It's OK standard buffet brunch but not the usual quality you would associate being in The Ritz Hotel of Boston.
Breakfast pastry does not appear to be baked fresh and looks like was taken from a container and defrosted from a generic supply warehouse :-(
So eat everything but the carbs which most people avoid anyhow.
I think i ordered poorly. The harissa cauliflower was not cooked enough. It was hard and while spicy, the dish was boring. I love crispy, browned cauliflower and this dish didn’t come close. The gnocchi were heavy globs, not the light puffs I was hoping for. And the dish was not hot. The scallops were, on the other hand, cooked perfectly. There were lots of women by themselves, dining on their own and since that is often me when I’m on a business trip, I noticed they were well taken care of and the servers were all attentive. The staff was great—food was meh.
Very expensive, with a very limited menu. not good value at all, poor service, very slow and inaccurate.
Shared a wonderful dinner for two at the Artisan Bistro. The service and food were amazing.
Enjoyed the food and the first class service by the staff. Great place to wine and dine before the Ballet! Keep up the good work!
Very good. Salmon and flat bread excellent. Went before a show.
Service was terrible. We were first seated at a dirty table. Then moved with no apology. My friend had the buffet and I ordered a breakfast sandwich from the menu (fried egg with veggies on toast). She had finished her meal by the time my sandwich cane 30 minutes later. Our waiter disappeared and never offered us coffee or tea refills. Horrible experience.
The waiter was very friendly but overworked. Everything was too slow. Pretty space, but it wasn't worth the cost.
Too many televisions, the burgers were skinny flat and dry, my French fries were undercooked. The hostess was lackluster but the waiter provided superb service. Not what I expect from the Ritz Carlton renowned the world over for top level everything. Disappointing and not at the top of my list for next time.
Went pre-theater for the Ballet at The Opera House, with my mother. I mentioned this in my reservation, and although we were running a bit behind due to traffic, we were right on time. The service was warm and prompt, the food was very good, and my only constructive feedback would be the atmosphere. I expected a bit more upscale for a Ritz Carlton dining experience. Definitely stark, but not crisp... needs a facelift after a short period of time.
Waiter, Hermand, was knowledgeable and extraordinaryly nice.
Terrible menu and awful food
Service was surprisingly less than competent. Food was creative and well prepared. Not quite a Ritz quality experience.
Always a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Artisan Bistro.
Great place with great service for a lunch meeting.
Limited menu but great offerings. We both had the salmon....disappointed that it was way overcooked as it was a lovely piece of fish. Everything else - appetizers, sides and dessert -- all delicious and perfectly prepared.
We took friends to Artisan Bistro for Sunday Brunch. The wait staff was professional, friendly and pleasant. The food was very good. The brunch offerings included a buffet as well as a la carte. We all had the buffet and it was excellent. The only nit was one of our guests found the Belgian waffles to be stale, having sat under a warming lamp for an indeterminate amount of time. The omelette station, however, was just great, as was the bagel station.
Service was outstanding. He made the evening very enjoyable.
Brunch at Artisan Bistro before our theatre engagement was outstanding. Service and food was great and the location was very convenient to the Opera House.
Incredible Service from the greeting right through the meal
Kind of expensive & booths for 2 - too cramped 👎
Dinner before theater.
Fabulous food and outstanding service!
pleasant staff, great food, good drinks and very nice ambience - convenient to the movies and theatre district
I don't even know how to approach this. I have been going there for years - actually since well before it changed to Artisan Bistro. I go an average of 10x/year. The food is always great, the service is great. The last time I was there, my steak was undercooked and they took it back and tried to get me a new one - but I was in a rush and didn't have time to wait. They charged me for it anyway!
This time, the were offering the pre-fix menu. I ordered the steak (again) and of course there was an upcharge - I ordered the appetizer, but I didn't order dessert. Because I didn't order dessert, they charged me the pre-fix price with the upcharge AND charged me additionally for the appetizer. It took a long time to try to correct this mistake and of course, they initially blamed it on me because I didn't want the dessert!
I am not sure I will go back, which is disappointing considering I have LOVED this place for a long time.
Friend got the chowder and she didn't like it. Ate one bite and then set it aside. Server cleared without mentioning that she didn't eat it. Noone came to ask how the food was at any point in the meal. Other friend didn't like the tomato soup and grilled cheese. We didn't want to make a big deal but we ended up spending $200 on lunch for 5 of us and it wasn't good and noone there seemed to care.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I totally recommend experiencing Sunday brunch.
Eugene, our waiter for the evening, was very attentive, polite, and did not make us feel rushed. His recommendations for wine were also well-chosen. I'd love to have him as a waiter again.
We were there for a pre-Nutcracker lunch with two children (young ladies). It was perfect because the brunch buffet was still available and that completely satisfied the six year old. Our server was most accommodating and the experience couldn't have been better.
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. A member of our group has a severe gluten allergy. The chef guided us through the Christmas Day buffet options and told us which items had wheat/gluten and which did not. I asked for wild mushrooms for my deconstructed Beef Wellington and about 5-6 minutes later the chef came to my table with some cooked for me. The desserts were incredible and the fresh fruit was also delightful.
I made a reservation for Christmas brunch for 3 people. We arrived a bit early but were seated right away. I thought the brunch would be a buffet style with breakfast and lunch options. Turns out breakfast was only off the menu and then they had a buffet style for a few lunch items and a carving station. Because we were seated at the end of the breakfast hours we got to 'sneak' into the chef made omlette station and had some delish bacon and sausage before they broke it down. Also went back to the carving station for the most amazing beef filet I have ever had. Service was quick, ever present without being annoying, and given with a smile. Even my fussy hubby said his food was a 10 out of 10. I was very pleased with the whole experience.
Our waiter didn’t care to take our picture , just one shot and he just gave back our phone with no interest at all. I am very dissapointed with him. And the picture he took so out of angle
Great lunch after the Nutcracker. Sandwiches were really good . Lobster salad was not as good. Still great lunch.
The staff was very attentive and personable. We all enjoyed our entrees and would recommend the short rib pasta.
Excellent from start to finish!
My wife and I arrived nearly an hour late due to heavy traffic, but they were happy to hold our reservation for us. We had a quiet, comfortable semicircular booth by the wall. The wait staff were pleasant, helpful, and attentive. Our food was served promptly (but not rushed) so we could get to the theater on time. All the dishes were creative and delicious. Only criticism: We expected it to be pricey but were a bit surprised that two glasses of cranberry juice and two cups of coffee added $35 to the bill. Overall a very satisfying experience and we’re likely to return for another special occasion.
I took my office there to celebrate the holidays and the end to a good year and to experience Ritz Carlton service. They delivered on every level and my team was able o experience first hand what great service looks, sounds and feels like.
Prices remained high, drinks were very slow, and waiter missed a plate instruction; but he was quick to repair it and very attentive otherwise; we could hear ourselves (on a Friday night); and the choice and preparation of the food were superb: we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and will be back for special occasions.
Great spot for a holiday treat with a friend. Also good for a nice meal after viewing movie next door.
Eugene was our server and was absolutely wonderful! The ambience was lovely and the food was delicious but over priced for the portion size.
