At Artisan Bistro we always enjoy a great meal with outstanding service. The bartender is friendly and precise and the waitstaff are all attentive.
Don’t go here! As a foodie who has eaten at most places in Boston, I can say this was one of the worst dining experiences in awhile. The Ritz Carlton should be ashamed to have their name on a place churning out tired chicken and flavorless sides, exorbitant princesses. The room was nice looking, but what’s the point. Go elsewhere!
I had the eggs Benedict. They were cooked perfectly and delicious. My friends had the buffet. Seemed kind of a lot of money for your basic breakfast buffet
Daughter’s last Boston Ballet performance of the season...
Eugene is the best. Keep up the good job.
Artisan Bistro used to be our go-to place when we came into town to go to the Opera House. I think we're going to find a new place.
There were significantly fewer choices on the menu. I recall beef tartar, cheese plate... Now it was a few choices and nothing truly unique. We weren't even given a wine list when we sat down. The main course had greens that were so slaty they were inedible.
I'm sad. This was a great place to eat, and now we don't think it's worth the money.
The food was outstanding. We had the vichyssoise which was served warm. Best potato soup ever! I had the roast chicken which was delicious and my husband had the scallops which he said were delicious with the risotto.
They did not serve a lunch menu until 3pm, only bruch, with the exception of certain salads. The salads were very poor, not tasty and not looking nice. The table was not ready when we arrived, although we made reservations through opentable and confirmed our reservation as well. I expected much more from Ritz- Carlton, do not have lunch here.
I had brunch with 4 friends at artisan Bistro on a late Saturday morning. I’ve always liked this restaurant as it is usually not busy and has a good menu and a wonderful location with very large, sunny windows.
The food was absolutely marvelous and I also heard good reviews on the Bloody Marys from those in our parties that ordered them. :)
Only downside is that they seemed a little short-staffed as we waiting quite a long time for our food - it was worth it once it arrived though!
Loved it. Always do.
Quick bite before the theatre included the hamburger on brioche (delicious), the flatbread (very good), a salad and two cocktails. Service was friendly but super slow.
Loved the service level and location. Food was excellent. The only things preventing me from giving this five stars across all categories were: (1) web site didn't make it clear that Brunch was served on Saturday NOT the lunch menu, so that was disappointing; (2) noise level was a bit high because of crying children, which I know can't be helped, but was a distraction nonetheless.
A great place to grab a delicious meal after a show. Creative cocktails and plenty of menu options. Service was very good. We will be back.
It's OK standard buffet brunch but not the usual quality you would associate being in The Ritz Hotel of Boston.
Breakfast pastry does not appear to be baked fresh and looks like was taken from a container and defrosted from a generic supply warehouse :-(
So eat everything but the carbs which most people avoid anyhow.
I think i ordered poorly. The harissa cauliflower was not cooked enough. It was hard and while spicy, the dish was boring. I love crispy, browned cauliflower and this dish didn’t come close. The gnocchi were heavy globs, not the light puffs I was hoping for. And the dish was not hot. The scallops were, on the other hand, cooked perfectly. There were lots of women by themselves, dining on their own and since that is often me when I’m on a business trip, I noticed they were well taken care of and the servers were all attentive. The staff was great—food was meh.
Very expensive, with a very limited menu. not good value at all, poor service, very slow and inaccurate.
Shared a wonderful dinner for two at the Artisan Bistro. The service and food were amazing.
Enjoyed the food and the first class service by the staff. Great place to wine and dine before the Ballet! Keep up the good work!
Very good. Salmon and flat bread excellent. Went before a show.
Service was terrible. We were first seated at a dirty table. Then moved with no apology. My friend had the buffet and I ordered a breakfast sandwich from the menu (fried egg with veggies on toast). She had finished her meal by the time my sandwich cane 30 minutes later. Our waiter disappeared and never offered us coffee or tea refills. Horrible experience.
The waiter was very friendly but overworked. Everything was too slow. Pretty space, but it wasn't worth the cost.
Too many televisions, the burgers were skinny flat and dry, my French fries were undercooked. The hostess was lackluster but the waiter provided superb service. Not what I expect from the Ritz Carlton renowned the world over for top level everything. Disappointing and not at the top of my list for next time.
Went pre-theater for the Ballet at The Opera House, with my mother. I mentioned this in my reservation, and although we were running a bit behind due to traffic, we were right on time. The service was warm and prompt, the food was very good, and my only constructive feedback would be the atmosphere. I expected a bit more upscale for a Ritz Carlton dining experience. Definitely stark, but not crisp... needs a facelift after a short period of time.
Waiter, Hermand, was knowledgeable and extraordinaryly nice.
Terrible menu and awful food
Service was surprisingly less than competent. Food was creative and well prepared. Not quite a Ritz quality experience.
Always a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Artisan Bistro.
Great place with great service for a lunch meeting.
Limited menu but great offerings. We both had the salmon....disappointed that it was way overcooked as it was a lovely piece of fish. Everything else - appetizers, sides and dessert -- all delicious and perfectly prepared.
We took friends to Artisan Bistro for Sunday Brunch. The wait staff was professional, friendly and pleasant. The food was very good. The brunch offerings included a buffet as well as a la carte. We all had the buffet and it was excellent. The only nit was one of our guests found the Belgian waffles to be stale, having sat under a warming lamp for an indeterminate amount of time. The omelette station, however, was just great, as was the bagel station.
Service was outstanding. He made the evening very enjoyable.
Brunch at Artisan Bistro before our theatre engagement was outstanding. Service and food was great and the location was very convenient to the Opera House.
Incredible Service from the greeting right through the meal
Kind of expensive & booths for 2 - too cramped 👎
Dinner before theater.
Fabulous food and outstanding service!
pleasant staff, great food, good drinks and very nice ambience - convenient to the movies and theatre district
I don't even know how to approach this. I have been going there for years - actually since well before it changed to Artisan Bistro. I go an average of 10x/year. The food is always great, the service is great. The last time I was there, my steak was undercooked and they took it back and tried to get me a new one - but I was in a rush and didn't have time to wait. They charged me for it anyway!
This time, the were offering the pre-fix menu. I ordered the steak (again) and of course there was an upcharge - I ordered the appetizer, but I didn't order dessert. Because I didn't order dessert, they charged me the pre-fix price with the upcharge AND charged me additionally for the appetizer. It took a long time to try to correct this mistake and of course, they initially blamed it on me because I didn't want the dessert!
I am not sure I will go back, which is disappointing considering I have LOVED this place for a long time.
Friend got the chowder and she didn't like it. Ate one bite and then set it aside. Server cleared without mentioning that she didn't eat it. Noone came to ask how the food was at any point in the meal. Other friend didn't like the tomato soup and grilled cheese. We didn't want to make a big deal but we ended up spending $200 on lunch for 5 of us and it wasn't good and noone there seemed to care.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I totally recommend experiencing Sunday brunch.
