Arthur's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Last year I was looking around for a nice place to celebrate my wife and I's 1 year anniversary, we found Arthur's and loved it, we looked forward to going there again this year and we were not disappointed. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was to perfection. Looking forward to many more times and memories in this place.
We chose Arthur's for a joint birthday celebration with close friends from Houston. We wanted them to enjoy one of the top restaurants in North Texas. And on Saturday night we were not disappointed. The food was great, the service superb (Henry) and the atmosphere perfect.
It could not have been better. Arthur's has several different areas to meet the needs of any diner. Quiet conversation (near the fireplace), "to be seen" (main dinning area) and "let's party and enjoy the music" ( beautiful bar area) - and all have access to the great food an drink.
Special place owned and serviced by special people.
One of the best dining experiences. Great food and wine selection and our server Mike was fantastic. There when you needed him but never hovering. Ended up dining from the restaurant week menu and I have to say, the best restaurant week food ever. Our first time at Arthur's but definitely not our last
Service is exceptional and food is very good. Was a bit disappointed in two things, that although Restaurant Week listing and voucher said they offered extra course with voucher they did not. Waiter said they made the decision not to participate at the last minute. One of the menu options was Lamb Oso Bucco which my husband wanted to order. Waiter said they ran out of it the night before and new batch was not yet ready.
We came because of the live music and dancing offered in an upscale restaraunt. The band was in the bar only. We were not aware we would not be able to enjoy the music. But when I asked our waiter about the music he said, "oh, the muscian went on vacation." There was a later band from 830 pm that we saw as wew ere leaving but it was only enjoyable in the bar. The place needed a face liftand updated remodel. The place looked like the haunted mansion from Disney World. The salmon was overcooked and dry. We were there on a week night and the waiter was always somewhere else and not attentive at all. There were plenty of wait staff but ours was always looking elsewhere and not helpful. We will not return. I included in the reservation, we were celbrating a birthday, but it was never mentioned.
Our waiter appeared to be a little flustered. He brought the wrong dessert. He hurried away from our table before we could tell him. waited several minutes and then when he came with the wrong dessert we had to wait another 5 minutes for the correct one.
The person seated at the table next to us was obnoxious and constantly yelling explatives to talk over the noise in the restaurant. I had enough and we abruptly left.
We usually have a great experience....this time.....not so much
Great restaurant, wonderful staff. I had the ribeye, soooo delicious and tender. All the wait staff work together so you constantly have your watered filled. After a fine dinner, we sat in their bar area to enjoy music and did some dancing. It was an amazing experience.
Service was excellent
Great presentation and knowledge
We went for rest week
Champagne Brie soup was fantastic
The crab cake is very good would have been excellent but wasn't browned enough for my preference
However my husband ordered steak and said it was delicious
Dessert I wasn't very impressed with very so so
I will return again I enjoyed the evening
Three couples went for Restaurant Week to try it out. Tried the $8 peach martini special (excellent) and the crab cake (very good) to start, then had a glass of $8 pinot grigio wine (good) with the salmon (very good), and finished with the key lime pie (good, but I like mine more limey/tart). My husband started with the champagne brie soup (excellent), then had the osso bucco (excellent), and finished with the Grand Marnier crème brulee (very good). They have little alcoves that you can close off with a velvet curtain if your party is 2-4 people, but if you have 6 or more in your party, then you are in pretty tight quarters out in the middle of the aquarium area. Our waiter was a bit loquacious, but overall the service was very good. Truthfully, if I'm going to pay premium prices, I'm probably going to go elsewhere, but I'm glad we tried it once.
My husband enjoyed most of his food, which did look very good. We began with the lobster cocktail . Presentation was great, however, we both agreed it did not have much flavor, and was not worth $25.00.
My next course was the mozzarella /tomato salad. The pesto was not good, and the quality of cheese was poor.
I ordered the 8oz filet, as the waiter said beef was their specialty . When he brought it out, we both agreed it looked much smaller than 8oz, and just did not look appetizing, as the mashed potatoes did not either. The taste of the filet was very bland. My entire dinner was very dissapointing. I would not return . The place is pretty, but my meal was below average & overpriced.
