Great service, very good food. Great place for all occasions. Ask for Camilo to be your server. The “wine room” would be a real treat for a special occasion.
Delicious seafood; healthy portions; good ambiance for a date; great service.
Cozy and intimate.. attentive service while at the same time leaving you alone and letting you enjoy your experience.. a pop-in from the executive chef/owner.. and amazing food. Couldn’t be more pleased. I will definitely be coming back!
Great food!! Also, excellent service. Noise level is fairly low, so it is intimate and romantic.
We are from New York and made reservations for 4 through Open Table based upon reviews and the menu. We were seated in the wine room, which just accommodates a cozy table for 4. This was likely just our luck, but it was perfect. We noticed the main room was much louder and more lively, but our "room" was perfect. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Arturo came by our table twice to say hello and check on us. Dessert was fabulous.
All in all a wonderful night out with friends.
Small family-run environment with excellent quality and good wine selection.
Hands down the best Italian food I have ever had. Definitely worth another visit. Note that it is an Italian family reataurant, so noise levels are high.
I have lived in Houston for over 30 years, and Arturo Boada is my top of the list favorite restaurant. I have eaten there many times - on dates with my husband, celebrating a girlfriend's birthday lunch, and for dinner with other couples. It has consistently been fantastic, in terms of both the service as well as the food. Nice selection of wine and our waiter always makes sure I am happy with my choice and offers a taste to be sure in advance. I am a hard person to please in terms of eating out because I have food intolerances (no grain, no diary) and they accommodate me every time. The fish is always fresh, and the portion sizes never skimpy. I love this cozy gem of a restaurant tucked away on Delmonte. Always a pleasure to eat there...
As always we enjoyed the food and service so much! The only thing I would change is the noise level. It’s a small place and when it fills up, it’s loud.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for several years but my husband (meat and potato eater) wasn't keen on it. Well, I pulled the wife's birthday trump card and we visited with some friends. The food is A-MA-zing!!! And I'm please to say my husband is just as enthusiastic and wants to return soon. We started with the Camarones Henesy En Hamaca (phenomenal - the sauce is to die for), the cerviche (literally, best I've ever had), the Beef Blue (outstanding - my husband tried my friends tapa and decided to order it for his main meal), and Carnita tacos (decent.) For dinner, we had the Suhrid Spicy beef tips (good), the fresh mussels with jalapeno and cilantro sauce (excellent), the Beef Blue (an obvious repeat), and the Veal Chop (very good.) Additionally, the service was excellent - professional, fun, and informative. For the four of us, dinner + 1 bottle of wine + tip was under $400.00 - not bad at all for fine dining. We will absolutely return.
Arturos continues his dynasty in the out of the way Gem. Incredible food and amazing staff!
Our food was exceptional and the waitstaff was very attentive. We had a lovely dinner with friends. We will return.
The service was really good and the food was exceptional. As a Tapas/ Bar seating is perfect. I recommend this restaurant 100%.
Great food and service as always! The fish was excellent tonight.
What a find! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our "date night". Excellent service too.
AB has always maintained a high level of excellence in its cuisine. Does not disappoint.
Fantastic food, and superior service! The snapper and the Mama Sonia Ravioli were great choices!
About the food: Great Italian-themed offerings! Burrata appetizer and farfalle pasta main course were super. Tiramisu has unusual and pleasant flavor, perhaps citrus flavoring in the sponge cake? Good wine selection available.
On the personal side: Diego is an attentive and enthusiastic waiter and an exceptional guide to the wonderful culinary creations of chef Arturo Boada. Chef Boada visits individual tables to make sure that everyone is happy.
My family is a long time Arturo customer and friend. The food and service are always outstanding and wine list is adequate and reasonably priced. I especially like the mussels in white wine sauce, all the fish dishes, pizza, pasta and spinach salad. The apple tart and the crème brulee (burnt crème) are delicious.
The food and service was wonderful; however, a baby screamed at the table next to us throughout the entire meal. We ordered a fabulous bottle of wine and spent over $400 to sit 3 feet away from a screaming baby. We could not hear the waiter nor could we hear each other at the table. The owner was sitting nearby and did not do anything to stop the baby. When you make an 8:30pm reservation at a fine dining restaurant, you expect to have a lovely and quiet meal, not a screaming baby strapped into an infant carrier for 2 hours.
Awesome service and outstanding food. Surprised with value for price. I’ve paid twice as much for a steak that wasn’t even close to the quality of their 8oz filet.
Best marinara sauce my girlfriend and I have had in the US.
Also the calamari was extremely fresh and well prepared.
Tiramisu will melt your face.
My family & I enjoyed Italian foods at this restaurant over Christmas Eve.
We enjoyed another great dinner at Arturo’s. We had the Caprice salad with capers and fresh basil followed by the Snapper special with crabmeat and shrimp and a wonderful saffron sauce. The sauce was a perfect compliment to the seafood that was expertly cooked. We finished with a key lime pie and some creme brûlée spoons.
A very nice dinner again.
Been to Arturo Boada's many times before and it never fails to please me. Food is always excellent. House salad is absolutely fabulous. Mussels are great - always hard to choose between marinara and jalapeno/cilantro. Recommended for anyone who likes food.
Get together with great friends.
Have always had an amazing time at Arturo Boada. Some of the best cuisine and service in Houston. Couldn't recommend more highly!
We shared a Caprice salad and the Asparagus appetizer which were fabulous. I had the chicken Provençal and my wife the snapper limon. Finished it off with an awesome key lime pie! Great dinner!
Always outstanding! Serve is great and the food is delicious.
Creative and flavorful dishes paired with excellent, old-world service. Reminds me of a classic Upper East Side type restaurant in NYC.
