The food is phenomenal and so is the service. The quality is top notch and is always constant. My only negative thing I have to say about this restaurant is the noise level. It’s very hard to carry on a conversation, with the person across the table from you, in a normal voice.

I love Asado! From the moment you pull up to the Valet, every person that greets you is friendly and welcoming. Our service is always on point...pleasant...attentive and not overbearing at all...just right. The food..so delish! Flavor rush! Great date night place or small group of friends. I dont recommend for little kids as seating is kind of close and there is a "grown-up" vibe. Not fair to the littles or other patrons to bring them maybe. 😉

Never disappoints after 10 years of coming here. The ceviche special with plantains was excellent, cocktails especially the pom drop have been well crafted, and the tenderloin is top notch. Ordered medium or medium rare is very tender. Gnocchi and other pasta dishes are also good. Purple potatoes are a nice addition. Great service.

Love the lively ambiance, however we where seated in a pretty tight and busy corner which was a little annoying something i could look past.

The only issue was with the steak, requested well done and kept coming back to the table medium rare still. Management was awesome and credited a dessert for.

This was a fun restaurant. I enjoyed the menu there google showed burgers I wish they offered those at dinner. This was a first time for us. We chose the location because we had never been and I remembered a friend telling me it was a good spot to get high end food. I was not disappointed in the food or service at all. 10/10 the noise level was very high it was our anniversary and it wasn't very intimate. I have bad hearing and I had a hard time having a conversation with my wife. Other than that I would recommend it to a friend. The Old Fashioned was good as well

Wonderful food and amazing service. From drinks (I highly recommend the very generous pour of delicious sangria) to appetizers (the empanadas are incredible) to entrees (loved the mixed grill) to dessert (the very rich double-chocolate butter toffee cake), everything was delightful. And our server was pleasant and efficient on a very busy night. We plan to go Asado whenever we are in Portland!

The food and service were both excellent and the valet was very friendly! When our side dish didn't come out with dinner, our waiter was very apologetic and even comped it for us. This is our second time there and we will definitely be back!

Asado is a fantastic place for a wonderful meal. The only criticism I have is the noise level. Every time I've been there the concversation level has been tooo high for me. Other than that, it's a great place for a great meal.

Very tasty and well prepared dinner. We had been waiting awhile to get time to go here for dinner and it did not disappoint! Wait staff was very professional and attended to all our needs. Will recommend!

I have always had an enjoyable experience whether dining or simply having drinks. Servers are always pleasant and attentive. Food is always exceptional. Highly recommend Asado for a truly wonderful taste sensation

Asado’s is a long-time favooof puts. I always order the lamb shank ahead of time. This was the worst lamb shank I’d ever had! They even brought me a second one that was equally over-cooked and tough. My husband’s steak was average at best. Service (Ashley) was stellar as always. Food was extremely disappointing.

It took almost 15 mins for server to greet us after being seated. The reservation on open table was for 2PM. They stop their brunch at 2PM and start the dinner menu at 4PM. We were still served, but were limited to a breakfast menu

I've been to Asado a couple times and both times was impressed with the food. There food is delicious and original, service is friendly, inviting and attentive without being bothersome. The atmosphere is both lively and intimate meaning there is the background noise of a bustling restaurant, but not to loud that you don't feel like you can hold a quiet conversation with your table mates. My most recent experience was for an early dinner on a sunny day when the sun is still out in the evening. We scored a table just on edge of the dining area at the patio, the afternoon sun lit the restaurant gorgeously and I was not to cold because the restaurant did have the heat on at the threshold. I bet on a warm day, eating and having a cocktail on the sidewalk patio would be heavenly. If you are a fan of original protein heavy meals go to Asado, I will continue to visit because there is more from the menu I'd like to try. Also, if you are going with a group order the shared platter, you get a bit of everything and it is more then enough food for 4 people!

Lunch is very relaxed at Asado, unlike dinner which can be pretty crowded because the food is so good. Casual atmosphere and plenty of parking, food is great and staff is too.

I was somewhat disappointed in the whole experience. Waitress seemed bored and made a lot if facial expressions that were less than desirable. Not attentive we had to refill our own water glasses! If you have a dress code why is the waitress in jeans?? Staff was working at a table and it was all very unprofessional. This is not the restaurant I remember probably won’t return!

We ordered the Asado Experience. The 3 course meal was a tasty variety of food that allowed us to sample many of the menu items. We had plenty of food, more than we could finish. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Our server, Ashley C. was the best, so helpful, encouraging questions and suggestions regarding the menu offerings. We will come back for sure.

We went for date night, loved this place. The cocktail menu was great, we loved the appetizers and salad, and the steaks were phenomenal. Cool layout and ambience, great service. Definitely will be back!

Lots of good stuff. But when I pay $35 for a chicken breast, I expect it to not be gamey and gross to try and chew through. And when I tell the waiter it’d be nice if he offered more than a ‘what would you like me to do?’ Next time I’ll probably save the $100 and go to Costco.

Asado prepares and serves fine -- in some cases, outstanding -- dishes that are perfectly prepared and frequently unique. Meat was cooked exactly as specified; two of the appetizers, Ceviche and Queso Frito, were memorable in themselves; and timing was perfect.
Service was efficient and welcoming without being brusque or cloying, and staff was knowledgeable. The menu was large enough to meet most needs while not being unruly or overwhelming. The wine list was extensive albeit focused primarily on Argentinian and California wines.
Food prices were quite reasonable, and wine not outrageous although certainly not a bargain. The room was noisier than necessary, and it isn't clear if steps have been taken to take the decibel level down.

The food here at Asado is always spectacular. Steaks were cooked to order and one can't really ask for much more than that. Props to go Jordan our server who did an amazing job and performed beyond expectations.

The flavor at Asado is amazing! I’ve had several items here and have not been disappointed. Tonight I had the crab cakes. Really delicious. Maybe needed a little more sauce. The sirloin was cooked well, delicious Demi-glacé and purple mashed potatoes. I had the asparagus and corn sides which were on point. Well grilled and seasoned. My wife’s chicken chorizo fettuccine was delicious perfect pasta and great flavors.

Food is never over the top. I keep going because I expect it to be better the next time. It's very expensive, but is a nice place to go for that special occasion since the ambiance and service is top notch. I love the side dishes and sauces!

We went to Asado for the first time on Easter brunch and it was delicious! The service was on point, the food was great and we loved the bread (pumpkin spice muffin and a savory scone?) they brought out.

Since we were there earlier in the morning (10:30 ish), the noise levels weren't too loud. My husband really enjoyed his bloody Mary topped with prawn and chorizo, but didn't get a second because of the $14 price tag.

We're hoping to go back to try dinner sometime soon! The only issue I have is after making the reservation via Open Table, then calling to find out more about the brunch menu (because there was nothing on their website about it) the person who answered said they were booked and hung up, not giving me an opportunity to say I already had a reservation. So it was a surprise, but a tasty one :)

I like Asado in the evenings. The food all seems to have this 'kick' or 'attitude'. I also always tell people that is is a good value. The Metropolitan Grill is awesome, but really expensive. El Gaucho Tacoma is a bit bland and a bit pricey, the Pacific grill is okay and just plain overpriced. But Asado almost always pleases at night. The service is very busy, but a bit slow in covering everyone, but they are good when they get to the table. The food is excellent and the price is set at a fair mark providing the overall value. The Easter brunch was a bit different my family thought. It was good, but not for the price. We all expected more. It was like a muted dinner so to speak. I had the steak and eggs $43ish, my wife had the omelette, daughter the chicken strips (huge), and my son had the Asado breakfast. All in all it was $130 and I left a $40 tip. At $170 I wanted something with a bit more kick and perhaps a dessert/gourmet coffee offering vs just fruit and goodbye. I will say again the food was good, just now 'wow'. Lastly the fruit was fresh and tasty, the chorizo was deep flavored and very good, the ribbed steak was tender and juicy, but a bit bland (the tomatoes just watered it down (how about a salsa???). Lastly more starch offerings like basic toast would be nice. They offered sourdough, but there should be more options for a breakfast @$170. Grits or fries being my only options just didn't seem to be a good fit for a morning setting. >>maybe because I am not a grits fan. I will say thank you to all of the staff, they were working hard and on the spot, friendly, and accommodating. I believe our waitress was Brooklyn << great job!

The service was excellent. Food was creative and delicious. The weak point of the meal was the very generic and tasteless bowl of fruit. A fresh piece of fruit (pear or citus) would be had made a huge difference.

This was a Restaurant week visit, so we weren't eating off the regular menu, but everything was wonderful--lamb meatballs, steak, polenta, and salad. We would go back based on the taste, although the restaurant is a little spendy.

The inside of the restaurant seems a little too crowded, it was on the noisy side. The food was pretty good, flavorful but the sides were pretty small. Price was on the expensive side for the service received.
