I have been here several times and will continue to dine there. The food is always amazing! Last time my husband and I tried the pan seared gnocchi as an appetizer! We loved that dish so much that this time we ordered it for our main entree!! So want to try their deserts but I never have room!!! Our waiter Dominic described the dishes perfectly!!! We will be returning soon!
I agree with most other reviews, the food is absolutely delicious every time we go, the service is excellent, the setting is lovely and original. The only problem is it's too noisy. My husband thought if they draped cloth over some of the rafters, it would help, but not detract from the lovely 'stars'. By the way, the noise level does not keep us away, the food is too yummy.
Found the restaurant to be very noisey - several large parties there that night made it very difficult to hold a conversation. My husband ordered a scallop and bacon (pork bellies) dish from the "specials" menu that night. The dish came out with 2, yes just 2, scallops on it. Needless to say, he went home a little hungry.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the PEI Mussels. Truffle Dusted Filet was to die for. Server was great.
Arugula never disappoints. I love the fact that many dishes are accompanied by risotto. Never a bad meal.
We loved the restaurant and everything was more than perfect....from the reception...service...and food which was delicious.....Definitely on our go back list!
Lauren was our server top notch filling in for Andrea!
Food service quality price all top notch!
Went there twice in the last 7 days and loved it both times.
Brought friends for a birthday dinner then followed up by dining w business clients!
Everyone had a great experience, quiet, clean, great menu and the service impecable!
For a small home town restaurant they hit a home run!
This was our 3rd time at Arugula and we LOVED it! I took my husband for his birthday on Friday night, and it was awesome. My husband said he can go back again & again and try a different item on the menu and never be bored! I agree - I had the hardest time deciding what to order!! Everything was DELICIOIUS! Can't wait to go back AGAIN and again!
As usual, a great meal with great service. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We were seated before our reservation time. That was nice. We had brought out own wine and had our glasses filled within the first ten minutes. A lot of servers and people taking our dishes away and replenishing our table with fresh eats i.e bread, apps, water refills then dinner. A very pleasant experience.
Dinner was great again!
We started with the lobster bisque, which was delicious with wonderful bread. The atmosphere was very nice, as it was a week night, so we were able to enjoy some quiet moments in that beautiful dining room.
My partner had the Ceasar salad & I had the special roasted beet with whipped goat cheese salad that was out of this world! We split an order of the Bucatini, which I will never grow tired of eating. We both had the Scallop & pork belly special.... wow!
We loved every bite. The restaurant has a very peaceful decor, I love the color scheme & ceiling detail.... if they could find a way to add some sound deadening material to the ceiling to reduce the echo, it would be perfect, even romantic.
Neat little place! Many friends have told us how good it is and we agree. We will be back!!
Arugula is very small, packed with tables and frankly does not live up to my standard of "fine dining". We were a party of two and were initially seated along the wall, bench seating...crammed in within inches of other guests. The noise level was deafening! The portion of calamari appetizer was deceiving. It was filled with rings of hot peppers, dipped in the same batter as the calamari. There was no warning by the waitress that the appetizer was loaded with hot peppers. I for one, cannot eat hot peppers and didn't expect them in my appetizer. The entrees were mediocre and the risotto was less than fair. I found it pricey and lacking the dining atmosphere I expected! ...wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
This was our third time back to Arugula. Our waitress, Lauren, was attentive and really warm and friendly. The food was outstanding! Ala carte, so it is a bit pricey. We really prefer seafood, and the few dishes on the menu did not disappoint. Love the mussels appetizer, VERY spicy with hot sausage. Fried calamari has fried jalapenos too. We had salmon, rib eye steak, and chilaen sea bass for dinner. No seafood special this time, but the meat specials were good. They have one table for 6 people that is set off behind a curtain in it's own little alcove. The place is BYOB, so that is a great savings! Dessert was just ok. We shared a canolli. But, that is my only minor disappointment. Honestly, I was too full and only had a taste.
It was a great dinner not only because of the food and the service, but because it allowed 3 mom's and their daughters to have
a great time. Thank you
The staff is attentive and the food is delicious. We happened to be dining on a Thursday between 4 and 6 so we chose our meal from a special menu which offered a 3 course meal for $25. The lobster bisque had delicious lumps of lobster. The mussels were in abundance. Our main course was salmon and risotto. The risotto was slightly undercooked but the salmon was very tasty. We finished our meal with the Tiramisu and the Creme Brulee - both selections were exquisitely prepared. Overall we had an outstanding dining experience.
this place is great! everyone's meal was top notch. the flavors and presentation are amongst the best i've ever had. our new favorite place in the area!
Best italian joint around, gotta love it , byob! Good job
We've never been to Arugula during the middle of the week (which might explain the shorter menu) and now that the weather is getting warmer - the menu was definitely lighter and more oriented towards fish.... but I missed some of the choices that had been on the menu the last several times we dined at Arugula. Maybe they just wanted to change things up and everything was delicious. I just missed the Strozzapretti with the Duck Ragu and some of the other chicken entrees. I will be back soon - the food is amazing.
Wonderful food, excellent service and, since it's BYOB, the price was was very reasonable.
Excellent restaurant. Have never been disappointed yet. This was our third visit. Will recomment to friends and family.
What a superb sunday afternoon dinner we had on April 21. The waitress was very attentive to our needs and explained some of the dishes. I had the Arugula Antipasto and the Buccatini. Wonderful. Its a must try!
Very high noise level. I had a veal chop which was a terrible cut of meat. All fat and bones, not at all like other veal chops I have had. Coffe served Luke warm. On the bright side, the appitizers were good. The prices were higher than justified by the food.
Although my entree was good, my husband was not impressed with his. The meat was not a good cut and had alot of fat on it. He was very disappointed.
This was our first visit to Arugula. Our waiter was very attentive and informed us of all the dinner entrees and how they were prepared. He recalled all of the entrees by memory and did not have to read the information from a paper list. He was also very friendly and very nice.
The food was outstanding from the appetizers to the main entree. We were not able to enjoy dessert because we were full. Next time we will save room for dessert. We will definitely return again and are so fortunate that this restaurant is so close to home.
The service was excellent and our dishes were very good although a tad pricey.
Arugula is awesome and has great food....highly recommend!
Food is delicious and fresh as always. calamari and veal meatballs are delicious Service is wonderful
Especially excellent service by Lauren. She made our group feel very comfortable, unrushed yet perfectly attentive. The food , especially the mussels, was delicious and abundant.
The homemade pastas are wonderful. Our server cheerful made some changes in the entrees at our request. This is our second visit, and we will definitely return.
Food was very good service was great
Very loud in dining room!!!!
Great neighborhood restaurant. We like that you can bring your own wine.
Food was good but holy cow, pretty expensive. Two entrees, no apps nor salads or soups; $66.00 before tip.and no liquor license. I'll have to consider if I will go,back due to the price. I mean really $34.00 for a petite fila mignon with a dollop of potatoes and a few spinach leaves
Good food. Great staff. Prices seem to be going up. $7 Caesar side salad? $10 kids meal? Small menu.
food was good but portions were on the small side
For a small neighborhood restaurant, the food was over the top. It arrived timely but not too rushed. The food was hot and extremely tasty. This is now my favorite place to have dinner. We had a party of seven and everyone was delighted with their appitizer, dinner and dessert. The service was supperb!
The food and service at Arugula is always very good. This visit was on Easter Sunday and the restaurant was very busy with a number of large parties. As a result, the noise level was higher than normal and the servers were very busy.
A little noisy but, great food, good service , nice atmosphere . Steak was a special cooked to perfection.
We had our first visit to Arugula for Easter dinner. We had heard so many good things about this local restaurant. We were seated as soon as arriving. Guess they were under staffed for the holiday because when the young man came to our table he was surprised no one had delivered bread or opened our wine. I don't think he is a regular waiter since he didn't explain any specials or just welcome us. There was a party of 18-20 next to us so is was very loud at times.Too bad they don't have a room for large parties. Now for the GOOD review. The mussels and sauce and bisque soup were a good start for our meal. Two of us had the pork and one had the scallops. The food was cooked perfect. We will return but not on a holiday
ok place. nothing special. décor was nice, waiter was on point and had suggestions. ordered the pasta. small amt with an average recipe which had lump crab meat. $23 and waiter offered the powdered parm cheese. thought maybe for the price.. a soup or salad and maybe bread that wasn't burned would accompany the ordinary dish I could've made for $5 in my kitchen. unfortunately I wont be returning. its shopping center environment with Breakers pricing.
