Always great! Thank you Jim & Donna for all you do! Jim, add your Fried Chicken to the menu my friend!
We will visit as many times as we can before Memorial Day!
Met 2 friends there and the food, service and ambiance were wonderful. Very good casual entertainment with singer/guitarist. Food fresh and well prepared with a nice selection. Well definitely go back!
Only our second visit . Surely not our last. Felt like we were eating with family serving us + the food & service were terrific. All 4 of us had different entrees & all delicious including my wifes vegan entree.
Food was fabulous. Highly Rwcommend!!
The waiter was on weed. 11 old daughter was serving us food was cold
This was our third occasion to dine at Arts and Eats. It was, like our first 2 visits, outstanding. The food was exceptional. The chef creates his own dishes and they are unlike anything I have ever eaten. Every meal is flavorful and creatively presented. It's a little pricey so we save our trips here for special celebrations. But it is well worth it. Atmosphere is quaint and relaxed. You will not be disappointed!
An excellent meal. Had the pompano and truffles shellfish after the squash soup and salad. Followed up with the carrot cake. Everything was special. Very personable atmosphere.
Excellent meal! I like moderately spicy food and loved the 5-spice fried chicken dinner. My wife had the Mediera chicken breast and mushroom dish and loved that. Very friendly feel and excellent service. We will return.
Amazing delicious food, loved the fried cauliflower, lamb sous vide and poached pear. Service was top-notch and the ambiance was fun and artsy. Highly recommend!
I understand that this restaurant will be closing in May. It is a unique spot and will be greatly missed.
Five people went, five people left full and happy. No Complaints. Portions where generous, and every thing was delicious.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance!!! A dining pleasure!!!!
We (4 adults) enjoyed the perfect service, the excellent appetizers and wonderful main courses, good wine and friendly people. There are enough parking spots and a wide disability ramp. Price is at the upper end but definitely worth it!
It was our first time visiting Arts & Eats so I don't have a lot to pass on, except to say the restaurant is unique, it's colorful and somewhat pleasing to the eyes. The service and folks working there were great. A cool and interesting menu compared to most restaurants although somewhat limited. The food was good, not great but good enough. One app, two entrees, two glasses of wine, no dessert. If you order the curry meal, just understand it will be nothing similar to the traditional thai curry your use to getting at thai restaraunts, Chef Jim does his own version of curry and at least for me was a little disappointing since i absolutely love spicy curry on rice and this version to me just didn't do for me what curry usually does for me. Overall, it was a nice experience but just not sure worth the $100 price tag we paid for dinner for two.
It was good, I would go back and try something else on the menu. The service was good. I believe it is family owned.
It is in a small house so it is a bit loud from others conversations.
As usual, we had a great meal at Art & Eats. We were hoping for it to be quiet so we could visit, but it was a little noisy. That won’t stop us from coming back. The food is always really good and served hot.
Our second time there. Convenient as a “before the theater” spot to grab a nice meal. Did not disappoint! Food was quick, high quality and well-prepared. We love it!
Service was great, food was delicious. Cozy atmosphere.
We are very picky "foodies" who dine at high end restaurants around the country on a routine basis. This chef is the real thing and the local ingredients and homey unpretentious cooking style made for a special combination. I had the pompano, which was perfectly cooked, light and flavorful, the bokchoy was also perfectly cooked and the rice was excellent - nothing super fancy, just super good. It was as if your Mom suddenly became a trained chef - what could be better. The service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. I would like to see this restaurant remodel its interior and clean up a bit so that the ambiance would reflect the beauty and quality of the food. Overall I would dine here again for a reliably good meal at a reasonable price.
Phenomenal meal; my first time here and I can’t wait to come back!
Quaint place owned and operated by a couple.Husband is the chef and wife runs the operation. Every meal is made to perfection. Artwork on the walls. The carrot cake is exceptional. Highly recommend this establishment.
The food here is always, always excellent. The people are lovely and attentive. The hardest thing is deciding what to pick, its all great.
The atmosphere and service were wonderful. The food was outstanding. The best food we’ve had in the area. A small cozy restaurant with some nice artwork. The chef took time to speak with us. We will be back to this place.
What a find we didn't know was even available. I am so glad to have seen this gem on Trip Adviser because not only the restaurant was delightful, but the entire "Village of the Arts" was engaging and fun. Check it out if you love good food and one-of-a-kind.
Haven’t been able to get here in a while and absolutely MUST make a point of getting back every week or so now. Just love Arts and Eats!
I was looking for a restaurant open Christmas Day and thought the menu was interesting, although limited and a little pricey. But hey, it's Christmas, and they gave up their day with family and friends to open. I ordered the chicken and my portion was small although one other person out of three had a sufficient portion of chicken. The food was good, but not beyond good. We were seated close to the music (not too loud), but did have to raise our voices to be heard. On a scale of 1 to 5, I'd give it a 3...adequate.
Excellent food/great atmosphere/Good Vino...pleasure to dine there 😁
Lovely atmosphere for a very good meal. Grateful for it being open on Christmas Day.
Nice friendly atmosphere
As always Arts and Eats keeps us coming back for more. Deliciously prepared foods with interesting taste combinations.
Very interesting place. Food was very good but very pricey. The owners and staff are extremely friendly. The seating is a little tight, but it's sort of what you would expect in this area. Overall it's a great little place to try. You won't be disappointed.
We bought a Groupon for this restaurant and wanted to try things out on the menu. We made a 5:30 reservation due to the size of the restaurant and we had never been. When we walked in everyone was pleasant and sat us quickly. There was no one else in the restaurant besides a couple tables that were getting ready to leave. When we ordered water the waitresses tone changed immediately and after we ordered basically all their appetizers she made a point of telling the entire staff that we were only getting appetizers. A gentlemen then came out making the snide remark to the entire staff who were just hanging out that we were only getting appetizers. We were there to try the restaurant out to see if we would be going back for future reservations and we made this clear to the waitress. When we told her we had a groupon she seemed even more annoyed and said “as long as you get more than $30 worth of food”. Then at the end of our 20 minute stay due to the waitress practically ripping the plates from our hands to get us out of there she stated as she handed the bill that they preferred us to use cash due to the bill only being $4. Sadly the rudeness of the entire staff at this restaurant overshadowed the fact that the food was very good. If you don’t want people to come and see if they like the restaurant then you shouldn’t advertise period and you definitely shouldn’t do Groupon. I have honestly never experienced such unprofessional staff in a restaurant and I will never go back to this place nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Owners, Donna and Jim, are very welcoming and accommodating for special needs dining. All you have to do is to contact them beforehand to work out details. I could easily eat there weekly. Oh, and Donna and her friends display their art.
Great food! People!
Food and service were excellent ! We definitely will be going back soon.
Amazing freshly prepared food that did not insult the taste buds! Everyone loved their meal. We were treated like family and apparently after speaking with the Chef upon leaving...we are now family😊 We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for making our night out with friends so special💖
Been coming here whenever we're nearby, which is still an hour's drive, but worth it. Food is among the most creative and highest quality we've experienced in Florida. Only complaint is the jazz night music (Mondays) which has been morphing into a pop night the last couple of times. Not bad, but not jazz, really.
All in All a great restaurant, the only complaint I had was the food was served on cold plates which is a definite no no and a pet peeve of mine!!!
We have lunched here before and the food is always very good. My only complaint is that the male server seemed totally out of his comfort zone and quite incapable of providing a service. The owner tried to make up for his shortcomings and was extremely helpful. This would not stop me going again, I'd make sure we had a different server.
We had a family Christmas lunch with cousins. Bradenton is a good meeting point for us. Arts & Eats is a cute restaurant in the arts district. We enjoyed the ambiance, the food was very creative and delicious.
Such a wonderful place. I get to travel a lot and love to experience the local owned "mom n pop" style places. This is one I won't soon forget. In an otherwise less than ideal day, I drove 30 min to come check it out, and as soon as I parked I was already having a better day. Fun little place, the best service you could ask for, excellent food... just a total gem and a place I'm glad I got to visit.
