We expected the food to be good, but it exceeded our expectation - it was superb!
New Year’s Eve dinner. Certain waiting on staff were sloppy and slow.
Food was okay in parts although the basket of popadoms looked like someone had sat on them.
Children’s menu very poor too.
£137 for a table of 4 which included 2 children. Unfortunately not very good value for money and we won’t be going back. Can’t see them getting that Michelin star back again any time soon.
The layout and ambiance was lovely, the food was delicious and the service was very good.
The meal and service was fantastic. Thank you very much.
This is our third time coming to Asha’s and once again it did not disappoint! From the start you are welcomed and made to feel like royalty! And the food is just incredible. The portions are huge!! We ordered a variety of things and couldn’t eat everything as there was so much but we were able to box and take home if we wanted.
The tastes are amazing. Authentic, proper quality.
We can’t wait to visit again.
Excellent service, and food beautifully presented with first class cocktails in lovely surroundings. Yes its pricey but given the quality you would expect it to be. Standouts the Aloo Mataar ki Tikki and lamb chop Biryani and a sublime tarka For sheer decadence the Cheesy Chicken Tikka Makhani Fries. Generous portions and take home box service .
Unfortunately I had a very high expectation of Asha's in Manchester, the decoration the interior was absolutely disappointing. People were so loud! I felt that I was totally overdressed for this place. Also the Ladies toilets were so dirty, looked like a public toilet in a train station! Did not meet expectation. Other than the staff was really nice but also ran around gave an impression not knowing what they were doing. And we drove 51 min to celebrate our wedding anniversary to spent time in a luxurious restaurant and did not get that feeling at all. I don't like to give reviews ever.. but this has to be pointed out, as Asha's represents itself to be high end!
Good ambience. Food portions were of good size. Comfortable seating. Great customer service.
If you like a curry but want a treat and something that little bit special then this is the place.
The service was excellent and we were well looked after. The atmosphere was great and the 4 of us enjoyed dining in lovely surroundings. Nothing was a problem for the service team. We were disappointed with the food unfortunately and did not think we got the value for money we expect to match the service. The jalfrezi and the vindaloo ghost were not as spicy as expected and rather let the meal down. The starter platters looked fab, but are expensive for what you get.
Food was fantastic , flavoursome and tasty. Ambiance was lovely.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Manchester
Glorified plane food.
Ordered 2 starters, received them 20 minutes apart.
Chicken kebab whilst flavoursome, was undercooked.
King prawns were burnt on the outsized, extremely chewy. Inedible.
Mains were late. I wish I could say it was worth the wait. They reminded me of aeroplane food.
Service was mixed. The girls were polite, helpful, apologetic. The tall lad was rude, completely unhelpful.
Would never visit again or recommend to anyone.
The starters are average, could make better fish at home and samosas were okay. The curry was lovely but, the naans came out burnt. We had to get new ones. The food did come out hot. Also the waiters were very difficult to get ahold of unless they were cleaning the table next to you otherwise had to keep looking around saying excuse me.
Delicious food and nice surroundings. The service was friendly but a bit slow and disjointed, we had to prompt them a few times.
The place is beautiful, service was good but the food was not great at all
Ashas has a great reputation and we've been wanting to try it out for a long time. It did not disappoint! The quality and taste of the food were amazing. Service was great; staff were really friendly and we weren't waiting long between courses. We even had a nice surprise at the end with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary. We had a lovely time and look forward to going again in the future
Food was delicious and particularly good for vegetarians. All the staff were lovely and professional. We had a great evening and would return.
Ordered Kodi curry amongst other food items. Part of the chicken was raw.I also didn't realise it was actually chicken thighs that was used as it doesn't state this on the menu.Chef agreed and curry cost was taken off the bill. Restaurant is nice and staff were good otherwise. Expected better from a restaurant of this standard.
Excellent food and friendly attentive staff as always.
Food was ok. Staff were like children, not welcoming and not once did anyone come to ask at the table if everything is ok. Horrible mocktails, like drinking water with a hint of Vimto. Nice place but they need new serving staff. Wouldn’t go again cos wherever you go, you expect good service not being ignored and having to wave around for people to walk past your table!!
Awful table setting minimal - staff very unprofessional - didn’t know who was doing what - will not return
Food was fantastic, service was very, very slow. Had to constantly chase staff for next course, otherwise would still be waiting
Whilst there was all the worry about Covid the set up in the restaurant was great. It’s not your typical Indian cuisine, the choice is more limited, but the food is so tasty and the quality of each dish excellent. Service was good. A a bit pricey, but it’s worth it for a special treat.
A city centre restaurant serving excellent food.We had Byrianis which were moist and tasty with plenty of prawns in mine and lamb chops in my partners. Service was efficient and the restaurant was a comfortable and pleasant environment in which to enjoy a meal.
The curries are spectacular, and our server was really friendly. Just disappointed that because we booked a late table, cutlery was being smashed about behind us towards the end of our meal and reflecting on the evening with a drink was more stressful than relaxing.
Paying over £150 for a meal for two, on our anniversary, we'd expected to have the ambience a little more respectful no matter what time the table was booked for.
Also, cocktail menu was limited on arrival?
Delicious food. Pricey for a curry but a nice treat for a special occasion.
Travelled from liverpool as this restaurant was recommended as winning a north west award. The curries were nice, rice was bland, the curry portions were small considering the price. The service was shocking so slow. Bill came with a service charge of 10% on which did not say it was optional. Paid £95 for a mediocre meal & experience. Would not visit again.
The food is good. We have eaten here many times. However the restaurant was cold. The service was shocking
This is by far a cheap restaurant and not worth the money with the poor service and cold restaurant tried to email restaurant prior to this review to be told it is due to lack.of staff. Am afraid that is not good enough. I will not be dining here again¡
We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant in Manchester a few weeks before Christmas. Six of us in a comfortable circular table setting. The service from the staff was excellent, they were very attentive, and nothing was too much bother. The food was also excellent, most of the party had starters, then a mixture of Curried dishes and Birianis plus the usual poppadoms, and naan breads. All very tasty. A most enjoyable night.
Came here for a family meal. The food was delicious.
