We were able to catch a Private Room. Sensitive yet effective wait staff, warm setting, oolala!
The restaurant is really beautiful, and the waiter was very good and did not hover too much. Just checked on us in a timely manner and was very responsive when we needed him. This was a special occasion, and I highly recommend it to others! After we ate, they reserved us a table in the bar, where we enjoyed dancing. It was a full house and very fun end to the evening!!
Nice time, old steak house ambience...light was low, which we like.
Have been going to Arthur's for years! Excellent wait staff, great specials. Wide, nice selection of each menu category.
Had to wait 20 min for a table reservation 3 weeks in advance
Not sure who to blame—the restaurant or Open Table—but neither informed us that the restaurant offered ONLY a fixed price and very limited menu for dinner the night of our reservation. We were looking forward to offerings shown on their menu as posted on Open Table, but got virtually none of them. In addition, the last thing we wanted to do that evening was spend $85 per person for a limited three course meal. We rarely,i if ever, order dessert and would prefer to have spent that kind of money enjoying a great steak at Ruth’s Chris. The food offered was so-so. The House champagne Brie soup delicious, but otherwise all else was just good, not worth $85 a person. The dessert we had as part of the three courses was creame brûlée and it had the texture more of a tapioca pudding—very disappointing. Most of all, we were disappointed that no one advised us beforehand of the fact that we would have to spend what we did and have very limited choices of what to eat.
I took my wife there for Valentine's Day because the reviews I read said Arthur's was romantic and elegant. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was wonderful. It was truly romantic and elegant. The service was top notch. There was also a band playing a mix of good dance songs, and they have a large dance floor. They also have a covered patio with a nice fire pit.
I recommend Arthur's for a nice evening.
Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day at 8:15pm, but wasn’t seated until 9:00pm - pretty sure the host skipped over us. Nice bar, live music, and classy environment. Was not expecting a set menu, but the food was very good. I would recommend it.
Visited for Valentine's Day with a fixed menu. Arthur's Shrimp Salad was excellent; one of the best I've had. The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly but smaller than expected. My wife's Medallion of Beef Oscar was done to a perfect medium-rare, as requested. It was very tender and tasty. The only reason not to give the food five-stars was the Creme Brulee desert. It was overcooked and rubbery.
The Service was Excellent. Our waiter explained all the specials and also all the flavors that it brought out. The Champagne Brie soup was the best soup I had had in years. The main dishes were cooked to perfection and the menu had a great variety. Well done
Always enjoy our visits to Arthur's. They had a steak and lobster three course dinner which we both got. excellent! Hamid provided exceptionally attentive service. We love happy hour too.
The only negative was that the booth was uncomfortable for our backs. Seat a little deep for short of stature. Could not lean back and had no back support.
Great steak and seafood. Service slow between provided bread and ordering. Dining Staff was also strangely cold and distant from their patrons.
Very strange dated and distant vibe and ambiance from the staff and attitude of the place. Albeit a Tuesday night, bar area was essentially empty, and only about 9 tables occupied and the quasi-live recording assisted bar music was bad 70-80s easy listening from area singers who probably been singing there for 20-30 years...killing me softly comes to mind.
Night and Day contrast to the energy and vibe, patronage, and general excitement and celebration of food from the staff at Kenny’s Just a block away, where even on Tuesday nights the place is packed.
Given the quality of food and style of their decor at Arthur’s it’s a shame because it feels like their best days have past...I think they may have to consider bringing in younger host, bar, and wait staff and some how attract more millennials...I am 47 (Gen X) and I felt the average age of their customer was 10 years older than me.
When walking into the restaurant was impressed of what it look like but very early on was disappointed. The tables were too close to each other and every time a waiter needed to go to another table they were bumping into our chairs or chairs at the other tables.
There wasn't a large crowd on the night I dined there but the service was super slow.
The leather in the booths were both torn and warn out.
Was very disappointed.
We were pleasantly surprised after our first visit to Arthur's. We sat right next to the fireplace for a cozy and romantic feel. Old fashioned vibe was a nice change from other steak houses. We were celebrating my husband's birthday but we will definitely be going back for date nights!
Food and service were outstanding. However, I was disappointed with extremely watered down Old Fashioned I ordered. Overall though, great food, excellent service!
Food was amazing, restaurant is old world beautiful, atmosphere was relaxing and the service was impeccable. Sorry to just be visiting the area and not be able to go more often. Thank you for an amazing dining experience.
Arthur's was top notch in every way. The service and food were outstanding. I will certainly be recommending Arthur's to family and friends.
We dined at Arthur’s for New Years Eve. We requested a booth when we made the reservation, and we did get the requested booth. The NYE menu was adequate for prix fixe, but the dessert was not up to par as it seemed to be a pre-made créeme brûlée, possibly pre-packaged or pre-frozen. The restaurant was quite noisy, which is not surprising for NYE. However, when midnight arrived, there was no offer of any celebratory sparkling wine...we toasted with water! I would have thought that a restaurant of the caliber and reputation that I thought Arthur’s had, they could have stepped up to the occasion and treated their patrons to one glass of even a less expensive sparkling!
In the past we have enjoyed dinners, and drinks in the bar, at Arthur’s. However, we were very disappointed in this New Year celebration. We would absolutely NOT do it again, nor would we recommend it to anyone else for NYE. Unfortunately, another couple was with us this night. They had never been to Arthur’s before, and they too were very disappointed.
There is no other experience for adults than Arthur’s. The atmosphere makes you feel transported to a European country. The wait staff is incredibly professional. The live music in the background is just the right volume and taste. Although the prices are more than an average restaurant, being able to then transition to the beautiful bar and enjoy dancing with no cover charge makes this an affordable date night. You cannot help but leave feeling pampered and amorous!
Always look forward to an Arthur’s dining experience. Never disappointed.
We have been here for Thanksgiving and to celebrate a birthday. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Highly recommend it. They even put a candle near my dessert and wrote happy birthday in caramel sauce.
We went to Arthurs's to celebrate our anniversary. I shared this info when I made the reservation, however the wait staff never acknowledged our request or even ask if we were celebrating anything. The food and service was great. We did have a Questionable event when we used a gift card to partially pay the bill. He informed us we could not use All of the gift card on the check. We gave him the gift card ($50.00) and a credit card. He presented us with six different checks. The amount on the first 2 was $40.00 (gift card), the second 2 was 84.00, the third 2 was $29.00. It seemed like there was duplicates. This seemed very strange. He told us to sign the 3 where the amount was circled. What?? The amounts all totaled was correct for the meal, however we have never experienced anything like this before. He told us restaurants were doing this because people used gift cards (total amount) and did not tip. The server does not decide the gratuity. He seemed frustrated because we questioned this. We tip according to the service. This is not a good memory of our anniversary dinner. We still tipped 18 %. I question this behavior. It will be awhile before we return to Arthur's.
We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate a special occasion. A great choice recommended by Trip Advisor.
Very old school warm steakhouse with lovely decor. There is a side area with live music. Waiters were helpful. Our seat was near kitchen; not great due to lots of action with waiters but we made a late reservation for a weekend night. Staff was experienced and warm. They had these cool private cabanas/ booths I would reserve next time. A nice spot,,,
Me and my new husband were celebrating our new marriage and our server made our day special by providing us a private room. The food was awesome, but a bit on the pricey side. But we didn’t mind because the food paired with the service made its. Exceptional value. I would definitely return!
As usual Arthur's never fails to offer superior food, service and ambiance.
Treat yourself - ask for Henry and try the Sole.
As usual-- the food, service and setting make this a wonderful place to eat and drink with good friends.
The filet mignon is excellent. The service is outstanding
Attentive service. Food was excellent. Recommend the champagne brie soup, filet, and lobster.
