Awesome place, took my girlfriend here for our four year anniversary and loved it. Will definitely recommend and visit again soon for a special occasion.

I was very disappointed that we had to wait for 20 minutes when we were on time for our OpenTable reservation with a minute to spare.
After reading Yelp reviews it seems apparent that the restaurant’s own success is impeding it’s continuing progress. Unless they address this they will fail.
Food was good, ambiance fair average, service okay, but attentive — but being told three or four times to go to the bar when it was clear that our reservation was for 8 pm was amateur.

Amazing meal. We order the family style meal for four and it was a great value with delicious food. Great way to order for a table since you get to try so many items. This restaurant is great for any occasion.

As usual the food and service were exceptional, however I have to comment that for a steak restaurant our steak knives were so dull we could barely cut the steak. We requested new ones from our server and they were equally was dull. This was my boyfriend's first time here and he ordered the 12 oz lomo at $49. When he was having to saw and pulverize the meat just to get a bit it definitely left an undesirable impression in his mind. We will be back but I hope they take some time to sharpen their utensils.

Simply put: excellent food, service, menu, quality and drinks. 5 Star across the board. 45 minute drive from my home and I would do it again with no hesitation. Stop thinking about it just do it.

While the food was excellent the service was abizmal! I found myself resentful of even the 15% tip that I left.

Details: We arrived around 7pm Christmas eve to celebrate my sweeties birthday. We were greeted and seated right away. Things went down hill from there. We waited a bit longer than ideal, 5-7 minutes before we were given water and bread. We chose our food and wine and commented to each other about the time and hoped that we weren't forgotten. We then waited a full 20 minutes more for the server to return and have our wine and food order taken, a full 30 minutes after we were seated. Conversation had become focused on the poor service, with comments about "at least we should have our wine". Our server offered no explanation or apology for the delay.

When mentioning this the next day, to family members who have worked in fine restaurants, they indicated that it was indeed extremely poor service and wouldn't be acceptable on their watch.

The service was extremely slow. For a dinner for 3 with no apps or dessert it took 3 hours. The price was way too high for the quality and flavor of the food. I paid $49 for a steak, side salad and mashed potatoes, and the potatoes had uncooked lumps of potato in them. My mom's mixed grill was overcooked and dry and the broccolini was roasted to the point of being woody and fibrous. Overall disappointing. I paid over $200 for a mediocre experience. I don't think it should cost more just because a bearded dude with tattoos and gauged ears cooked the food, or that the restaurant is in a super tiny suite in an old building. That's not trendy, it's pretentious and douchey.

Dinner was excellent, Manager was very attentive-gracious-accommodating, staff was friendly. We were visiting from Central Oregon & our last night in Tacoma was highlighted with dinner at Asado; we'll definitely recommend to others!

We came here with friends (4 of us total), two of us had steak, a pasta and a vegan meal. All the food was wonderful and we had 2 really good bottles of wine. Our service was great, she was very knowledgeable on the wine offerings and was very helpful with the food menu options. We will definitely be going back soon.
