the salmon, duck and NY strip. We all three felt our meals were perfect! Ashtens is, quite honestly, one of the most consistently delicious places in the area - we are never disappointed. We'll be back for sure!

The food was terrific and there were many options including a couple nice dishes for my vegan family. The cocktails were well done And professionally prepared. The service can be a little quick so if you’re not in a hurry I would pace the ordering of each course. We already made reservations for next week!

This was the most delicious meal I have in a long time. The atmosphere and service were also phenomenal. I appreciated their vegan options as well. We will definitely be back.

Ashten's is one of my favorite local restaurants and their Sunday Suppers are an incredible deal. If they offered a greater variety of entrees, I'd go more frequently but who wants meatloaf every other week?

Ashten’s offers impeccable service, delicious food, and very beautiful, charming ambiance. Each dish was crafted thoughtfully and plated beautifully. As an international traveler, I was very impressed and will return. It’s no wonder why the reservations are hard to come by!

Food tasted great but the food was definitely cooked in a lot of oil. This is very picky but the water glasses were very small and they could t fill them up fat enough. I recommend leaving water on table or getting bigger glasses.

We dine here monthly and it is consistently a high quality experience. The staples are great, but the rotating chef specials are next level. Don’t forget the cocktails and desserts. Beautiful ambiance. Wonderful service. Favorite place in the area

Enjoyed our dinner at Ashten’s—we ate in the bar area—there are no seats at the bar, but lots of small intimate seatings in the room. Food was delicious and our server Jonah attentive. His co-workers were there to help out—never had to wait long for anything! Highly recommend!

We had a great meal and wonderful service for our party of four on a Sunday evening. We ate in the main Dining Room but I think I'd try the pub side next time. The noise in the dining room carried a bit too much. We all had different entrees which were great. The Rueben Eggroll and Artichoke Heart Pop appetizers were amazing!

Ashten’s has been a favorite of my wife and I for years. Although we took an extended break following Covid and their (initially) adjusted menu, we reveled in the chance to go back to where we’ve had numerous birthday, anniversary, and other celebrations of special occasions. The waitress and staff were excellent and we were beyond pleased with the chef’s work this evening.

I love love love Ashton’s! The menu is creative. The food is fresh and deliciously prepared. And the atmosphere is warm. I have eaten here consistently since arriving in the area, and I have enjoyed every experience. Try any of the homemade soups, as well as, the verlasso salmon, if available — you won’t be disappointed.

We really appreciate the availability of well sourced produce and protein products. Also that you make us feel very welcome with our food allergies. It can be difficult at some restaurants as they think it is nothing but a fad diet. We appreciate your concern and care in preparation that brings us back time and again. It was delicious!

All the food was amazing! The service was incredible and our waiter gave us excellent recommendations on what to choose. We had the fried portabella mushrooms, crab cake, Reuben egg rolls and hummus for appetizers. The portbella mushrooms were our favorite! We had duck, salmon and New York strip for dinner. All were amazing! We ended with chocolate caramel cake and creme brûlée. With several drinks (I was a little disappointed they didn’t have a sweet, white wine) the appetizers, our meals and dessert, our bill was around $400 for two couples. The prices reflect the quality of the food and I’m so glad we celebrated at Ashten’s!

We were a little surprised that no bread was put on the table before appetizers, so were were initially put off because we were very hungry. But then the signature cocktail specials were served and our appetizers came out very quickly. They were DELICIOUS. About a minute later our entrees arrived. We could not be more pleased with the presentation and flavor that emanated from the food! My steak was the PERFECT temperature (medium, warm pink center) and the pork shank was wonderful. We left incredibly impressed, especially after home made desserts! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Large party downstairs resulted in food taking over an hour to arrive. The NY strip was very tough and chewy even though it was medium rare in the center; seemed like an inferior piece of meat without flavor despite being $48. The tomato leek soup had no flavor whatsoever and was very disappointing. Overall for it being a birthday dinner I wish I had gone somewhere else and had a more memorable dining experience.

I got the duck, which I highly recommend. I also had some good wine and I recommend the creme brule. The service was great, and the waiter was attentive. I the atmosphere was also nice (except there was a table nearby and the lady was being extremely loud, which I recognize they can't help). It was also a bit cold when people opened the door to come and out of the restaurant.
