A memorable place for a light birthday dinner with delightful service
Great time. ArtBar has become my go to place for thanksgiving dinner when visiting Boston.
If it's busy it's pretty loud.
Short rib dinner was luke warm and the short rib was pretty dried out and stringy. disappointing meal.
Server was excellent. Attentive without being intrusive.
Food was seriously horrible. I don’t know how you manage to make brussel sprouts fried with bacon taste like a faint smell of trash, but they sure managed it.
This place is not a restaurant- it’s a hotel cafeteria- and a terrible one at it.
The vibe of this place was so odd. Weird, fake looking furniture, seemed like the servers didn’t really care. Just not worth it/overrated. Skip if you can
It was a let down. Read like it would be a better experience in the reviews and description on open table.
The dining room was very cold and staff were not able to adjust the temp. My beef short rib was lukewarm, but good. It was a Friday night and they essentially kicked us out at 10pm!
Delicious brunch with an amazing view of the Charles River!
Excellent food and service. Wish there were more and better patio heaters, would have enjoyed a table with a view.
Wonderful location with beautiful view. Food was great with a small variety to pick from. Makes the picking process much easier.
We were a large group and the service was superb and the hosts did everything to make this a memorable event. Everyone did have a great time! Thank you!
Great service, quality food, and best view in town!
A hidden gem. The outdoor dining area is right by the Charles.
Service was wonderful
Food was tasty and beautifully presented
Can’t wait to go again
Very lovely location with a great view of the Charles River from the patio. Excellent selection of items on the menu .. all quite good.
Great atmosphere ! Great service from Ricky and bartenders but our server a women unknown name was the worst. No acknowledgement, sat for 20 mins, finally went to bar to get drinks for the table. She was unfriendly and had zero customer service and did not appear to like people. Ricky was great and was helping her out, getting our drinks and such. I wrote on the credit slip Tip goes to Ricky.
We ate outside at the Bar.
The space was beautiful, but the lighting was harsh and awkward. Our servers rushed us and brought our entrees out before we had finished our appetizers. The food was good enough - prepared and cooked well, but definitely not worth the hotel price. Unless you’re staying at the Royal, I’d find somewhere else to go.
Enjoy view outside. Service good and menu items are good meal.
Wine costs too much:(
Food fresh and lovely:)
Everything was great except the crab cakes. All four were burnt and were overpowered by a fried breading and the taste of what appeared to be bacon fat. I could be wrong.
The views were simply spectacular! The service was wonderful and the food was yummy. Go for the sunset, you won't be disappoined.
Dinner with an amazing view! Sit on the patio outside and enjoy the best view of Boston. Excellent service. Main complaint is the small menu. My house salad topped with fresh lobster was delicious. We will return.
Excellent food and a great view of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. Our guests loved it!
Got really buggy at the end of the night. Other then that very good.
Our waitress was great. The food was a little bland (maybe a punch of salt needed)
Great view of River. Good service. Good good honors reservation time
Great early dinner sitting outside on the patio. Food was great, drinks looked great but tasted OK. Menu had a lot to offer and my party of 4 really enjoyed our meals.
very nice day. They got one of the orders wrong & took it off the bill, even though they did not need to...
We enjoy outdoor dining at the Sonesta, with great views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline.
It’s a great way to conclude a walk around the Esplanade and on the Cambridge side of the river. We enjoy a pitcher of sangria and the Art Bar burger. Ask for Rickie if you want top notch service.
The best view in town and the service is always excellent. In addition, the crab cakes and lamb bergers are great and my favorites. Good choice of wines also!
They made my birthday special. Thank you so much! Will be back.
We had a great time at ArtBar. Their patio has a great view of Boston across the river. Service was excellent...so was the food. There was plenty of parking on the street. Highly recommend for a relaxing dinner.
Not only was the food good it was presented " artistically" appropriate for being at The Art Bar.
Basic food cooked well with nice flavoring and presentation with excellent service.
I ordered hummus and pita along with a watermelon mule. Food was good. However, their service stinks.
We had a lovely Father's Day experience at the Art Bar. The day was lovely and we sat outside. The service and food were outstanding!
Excellent vegan bowl and crab cake. The steak-frites was okay. Raspberry mojito was outstanding! The outdoor patio has a roof that covers up in case of raining, which is great in the unpredictable weather in New England. Right by the water and with a great "by the sea" feeling.
Our waiter was awesome, he gave us great advice, polite, efficient, and friendly, but without trying too hard. We'll definitely go back!
The food was okay, not great. The drinks for terrible. Gin and tonic had flat tonic. Had to send back a Paloma that tasted terrible.
The setting is lovely for sitting out on a nice evening. The food was fair. We had a 6 pm reservation and they had already run out of the lobster roll. Really? The menu is very limited. My vegan bowl was ok.
It was a birthday celebration. I enjoyed the setting, but I don't think we'd go back again.
Overall great experience! We sat outside on the cute patio that overlooks the Charles. The dry rub wings were AMAZING and lots of fun cocktails.
