Asha's Restaurant

Enjoyed a fabulous meal with my two young daughters. The staff were amazing with the girls and made dishes especially for them. Made for a fabulous night out for the three of us.
Lovely setting. The food and the service could not be faulted. The food portions were more than generous - we ended up taking home what we couldn't finish.
Lovely food
Fine dining Indian restaurant
Expensive food & wine
Wine disappointing
The lunch menu is worth every penny, great value for money.
A little more attention to detail would have been awarded a 5. An example - Drinks team not confident in the wine serving and poured water for one of us on table when there were 3 of us.
2nd time I have visited when I’ve been to Birmingham on business.
A perfect setting and food for a masters degree celebration. Thanks Ashas
Presidents platter is unreal, second time I’ve ate here will book again
The service was amazing as always and the food delicious.
Really nice food, chicken was tender and soft and cooked perfectly. Shahed was the waiter and was friendly and we never felt rushed, timing was perfect.
Fantastic service and lovely food! No complaints here. 👍
Consider the lunch menu to be very good value. Good quality food served promptly and by courteous people. The only initial comment amongst our group was that the menu is limited but the dishes offered turned out to be varied enough and delicious.
This was our third lunchtime visit and we have enjoyed it each time.
Ashas, is without doubt the best Indian food ive ever had.
Service was first class, the food was delicious
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the restaurant.
The waiters and even management went out of their way to explain the dishes, the different regions where they came from and how the food was prepared.
The dishes were well balanced and well thought out.
Im a very fussy eater, and the thought of a dirty kitchen has put me off some places, NOT here, you can see into the kitchen through a very large window and you can see how the food is prepared and actually how hard the kitchen staff work. The evening was very enjoyable. If you like modern Indian food you won't be disappointed at Ashas. Try the 6 course meal, its delicious, but bring an appetite !
Ill definitely be back
Thank you
We had a lovely meal at Asha’s for our anniversary meal. Nothing was ever too much for the staff and they provided us with a surprise at the end, with a cake and candle to help us celebrate!
We will definitely be coming back to try more of the wonderful dishes!
I have eaten here many times because the food is so good.
However, on this occasion I was disappointed.
The poppadoms were out of a packet you could buy from the supermarket. The chicken Tikka Masala was too salty and the chicken was overcooked sand dry.
I will go back and give it another chance.
The food was outstanding and huge vegetarian options I had the boatman curry which was gorgeous I wish we had one here at home we all adored it and will definitely go back
We had the Leg of Lamb Presidents platter - absolutely brilliant, I would definitely recommend it.
Birthday celebrations
This was our first visit to Birmingham and would definitely recommend eating at Asha's. Lovely surroundings, beautiful food and a super ambience. Will certainly return next time we are in Birmingham.
Well worth a visit
Good experience but don’t think I would return very deer
The food was absolutely excellent, genuinely one of the best curries I've had in the last few years. Similarly, the Presidents' Platter was excellent and the Lobster some of the best food I've ever eaten. The service was polite and efficient. While expensive, it really is excellent food and a brilliant all-round experience.
Beautiful restaurant and food. Great experience. 2 hours flew by so fast
Perfect for our Valentine's day meal. Thank you so much
Service was very slow food was surprisingly disappointing on the day - not worth the hefty price
Not a bad place. A bit hit and miss if I'm honest. Some of the food is over-spicy and some was just right. Nice setting, huge place. Not sure if I'd try it again. Jumbo prawns were AMAZING, lamb chops over cooked and very spicy.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our waiter was excellent. Food was amazing, would absolutely recommend!
My Wife & I were greeted with a warm welcome when we arrived and was seated promptly. The lady who seated us checked our booking and wished us a Happy Anniversary as she checked the booking before seating us. Our waiter Shahid was very helpful and explained the dishes very well and also asked whether we would like it spicier or mild as us being Punjabi like some of our food spicier. The food was superb and the Muscat Gosht was sublime (the best I've ever had!). The meal & drinks were brilliant and they even gave us a cake with a candle for our anniversary which was a nice touch. From start to finish, the experience we had was a great one and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and food was beautiful so much so the table next to me stuck his finger in it (,yuck) staff were amazing and replaced the meal. I wish I had of found this place earlier. Extensive cocktails and good range of wine and excellent value for money
Amazing service and delicious food. Il l will be coming again
It was our first visit bit disappointed due to food quality popadoms were not cooked properly and one of the rumali roti was so chewy to eat.
Although main course dishes were fine.
Went there for an early valentines day , everything about it was pretty good, although i recommend not getting any appetizers if you're getting a main because the mains were huge and i regretted not having more room to have more.
and side note their naan bread is the best i've ever had in my life
1. They did not provide us with drinking water until half dinner was done.
2. The candles on the dining table were not lit, where as on the other table, they were lit.
3. The service was slow as we had to wait for half hour between our starters and main course. Also we had ordered 5 rotis, but the waiter got only 4. So we had to wait for another 20 min for the 5th roti.
This hotel needs significant improvement in the service.
Have been visiting Ashas Birmingham over the past 10 years food & service always consistent only small couple of gripes on this visit.Firstly on arrival they bought popadom’s & dips thought they may have been complimentary but were on bill at £6.50 !
Secondly & this always happens when you book a 2 for 1 open table promo on main course when they bring you the final bill & it’s never on there so check your bill only when asking it is then applied just a little cheeky on both accounts.
Despite the restaurant being full the food was excellent. Service was a little slow otherwise would have been 5 stars.
Amazing!! I would recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. I will 100 percent be returning.
Pretty incredible by all accounts! I haven't been for a few years but it was even better than I remembered. Really, what's not to love.
Not happy with the waiter. Did not offer any special dish. He was very quiet and waiting for to tell him what I want
I always wanted to try Asha's as it has been known as one of the best Indian in town - now they are Michellin starred and I was wondering how their food is like. There was a 2 for 1 for Mains deal so i thought it was a great opportunity to try out. Locations is good but parking was a bit of problem - I really should have booked well after 1930. anyway - ambience was quite good - it was really busy for Sunday night. I tried Lamb curry - the meat was massive but cooked really well - so soft and tender - I really didn't need a knife! I can taste fresh spices and it was really aromatic- it was meant to be medium hot - I felt it was a lot hotter than how i would describe as medium hot. :-) but it was a kind of spiciness it doesn't last long in the mouth so it was quite pleasant. Food was wonderful but it surely not cheap. I mean you get a good quality as you are paying a good price. I think it is a nice way to introduce to michelin starred fine dining - Service was really quick and they are very attentive- truly nice restaurant- no wonder they got a star :-)
As always the food was fantastic. Friendly service. Can't really fault Ashas.
The food here is absolutely terrific. We came from South Wales and were recommended to come here. It was well worth it and actually the best indian restaurant we have ever been to. Spicy, fresh, full of flavour.
The only downside was it was incredibly expensive, £150 for 2 adults, 2 children, we did have wine but that was £20.
Portion sizes were good, unlike other michelin star restaurants. The fish biryani was stunning. Highly recommend it. Will definitely go here next time i'm in Birmigham.
