Art of the Table
Amazing service from Taylor and Lily made the dinner even more special!
The chillest restaurant crew I have ever seen. Everyone was friendly and took time to explain things, discuss the food and it's preparation. And the food was art!
This was a tremendous evening.
I wss very excited for this dinner and I have to say I was disappointed.
Overpriced for the quality.
Service was not fantastic.
Food had great pieces, but also pieces I wouldn't eat again.
Excellent food which we are still raving about, wonderful receptionist and staff! Our only issue was our main server. The restaurant was not too busy and we were only three people in our table. Before we began our orders. I politely asked if he could take a photo before the table became cluttered and he said he wanted to get our orders in, fine we said. When he came back, I asked again and he put it off twice. I don’t know what that was about! Finally, I asked the receptionist and she graciously accommodated us. He seemed rushed but did answer our questions, and explained the courses up to a point, but would walk off while talking, his voice trailing off. He was polite to a point but seemed to be put off or indifferent with us. Maybe he was bored with his job? I don’t mean to single him out but it did affect our overall experience since we are talking about him right now. He did come back with answers when we had questions about the wine and answered our questions regarding the courses. When you do a tasting, there is a rapport that you establish with your server in connection with the meal. It is part of the overall experience. It must have been an off night for him or something. He would be an excellent waiter if he just engaged his customers a little more and had a little joy in his step like the rest of your staff. That would have made the whole experience worthwhile and an unforgettable one!!!
Everything was amazing, the food was exceptional and I loved every mouthful. The staff are friendly and happy and just overall was a great experience.
Met a lifelong friend here for dinner on his suggestion. Service was impeccable and knowledgeable about everything. Most of the courses were slam dunks and all were adventurous. Highly recommended.
Very special experience. Food was exquisite. Spacing between courses was perfect. All around an outstanding meal.
I took my partner to Art of the Table for his birthday. Art of the Table has amazing food that looked and tasted amazing! The food on the tasting menu was definitely worth the cost. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who is interested in a fine dining experience using local ingredients found around Seattle. Additionally, the staff were very polite and knowledgeable about the food. The staff were attentive and personable. I would definitely come here again.
One of the waitress was horribly unkind - NO eye contact, she spit information about the food and quickly leave the table. There was no interactions, but only bad attitude.
INCREDIBLE! Every morsel was off the charts amazing. And the level of customer service was impeccable and flawless. We will be back again and again and again.
Went for Valentine's Day. The tasting menu was decent but for $130+ 20% gratuity it just felt like an average restaurant trying to pass off a high end tasting menu. Overall the dishes tasted good - just maybe a tad overpriced for what it was.
The food was very good.
Go to see what the chef and team there are creating for you. If you're not there to be surprised and delighted by the chef's choices for you, you're at the wrong place.
Wonder!! Best restaurant in Seattle, by far.
Pricing wasn’t clear on the menu and what they told us wasn’t the price they ended up charging us, they brought us the wrong bottle of (more expensive) wine and the food was just ok.
Amazing place. Did the vegetaarian tasting and it blew my mind.
Loved the whole experience. We went there to celebrate a birthday and they did an amazing job! Also loved that they had a pescetarian and vegetarian option for us upon our request. The wine pairing and food were amazing! Can't wait to come back again.
Loved our meal! From the amuse Bouche to the beautiful dessert! We have always loved coming to Art of the Table and look forward to our next visit!
Staggeringly good food. Expect your palate to be challenged, but never assaulted. Much more laid-back setting and service that similarly high-end restaurants. Wonderful!
The food was good, but not great. Usually for $550 for two people I expect really amazing food (and having been to many Michelin restaurants, this does not compare). The wagyu steak was tough; first round of steak was returned to the chef, while the second round was edible, but still tougher than I would have liked. Some of the pickled veggies were almost overwhelmingly strong. Interesting, but not wonderful. The dessert would have been much tastier if it weren't so salty.
Basically, good food, but not worth the price.
We expected this restaurant to be GREAT. It wasn’t. We got a table totally cornered by a window on one side and a bar on the other. The waitress had to reach over us for everything. The food was good but nothing extraordinary and not worth the price. The wine glasses In the wine pairing came Pre-poured, something we have not seen before in a fine dining restaurant. They should be serve in front of the customer. We won’t be going again
You can taste different ingredients in every bite, but each one had solid good flavor. Every course was excellent and service was great.
We had a wonderful dinner celebration my wife's birthday. The food was great. The ambiance was casual cool. And the wait staff was very accommodating. Certainly not an inexpensive meal but worth enjoying on a special occasion.
My girlfriend and I decided to try the Art of the Table for date night. We love tasting menus.
Unfortunately, we had an uninteresting/generic experience at the Art of the Table and it was grossly overpriced.
Also found a hair strand baked into the bread (they comped $15 off the total bill of $690).
Food : Some dishes from the tasting menu were better than the others but there was nothing jaw dropping or interesting about the ingredients, preparation or presentation. The foie gras was perhaps the best dish and the pairing with the sherry worked well but the rest was quite forgettable.
Drinks : the wine pairings ($75) are decent but again, there’s nothing remarkable or memorable. It’s about 2 and half glasses of wine for the evening.
Service : The staff was polite but the whole experience was stilted, almost clinical. Again, this is fine in every other setting but I think there’s an opportunity here for the restaurant to really make this a personal experience.
Ambience : Generic setting. Generic lighting. Generic music (pandora station). Noise levels were fine.
Price to experience ratio: really poor. It can’t be justified.
Overall: We has a disappointing evening and do not recommend.
I’m specifically comparing this experience to others I’ve had. The one that comes to mind was at Joe Beef in Montreal. That meal was about $200 less than the Art of the Table and the food, experience was significantly superior to last night here at Art of the Table.
It was a good experience but not worth the cost. Our Waygu steak was gristly and we received no offer to remedy the situation when we mentioned it to our server and manager.
We did not like the food, definitely not value for money.
Food is mediocre. Nothing terribly extraordinary. The dishes seem more like an assault on your taste buds and less like fine dining.
The 7 course meal for New Years Eve was a symphony in it mouths. The service was exceptional.
Art of the Table has been on our list to try for a long time. We finally got around to it on 12/27/18. The food went beyond our expectations. The three of us all agreed that it was the best food experience we have had in Seattle in quite a while. Each course was perfection. The flavor combinations were brilliantly composed. The chef is a master with ingredients and interesting pairings. The arctic char with smoke mussels and delicata squash had such a complex profile. The quail stuffed with chorizo was exquisite. The carrot cake at the end was the most sublime dessert we have had in ages. I want to go back but I need to savor my experience for a while. It is rare to encounter something this divine.
Birthday dinner. Very special.
The food lacked taste and was over salted. The cocktails were terrible.
Super knowledgable and friendly Som. with amazing wine options, plus our server was kind and friendly to add to the food, which was superbly delicious and inventive. Went for our anniversary celebration and they made sure to make us feel special. Our dietary restrictions were handled with care and it never felt like our meal was less for it. I personally enjoyed this tasting menu more than Altura because it wasn't as heavy and I didn't feel overstuffed by the end.
Overall the food was beautiful and delicious! Out of the 7 courses only one, Sirloin tip, fell flat and seemed out-of-place. It was tough and underwhelming had Middle Eastern flavors which veered significantly in our opinion from the French and Italian fare we were enjoying so much up to that point. The service was top notch but relaxed which made for a fun evening out.
Exceptional. We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Art of the Table. We have even discussed during our meal to return during different times in the year to see how the menu expresses seasonality. Highly recommended.
Some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth! The amazing service just made the entire experience even better! 12/10
Surprise dinner for my wife’s birthday. The experience was top notch. Food was unbelievable. Excited to go back once the chief changes his menu. Wine pairing was spot on. We ate at the counter top which is a must for anyone who enjoys watching the cooks and watching people who have passion in preparing a meal just for you.
Dinner here was exceptional. The food and wine pairings were amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Will definitely return!
Art of the Table did not disappoint! Very interesting menu items and they were very accommodating to make the tasting menu vegetarian for my husband and I. Really impressed!
The food used to be really great , not as much any more.
