We sat outside and had a delicious meal! Shared a great tricolored salad, flat bread with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and goat cheese, a side pasta, and broccoli rabe. Coffee ended the meal. It was wonderful, not too heavy, and the perfect setting. We could have been on vacation! The delicious Chardonnay we brought, intsensified the delightful meal!
Yes, yes & YES! What a pleasant surprise! Random selection after Preakness and we will be certain to recommend as well as make the trip from PHILLY! Excellent service, lovely patio, delicious cuisine and the staff was the BEST! Priced right and portioned perfectly, this establishment is doing everything 💯 % right
Consistent good food and friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed a nice dinner with friends. Usual menu with additional specials. Loved the lobster ravioli.
Reservation was for 6:00 and we didn't get seated until 6:40. In between our salad and main course it was another 40 minute wait. The food was good, but definitely not worth all of that waiting time.
This is one of our most favorite restaurants for the food, the service and because it’s BYOB! If their food was served in Philly, it would be another $8-10 per entree. It’s traditional, but seasonal and fresh. The other nice thing is that, although it’s always a vibrant and full dining room, we can almost always get in last minute for 2 people. We either have great timing or they offer great service. Fav!
We should not have come on Mother’s Day since it was so busy and extremely noisy. Had to keep moving out of the way for wheelchairs and walkers to get by. The person that had to keep getting out of her seat for someone to get by is handicapped as well. Food was good but one of our guests also didn’t receive her eggplant until reminded 3 times. We traveled from New Jersey to dine at Arugula. Will choose other than holiday next time.
Arugula never disappoints!! As busy as they were on Mother's Day, everything was perfect!
My family came here for mother's day and the food was excellent. My father and I had the lobster ravioli, it came with flavorful scallops that were so tender and in a brandy tomato cream sauce, very similar to vodka sauce. My mother had the penne sofia that had flavorful shrimp & scallops, again in that brandy tomato cream sauce. The dessert was excellent as well, we had the lemonchello and the strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry cheesecake is a cheesecake with layers of cake between it. Overall service was excellent, will come here again and let friends and family know about this hidden gem.
Food is always good along with the service.
Noise level is high.
Food was disappointing. Shrimp was overcooked on both of our entrees and the cherry tomatoes were replaced with grape tomatoes. Service was ok. Would not rush back.
Food was far from great and pricey for a byob .Food was heavily dressed with too much balasamic. It was alright but not great.
Basically Arugula is a really good restaurant. I don't think I'd been there for dinner in a while - so I was shocked at the price of the branzino ($34.00). This time my arugula salad had too much dressing for my taste. I didn't send it back - I'm sure they would have re-done it. And I didn't specify that I wanted it lightly dressed - which I will do next time. Still a lovely place especially in the sweet springtime - patio was full!!
Always on point!
I apologize but Arugula is just too noisy. The noise cancelling baffles on the ceiling did little to curtail the noise. Having servers constantly coming round in such narrow spaces did not enhance my feelings with relation to creating too many breezes. Absolutely loved the food and there was plenty. Will go back but my mother refuses.
Food was delicious server was just ok. He seemed as though he had somewhere else to get to
Second time coming to Arugula - I came back because the penne vodka was so delicious & it did not disappoint! They serve bruschetta & bread in the beginning which is very good, my boyfriend loves the bruschetta. The BYOB is great but don’t forget your beverages because fountain drinks are a whopping $3/drink which is steep in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Especially the outdoor dining during the warmer months!
Celebrated our 26 things wedding anniversary had never been there before. It was delicious. Our waiters were on point. Would def recommend to others. And go back ourselves!!!!
The mussels were very sandy and gritty and the dish lacked flavor.
The room was very loud making it difficult to hear your own table conversations.
We felt the food was good. The dining room is too loud and our server was not very friendly but was ok not great.
First time for dinner! One of us had a wonderful lunch at Arugula and dinner did NOT disappoint!! Our entrees were outstanding and the tiramisu one of the best ever! You pay a little more but it is clearly worth it!
Service was quite good but not as good as the food!
Very noisy and the relatively small space probably could use an acoustical ceiling!
Short of that, we’ll be going back and recommend to others for excellent Amalfi Coast Italian dining!!!
The food here is great! They have gluten free options on the menu, which are all delicious. My friends are not GF and say the food is excellent also.
The food is very good. The building isn’t ideal (hard to create a warm place with homogenous construction). Our server was great.
Arugula has gotten better since it opened a few years ago. It's really good now and the atmosphere has a fun vibe but not too much.
Took my adult kids for Easter pre dinner since we could not be together on Easter Day. Had a delicious meal, each one better than the next. Shared a bottle of wine. Great time!
Food is delicious and service is excellent. Love the grilled artichoke ,grilled romaine and salmon .Any of the pasta dishes are great especially the homemade ones. Deserts are great and it’s a BYOB, love this place.
Good Italian. Good service.
A little sterile, likely related to newish architectural style. Just space.
Great atmosphere! Great Staff! Love the food! Server was friendly.
We picked this at random and were very, very impressed. The food was creative and very well prepared. I could eat the veal chop every night. Service was a bit slow, but the food and the overall atmosphere far made up for it.
Food was excellent - just as it’s been the 2 times I’ve been here before. Creative menu, really-fresh ingredients, and wonderfully-light and flavorful seasonings. And I love that it’s still a BYO.
I would definitely come back.
I have not been credited the points for this reservation. Can you please add them?
Made us wait an unreasonable amount of time with a reservation . There were many open tables but not bussed tables . Kitchen was apparently backed up and wouldn’t seat us . They could have seated us with at least bread and a drink . Also for good customer service should have at least offered us an appetizer or something on the house . Won’t go back!
It was a wonderful family dinner at a fantastic restaurant......
It is one of my favorite places. Food is always excellent. Thank you
I always enjoy the food at Arugula. The pasta is delicious and the entrees are even better. The dessert also are always a delight. Portions are the right size not too much but also not the small plates that are often served at this caliber restaurant. Service is very attentive with a round of different wait staff constantly checking in on the diners. The place can get noisy and not all table locations are idea. We were seated at table that was crammed in between two entrance ways. There was a constant flow of patrons going past both sides of our table. I would have been more accepting of this if there were not other tables open in the middle of the dinning room the entire time we were there. I would have thought that this table should be the last one to be filled on any given night since it seemed to be the worst table in the restaurant.
I like eating at Arugula with my friends as the food and service are great. It is also BYOB with is awesome !! I’ve eaten here many times. I am looking forward for the weather to get nicer so I can sit outside !
It was a nice place. Dinner was very good. Dessert was ok. We will definitely go back for dinner again.
First time there— food was awesome. Waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable. Only piece of feedback would be to bring the bread bowel sooner.
