About Arturo's Ristorante - Boca Raton
One of the prettiest and long-lived restaurants in Boca Raton, Arturo's (featuring Northern Italian fare) is owned and run by consummate restaurateurs Vincenzo and Rosaria Gismondi. Their tuxedo-clad staff are attentive and friendly, and do their best to inform you about, and not just serve, the excellent food.
Arturo's has a number of distinctive and attractive features. The antipasti trolley is filled with a mammoth selection of traditional Italian dishes (don't picture the usual salads - we have enjoyed crab dishes, pastas, stone crabs, grilled eggplant, layered pastries stuffed with veggies and cheeses, smoked salmon, etc). It is marvelous, and, at a very reasonable cost, a terrific way to dine. Due to market fluctuations, some dishes may be priced separately, so be sure to ask if anything on the trolley is not included in the one price given. Entrees are also wonderful. The Dover sole is something to behold, the meats are tender and perfectly prepared in many ways.

Arturo's Ristorante - Boca Raton Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic meal. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food and service are top notch. Best Authentic Italian restaurant in South Florida. Don’t go if you are used to Maggiano’s, Olive Garden or other “fake Italian” food. It is family run for over 50 years and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The owner came over and spoke with us and was very gracious and hospitable. Will definitely be going back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Arturo’s . The food is always excellent and the waiters are top notch. The live music that night, was a special 5 piece jazz band, a rare treat. My husband and I started with the appetizer cart and table side prepared Caesar. Delicious. Afterwards I tried that evening’s special ravioli stuffed with ossobuco, so good! My husband had the assortment of grilled fish with vegetables and cleaned his plate. The place was busy but we were not ignored. It was a lovely evening and we cannot wait to be back.
Please listen to me. I have been coming here since I’ve lived in SoFlo 27 Years!! Read the other recent negative reviews and believe it. Down the tubes. Service is non existent unless you are buddies of the owner or a large party. Otherwise you are nothing!! Used to love this place but after tonight will never step foot in it again. After zero service asked for manager and was talking to the OWNER!! Basically told me the room had two large groups and I should have sat in main dining room?? Also it’s Saturday night and what did I expect?? Maybe I’m old fashioned but when I ask for manager to discuss poor service there is only one response. We are sorry we will make it better. Not it’s Saturday we have more important people etc.. REALLY!! Let me expound. This is not Olive Garden or some other run of the mill. High end you are paying big time for service. They kept asking me how was the food. Well. To tell the truth no better than at home cause my wife can COOK! But hey we came for Service ambiance music etc.. obviously they have enough Home boy regulars they cater to so they don’t care about you and me but maybe in time they will.
So we are regulars at Arturos. I couldn’t believe our dinner the other night. Complete chaos. Service has been consistently going down the last few times we have been there. Food as well. This night was just awful. We waited 35 minutes past our reservation. Then we sat down and waited more just to get a drink and I had to tell the waiter who started giving menus and serving another table that sat after us to get our drink order which they brought out wrong. Literally it took 2 hours to get dinner from when we sat and it was wrong and awful. Took the waiters recommendation. I have never had a bad meal there but all the dishes (we were three) were just awful. At one point they screwed up someone else’s order and gave us this calamari or so they told us it was calamari but it was shrimp and I told the waiter I am allergic. Lucky we caught it
Peoples orders were forgotten. The table next to use had been waiting over an hour to find out the waiter didn’t put the order in! People all around us complaining and sending meals back. I don’t know what’s going on. What was one of the finest restaurants around is quickly becoming a disappointment. They have too many people and not enough servers. Our server had like 6 tables and some were large parties of 10 people. I really love this place and hate giving a bad review but I can see I am not alone and perhaps management will wake up and make some changes to fix this and put it back as it used to be. This was a birthday celebration and I felt terrible.
From the minute I visited the restaurant to make arrangements, I was thoroughly impressed with the management, the restaurant and everything else about it. My party was treated with the best service, food and frequent trips from the restaurant manager to make sure everything was okay.
I cannot wait until the next time I dine at Arturo's and highly recommend.
We have been to Arturo's many times and this was the first time we were very disappointed. The service was very poor. We had to ask several times for our beverages, water and to get the waiter's attention. This had been one of our favorite restaurants in the area but no more.
Besides the food drinks and atmosphere, when you “visit” Arturo’s for dinner it is such an hospitable place it’s as if you are being welcomed into your Italian relative’s home. It is just a totally warm and welcoming place. We totally enjoy ourselves every time we are there.
Tired ! The Resturant, wait staff and especially the food. I bet it was a great place at one time, but now it’s a disaster. Took over 15 minutes just to get a menu after being seated. The food is really awful, had veal and the worst veal ever., so salty Couldn’t wait to pay and get out of the place, but getting a check took a very long time. They need to close down re tool and tray again. Don’t waste your time. Also the main dining room is freezing and the outer room to hot.
Arturos is no longer fine dining. It is chaos dining, that only disappoints. I wanted a caesar salad
to be made at the table for 2 as they normally did this readily, while waiting for Veal and chicken marsala. Although not busy, I was told there were no anchovies,(no big deal to us),so they brought our salads from the kitchen premade. Then it was an hour wait for the main courses, with side orders of pasta bolognese. The worst pasta I have ever had,way overcooked, with cold bolognese mixed in. neither of us ate our pasta. the veal was tough as well, although the sauce was outstanding. We were ready to try some dessert.Unfortunately,
At this point the restaurant was busy, and getting any waiters attention was difficult,so we never stayed for dessert because who knew how long that would take.So sorry, Arturos is No Longer what it was.
We were extremely disappointed with our meal tonight. First and foremost I ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell. I specifically asked the waiter if they were fresh and he assured me they were. The 3rd or 4th oyster I ate was absolutely rancid and immediately had to spit it out of my mouth. They were kind enough to offer me another appetizer which I took advantage of. I ordered a filet mignon medium which was fine. My wife ordered risotto with Truffles and she was extremely disappointed. It tasted like Uncle Ben's rice with virtually no truffles what so ever. At no time after being served our meal did anyone come up to us and ask if our meal was satisfactory. It was confusing because we were initially greeted by a waiter followed by a captain and in the end we got more attention from the busboy than anyone else. Upon leaving and expressing our disappointment to the owner he quietly listen but offered nothing in exchange for our dissatisfaction. I do not recommend going to this restaurant and we will never ever return.
The place was absolutely wonderful, with an old school Italian atmosphere. I felt I was in a Martin Scorsese movie :). Our waiter has been Federico, a very professional, passionate and funny waiter that introduce us the all manu suggesting the best wine to drink according to our food selection.
In my case was a date and it was perfect but the restaurant suit also group or friends and family.
I will be back!
What a great to experience gourmet Italian meal, complete with white tableclothe setting, elegantly prepped table side. The ingredients were so fresh, especially the Bronzino....the best I have had. The homemade pasta was well prepared with fresh large pieces of crab. The dessert cart chocked full of Italian delicacies is irresistible!
We celebrated a birthday and arrived to a table with “happy birthday “ confetti on the table. Everyone, all seven of us, had a different entree and ALL we very happy with our meal. The seafood was cooked perfectly. The black truffle risotto was amazing. I have never tasted veal so tender before and the tenderloin and sauce (prepared table side) were fabulous! Definitely a restaurant we will go back to.
We love Arturo’s. We have dined here for years and the food is always fresh and home made. The service is European. Never rushed. Big wine line list, full bar, fresh desserts. We have never been disappointed. Open for lunch also if you want a quiet place to get a great meal. There are plenty of light dishes for mid day.
Since moving to Boca Raton eleven years ago, we have celebrated special occasions at Arturo’s. We have always enjoyed its warm hospitality, excellent cuisine, and attentive staff. I am sorry to say this was not our experience on 12/9. We had a 7 p.m. dinner reservation to celebrate my wife’s birthday and retirement. My wife was dressed in a stunning, sequined, long gown. I was wearing a new grey suit for the first time. When we entered the lobby, the host was very welcoming to a group of women directly in front of us. As they left the lobby, the host then walked past us and was equally attentive to a group of women behind us. Us, he looked at, failed to acknowledge or welcome, turned on his heels, and walked away. I was ready to leave, and so was my wife. Instead, we walked to the reception desk, gave our name, and were escorted to our table.
This “unwelcome” colored and shaded the rest of our night. The food didn’t taste as good, our servers didn’t seem as attentive, and the evening wasn’t as enjoyable. Not sure we will go back or recommend Arturo's in the future.
A very nice authentic Italian restaurant. We usually make no reservation and eat at the bar with our friend Luigi. Luigi has been an excellent bar tender for many years. Last night we made a dinner reservation through open table. Truly a great, genuine experience. We live in a 5 Star Community with five Star dining. When we wander out, we go to a mix of east side restaurants.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all at Autoros, especially Luigi.
Arturo's never surprises....no disappointments....no unfulfilled expectations but always excellence.
If you are looking for a buy one/get one free, don't come here. If you want a delectable dinner, served with grace in an environment meant to make you feel comfortable but pampered...Arturo's is the restaurant for you.
Arturo's has an old world charm that is quite rare to experience in these times when everyone is so rushed and distracted. Without hesitation I would highly recommend dinner at Arturo's.
We entertained our friends that were visiting from out of town. They loved everything we had. We had to start with the appetizer cart . The Torta was a big hit. Next we went with the table side Caesar salad and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The pasta gismondi table side was another delicious dish. After all that we were quite full. The men in at our table decided to have a baked branzino. It was delicious!
We had to end with dessert and tried a little of everything. The tiramisu was fluffy and perfect.
Our friends had such a lovely time and we were so happy they enjoyed it as much as we do. We will all be back soon!
The greatest old world Italian food in Boca. From the owners and servers, total attention with excellent food all the way thru. They just opened outside dining area and its beautiful. Gino and Jimmy the piano players give you a night of great music and singing.
This is the best Italian Restaurant. Home cooking, great service and decor with food presentation outstanding. Zucchini flowers worth a try, ceasar salad awesome, special dishes etc. Desserts all homemade and excellent. Even background music live. Every dish excellent.
Seated immediately with open table reservation. Service started as impeccable and remained that way throughout. Wine selection was perfect and done offering two different vintages at two price points without any sales pitch. Food, from the antipasto cart of simple Italian dishes, to dessert was authentic Italian style. Everything was fresh, home made, carefully prepared and ‘simple’. It was superb.
Although I know the restaurant has been there since 1980, this was our first time. Fabulous experience from beginning to end. We started with the cold antipasto, served table side. It was great having such variety, artichokes, seafood salad, grilled Eggplant & more. For dinner I chose the South African lobster tails Fradiavallo over house made pasta, very good! My husband had the mixed seafood also over pasta & excellent.
They have live music in the other room & and many were dancing. Very nice noise level , you can actually hear conversations.
The best was the desert cart, all made in house and fabulous.
Our serving team of Nuri & Giuseppe made the meal even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to return!
Arturos is a special Italian restaurant that reminded us of tradition. This a fabulous restaurant that has an incredible cold antipasto tableside presentation that makes your mouth water just looking at the offerings. After viewing and extensive wine menu, while enjoying delicious breads and breadsticks, you just want to taste everything on the menu. Fortunately, Arturos lets you get pretty close to enjoy so many fabulous pastas, cheeses, fishes, meats and some great traditional Italian desserts.
We had such any enjoyable meal. It's great for a special occaison.
