Excellent food and very good service. Noise level a little bit over-the-top hard to even hear each other talk. The room was not even filled and the noise level was bad. Maybe because of the low ceilings? I'm sure they could do something aesthetically to bring down the noise level. Otherwise no other complaints.
Good Italian restaurant with delicious fresh food and good service in a nice environment.
We had to wait for a half hour even though we had a reservation. We could not hear each other talk due to the noise level. Will not be returning...food was just okay.
Great restaurant. Love the menu and the food was very good but it was so loud I could not hear the person sitting next to me.
We had an excellent dinner at Arugula on a recent Friday evening. The service was very good. Despite the crowd we never felt rushed. In addition to a salad and a mushroom appetizer, we ordered 2 specials ( a fish cacciatore style and a veal chop ) and a veal entree from the menu. All were delicious! We would not hesitate to return.
The only downside is it can get quite noisy at dinner when the restaurant is full.
Couldn’t enjoy the food because of the noise
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! First time there and will definitely go back.
Great food, very good service! Does get crowded quickly so make a reservation!
Wonderful service & delicious food!!
Noise level still the same loud.
Excellent meal and service! A delightful New Year's Eve dinner, for which there was a special menu. As usual, the food was superb! Attentive service as well. Kudos and thanks!
Great place. Always good food. BYOB is a plus.
Just a little loud.
Overall very good food. We had a range of food from chicken Parmesan, to pasta with crab, to salmon, pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil. The Brado was quite good although huge, maybe too big, the salads were great. The only complaint I need to get to noon one is that the bread is awful.
Tucked into a small residential development right by where the PA turnpike and the Blue Route meet, which made it a great location for friends coming from different directions to meet. The lunch menu was diverse as long as arugula was on the plate somewhere. Server was properly attentive and informative. Fresh bread. BYOB. The room was very inviting, open and light, airy, good for conversation. Would go back again.
The hostesses were very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious however it took 20 minutes from the time my son’s meal was delivered until we all had our entrees. No apologies and no explanation. His pizza, the first dish to come out was cold. The final dish that took the longest was kids pasta. My 5 year old was crying by the time his dish was put in front of him because he thought they forgot his food. The waiter who showed us the desserts never told us the lemon pie was covered in almonds and I’m allergic. They were covered in powdered sugar so I didn’t know they were there until I ate a bite. Noise level was so bad we couldn’t hear each other talk. Food is usually great here but I don’t know that we’ll go back.
Staff is very kind. We just didn't see much of our server. We would go back though. The restaurant was full and loud as a result but not so loud that you couldn't hear the people at your table.
The food food is always delicious and the staff very attentive and friendly. This is our go to place. Never had a bad meal here.
Nice service and delicious food.
Service was fine. Unfortunately they made errors on my salad and bought the wrong entree. They substituted another entree that was quickly thrown together. It was not up to standards. They did not charge for one dessert and coffee but in my opinion the entree should have been removed as well. I was disappointed.
We were impressed with the quality of food and service. The only detriment to the evening was the noise level at this restaurant is unusually high. Don't know whether it's an acoustics issue or some other. But difficult to carry on table conversation without elevated voices to be heard over the overall noise in the restaurant. Not sure I've ever experienced something like this in another restaurant venue.
Great food except the bread is horrible. A terrific restaurant like arugula should never put out bread that bad. The service was OK but a bit rushed, the waiters didn’t really listen to us on several occasions we didn’t bother get what we needed such as more cheese or red pepper until we had to ask a second time. The acoustics here are horrible as well. If you want great food this is the place to be, if you want great conversation go elsewhere.
Great food and service!
Always a great experience- have been here several times. Food is great, staff is great, all around great place!
Arugula is always a very busy place. We had a 645 res on a Sat nite and waited a half hour to be seated. They had a huge party of about 25 people. Once seated, the service was very good and the food fantastic! We both had huge salads, one Caesar, one arugula which were excellent. My husband had risotto with sausage and mushrooms which he loved. I had chicken with olives, tomatos and artichokes which was delicious. It came with a large portion of fresh broccoli and tomatoes and mashed potato. Altho Arugula is quite noisy, the food and service are well worth it. I highly recommend!
My favorite restaurant with nicest staff. You will never be disappointed with this BYOB restaurant.
Great food and service. Noisy
We lingered long over a lunch meeting, staying well past the time other patrons were gone. There was no pressure whatsoever to leave. Thank you for the great service!
Food was very good. We’ve been here before and enjoyed it very much. The service on this occasion was average. They seemed under staffed.
Food and service were both excellent! I highly recommend!
The food was delicious - my friends & I were totally satisfied with our meals. Everything tasted so fresh! The service was attentive and friendly. The noise level sometimes made it difficult to hear, but as the evening lengthened, it got a little better.
We had a fantastic dinner at Arugula. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was just perfect for our small group of colleagues. Will definitely be back!
We have a wonderful experience every time we go but we must go during slower/quieter times as we have not had an issue with noise. We go to dine and not at 'popular' times. Service is always pleasant and accommodating and we have never been disappointed with our meals. Great location too with so few options near by offering this caliber of food and service.
This place is a real gem. The food was outstanding. I had a salad with buffalo mozzarella, the eggplant appetizer and the artichoke appetizer. Everything was divine. For all the food we ate, my friend and I didn’t spent that much money!! Can’t wait to come back with my husband.
Great food and atmosphere
The restaurant is incredibly noisy. They would benefit from either carpeting or other sound proofing.
The noise clearly distracts from the overall experience.
Great food but get there early - it gets very crowded and loud!
Service was good. Panini was cold...not roasted turkey as I expected.
It was my 60th birthday and I had an amazing meal. Kudos to Tia for bringing me a lemon sorbet with a candle in it. She is she sweet!
Arugula is a nice, reasonably priced Italian restaurant. The bread and small serving of bruschetta was very good and a nice complimentary start. The roasted pepper appetizer was good although a little heavy on the salt and oil. Oil was very tasty for dipping too. I had angel hair pasta with crab. The pasta was a bit overdone, the crab was dry, and the dish rather bland. My friend had a pasta dish with a red sauce and really enjoyed it.
Maybe it’s best to stay with a simple dish here.
Food is very good with generous portions. Biggest drawback is the noise level - it’s hard at times to hold a conversation.
We were extremely happy with everything except the noise level was a bit high. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
