Our cuisine is the merger from influences that stem from our local Texas purveyors, to the flavors of North and South America and based on open flame cooking. We are a casual restaurant that strives to provide fine dining service, incredibly fresh food, and reasonable prices.
Our modernism is reflected in many different aspects such as our focus on all fresh products made in house with no fillers or preservatives. We buy all natural meats and poultry, sustainable seafood, and as much locally fresh produce as possible.
The wait staff was exceptional. The food was very good and prepared to order. The meal arrived piping hot. They even spent the time to figure out the name of a drink (that was not on the drink menu) and made it for my wife. We really enjoyed our time in the restaurant. I would have given 5 stars all around but they bought into the fad of playing loud music during dinner to make it seem more festive. It wasn't even that loud, it was just louder than I like (but I'm old).
Menu is a little limited for a low cal eater but very good.
Went to lunch at 3:00. Only one other table seated. Quiet and service was good - attentive and friendly. BUT... it took almost 30 minutes to receive our order - a burger and fish tacos. Yikes!!
Nothing special. The food was not great & service infrequent. Had to change a chair whose arm was wobbly. And quite expensive for what it was.
I had the best waisted ever. Very accommodating and bartender made me a special creation drink that was phenomenal. Salmon was excellent and the roasted cauliflower
The menu has not changed in years. The fish was excellent but I hated what was served with it.

We went to Asador for drinks and apps. It has a nice menu with choices that appeal to everyone from vegetarian to dieter to committed carnivore. Good choices of wine by the glass. Service was quite slow.
Went for Mother's Day Brunch. While the food was good, the price was outrageous for what was offered. Would not recommend Mother's Day brunch. Have been for regular occasions and had no problem with food or value.
The food was great, broad menu with interesting options. Really appreciated the care they showed for the special event (birthday).
We had a large group for a work related dinner, service was great. The restaurant was very accommodating for last minute add on to our reservation.
The restaurant was a bit "off" this night. I had been there before and highly recommended it to my colleagues for this dinner. The meals were good but not outstanding. Maurice, our server, did a great job to make our experience a better one. I was turned off by the host in his inability to handle the fact that the Open Table app had many openings for the evening and when we arrived three minutes late, he was not willing to seat us. It took quite some time for the host to get the manager. I was not willing to give up and finally the host retrieved the manager. The manager listened to my concerns in that the app had tables available not only for the time we had selected but also times fifteen minutes later (when the host said we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table). I told the manager that I felt that we should be seated. The manager understood and found us a table.
Wonderful, innovative food. Calming atmosphere. A terrific break for lunch.
They serve a unique Easter brunch that never disappoints. Plenty of selection for those who like fish, meats, veggies, cheeses and breads.
It was absolutely amazing. The food was outstanding, as well as the service! We had the seafood Texas cioppino (best I’ve ever had) and the pork belly Mac-n-cheese (addicting). This will definitely be a new “regular” for us!!! We’re staying at The Renaissance, and this was just an amazing plus.

service was extremely slow and restaurant was not too crowded. house salad was just lettuce, nothing else for $7. Could have just opened a baby lettuce mix and put it on the plate. Medium steak was between raw and med raw. would never go back. guac and chips only good thing.

We were treated like kings. The waiter was quick and attentive. Very knowledgeable about the dishes and how they were prepped. Gave detailed descriptions and explanations of the dishes, where the came from and what type they were. All are farm to table both vegetables and meats and fish. Beef is from local farmers as well.
The Salads , many varieties are hydroponic and mealt in your mouth, totillia soup was unique rich and best I've had and I thought I had long ago had the best, the Salmon on a bed of pureed carrots and couscous, which the combination of those three flavors will make your mouth salivate for more and will delight your taste buds. Crochets are like no other ice ever tasted. We also had many special treats as party of our dining experience as the chef was trying new taste, twist and creating new dishes and putting spins on ours and used us to taste his creations. Down to an entire dessert tray of his latest marvels. Which all more than fit the bill. Speaking of the BILL it was surprisingly reasonable and even on the low end. About $30 each and that included wine. To recap, I eat out a lot and this had to be by far the perfect meal. Each and every dish were the best independently and when combined they became the perfect symphony far ones palette. Highly recommend the restaurant for every reason, as they checked every box that one might want in a dining experience.
When we initially arrived the dining room was empty; a bit surprising we though. However, we were very pleased with our waiter, her service, and the food. Everything was excellent! We were even given a complimentary appetizer and desert because they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. We recommend and will definitely return!
Phenomenal. Words can't aptly describe how wonderful this restaurant is. It is mostly farm to table. Whereas farm to table usually means simple dishes prepared beautifully, this restaurant has complex dishes served beautifully. I'm a big foodie and can be rather critical. The meal was flawless. As a starter I had the hydroponic salad. I took the first bite and stopped. Everyone at the table looked at e wondering if something was wrong. "You have to taste the lettuce". I proceeded to share some. The look of joy on everyone's face said it all. The lettuce was the best lettuce I've had in my life. I never thought such a common ingredient could deliver a punch of complex flavor. I'm not talking about the salad dressing, I'm talking about the leaf itself. Where they source it, I have no idea. But if this restaurant can deliver a gourmet piece of lettuce our expectations were elevated for the rest of the meal. Tortilla soup? Brilliant. Rib tips: succulent. Beef burger: inspired. Brussels sprouts: heavenly. Macaroni and cheese: unlike any other because it was done with fresh cheese so it was sensually creamy. But the dish that simply blew us all away was the salmon on couscous & carrot puree. Picture this: the carrot puree is chilled and is at the base, the couscous sits on it and its wonderfully warm, and the salmon was served pipping hot. In one bite you didn't get just the three wonderful flavors and textures but three varying temperatures making the experience of the bite unlike anything else I've ever had and the sensation extraordinary. Genius. Absolutely genius. For dessert the three of us shared a cheesecake. The cheesecake was not the traditional style, it was like the rest of the meal: groundbreaking. The food is so rich, complex, and satisfying that it was nearly impossible to eat the entire portions served. Ambiance is tops too, and though large, each table still felt private. Excellent service with a very knowledgeable staff! And GREAT cocktails!
The food here is amazing. We always get the charcuterie plate and a main. Roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts are must try sides. Get Demian if you can; he is a level 2 sommelier and his service is fantastic.

I was excited to try something different for Thanksgiving. The flavor of the food was top notch! I’ve always watched cooking shows wondering how the food they taste can be that good. I experienced it today!
I know that sounds silly, but I’ve never had a reason to say, “you have the perfect amount of sweet, savory and the heat.” I had the pleasure of really experiencing that!
We found ourselves unexpectedly in town at Thanksgiving and wanted to have a nice meal out. We thought that there would be more choices at Asador due to the write up, but they were only offering their lunch menu when we arrived. Their Thanksgiving specials wouldn’t start until later in the day. We ordered brisket tacos, steak sandwich, Mac and cheese, fries and the Waygu burgers. Options were al a carte but sides were available to order. The portion size was adequate, but small for the price. The food was prepared perfectly and was delicious. There were only two other groups dining when we were there, so the service was excellent! All in all, a great experience!
Had dinner with friends here before a concert at the American Airlines Center. Great service, great food, and good location. Fresh ingredients and generous portions.
The hamburger and French fries were especially good.
This food is truly outstanding. The menu is very creative and very fresh. They talk about their relationship with the local farmers which is really cool.

My wife and I enjoyed our dining experience. Watch out for the Cowboy steak. They substituted two ribeyes. Good , but not what we ordered. Otherwise, fine drinks and food and excellent service. we recommend the restaurant.
We did stay in the renaissance hotel and walking by the restaurant we could smell the food from it and we couldn’t resist...!!!
The service was impeccable. The food was rated great by 3 of our party of 4, very good by the fourth. We were here Sunday at 1:00 PM, were seated and served in an appropriate time, then sat and talked until 4:00 PM. The entire time we were the only guests in the restaurant. Its location is clearly a disadvantage on weekends, but it is good to learn that there is a really good restaurant where you can get in at the last minute on a Sunday.
Great staff and an amazing chef. Came to check on us after our meal and we talked for 15 min. Very personable and geuinlly good people.
Service was very good and it is a lovely little restaurant. The lunch menu is very limited and selections are random, at best. Food I ordered was OK but there was nothing I would have liked to order on the menu and some of the menu items were almost silly - Cobb salad being a case in point. Either make it as it is supposed to be made or give it another name.

Early pre concert dinner at Asador was great- we were so looking forward to our early dinner after reviewing menu, but, dinner was not served til after 5. After a brief pause, we embraced the lunch menu. The rib tips were Lisa’s recommendation and she was spot on. Chips/guac were delicious and habanero wings got a mixed review from our group. Lisa and team made it a really fun meal and got us out in time to leave for concert! I would definitely go back.
I enjoy their wholesome food. The flavor is so well done. The food taste like it was just picked from the garden. I ear here every time I come to Dallas for business.
I was very disappointed with Asador. Other reviews made it sound so much better than it is. It is just a hotel restaurant with fairly mediocre food, ambiance and service. It would be fine if you were staying in the hotel and did not want to go out,but not suitable for a special occasion.
