Wow - what a disappointment. I'd been to ArtBar before and was happy to suggest it for a lunch gathering of coworkers in from out of town. What a mistake that was. It would've been really nice to get a heads up that we'd be dining in a CONFERENCE ROOM IN A HOTEL - not in the restaurant.

After being redirected down hallways to a conference room (the breakfast buffet was still set up from the morning), we were seated by someone who somehow kept a straight face, and then were promptly ignored for the next 20 min. Shocking considering there was one other group in the whole room.

Food was fine, but incredibly disappointed in the lack of service, much less acknowledgement of what we'd be walking into. Instead it felt like the crew tried to pretend it was business as usual.

I won't be back.

It took over an hour to get our second course and when we did receive it the food had clearly been reheated. Portions were cold while other portions were too hot. No one addressed the issue until the food was ready so we were left to sit wondering for an hour what was happening. We were ready to walk out when the food finally came so we stayed to finish. It was a 4 course prefix menu. The portions were oversized and the kitchen was off timing. Food was not good enough quality to make up for the poor service.

Absolutely ruined our Thanksgiving. The ambiance was 2nd rate Ground Round chain restaurant set in a convenience store; the food was really bad -- mushy oily stuffing, unseasoned sweet potatos, rhe cranberry sauce had NO SUGAR --really truly terrible. My daughter felt so sick from the horrible dressing and the very loud space that we asked them to Pack our meal. They packed
Up the horrible mushy vegetables and didn't include any of the dessert-- the only edible dish. Never again. Never.

My husband and I drove in from the North Shore to dine for the Thanksgiving Dinner. When I read that the stuffing/dressing was made with brioche, I was excited. The price of $50/pp was in the middle of our price range, so we booked it.

The meal was delicious for the most part and the brioche stuffing was even better than anticipated. The turkey was the bomb- thick slices of white meat and smaller pieces of dark- also so tender. But no bread rolls? I admit, we should have asked why.

The dessert pies were very disappointing. The pie crust on one was rancid tasting. The bacon caramel sauce was a great idea, but was not tasty for some reason.

The whole staff was pleasant and we drove home happy and thankful.

My wife and I have had brunch/lunch at Art Bar on numerous occassions and have always found the food delicious, the ambiance relaxing, and the service excellent. I highly recommend “Texas in Cambridge” from the brunch menu and my wife has great things to say about the salads. We especially enjoy the patio during any of the warm months from spring through fall.

One of the few places where you can sit right on the water at this part it is the river beautiful view of the Boston skyline, boats the science museum. Indoor or outdoor dining ...both has views. very nice selection of Boston favorites salads and a good cocktail list. Only downside is when they do validate for parking is still going to cost you $15.

Had a higher expectation about this place. The overall ambiance was good, not a fancy place, not too simple either. Our waiter was quite nice and very attentive.

However, the food is below the expected standard for a place like that. Menu is limited and choices are quite unsophisticated, plain I might say. Food wasn't bad , but definitively not remarkable. Shrimp cocktail was on the skinny side and lacking taste for what we expected. Blackened fish tacos were subpar and I would think that the cook was sort of tired for the day since the garnishes were massive chunks as it came from the ground, plus a taco without cilantro is simply not a taco... it was a good piece of fish in between two small tortillas, but hardly a taco.

Drinks were also ok, not worth a second trip to try. SIgnature cocktail was 'meh', slightly pretentious as in trying multiple flavors to practically cancel themselves...

Would I go again? maybe, for some beers and a great view of the Charles River.

Service was great. We ordered lobster bisque, not only was it nasty, it was entirely to thick and the wrong color. My mother sampled and instantly sent back. The lobster rolls have a bigger piece of lettuce than lobster. and the lobster wasn't fresh. I was very chewy. Never again. A waste of my $73

This restaurant is a part of a hotel and it kind of feels that way. We had a nice time, the service was good, and the view is great, but I don't think I would go out of my way to go. We went because we were staying in the hotel. For that purpose it was great! Then again, we are vegetarians and while we were very happy to see options there for us, I generally seek out places that have more than a few options for me. Folks looking for seafood might have a different opinion.

We came here for a birthday celebration. Overall, this was an awful choice and nothing we ordered came out correctly.
The meal start off with our appetizer (corn dogs) being served with long (human) hairs tangled in the food. We were assured that this would be free of charge and another plate would be out shortly. Next, we received the 'pickles n' dip', which came without any pickles to dip in the hummus. At this point it's been 20 minutes since our first appetizer was taken and we still haven't received a replacement.
We ordered a burger cooked medium with a side of sweet potato tots. 20 minutes later the burger was served with the wrong side. Our waitress took the whole plate to switch the fries. She came back 10 minutes later with the same plate and told us to eat that burger and she would send out a separate side with the sweet potato tots. The burger was cooked rare, not medium, so only half was eaten. At this point we asked for the manager. In the meantime, the sweet potato tots came out, but did not come with the garlic aioli sauce it was supposed to have.
The manager came over and we explained how each dish we ordered was incorrect in some way. She promised us the meal was free of charge (although we didn't eat anything we were served). They came out with some free dessert for us.
After eating the dessert, we still had not received our first appetizer. As we left, the garlic aioli finally came for the sweet potato tots.
Bad food, service was poor.
