A modern take on the classic American steakhouse, Arroyo Chop House is one of only a few restaurants in Southern California that serves exclusively USDA Prime beef. This strikingly handsome restaurant, inspired by the Arts & Crafts architectural style for which Pasadena is famous, is clad in rich mahogany and the cozy booths are bathed in seductive light.

Our steaks are aged and hand cut daily and then perfectly seared in a 1,500 degree oven. Traditional steakhouse side dishes include creamed spinach, baked potatoes, asparagus spears with hollandaise sauce, and Arroyo Chop House's famous onion rings. We also offer live Maine lobster and fresh fish, Alaskan King Crab legs, fresh oysters, and shrimp. Compliment your meal with a bottle from our award-winning wine list and finish the night with one of our delicious desserts such as a Grand Marnier soufflé, warm apple pie, butterscotch pudding or chocolate pecan pie.

Impressed by the service staff. We were waiting to be seated when the hostess heard that it is birthday celebration. By the time we were seated, the table was already set for celebration, pretty orchids and bday card handwritten w/bday wishes. We're seated by the piano and the player serenaded all night. Amazing but standards that never changes or being compromised here. Creamy spinach and wagyu beef are the best and chocolate souffle were perfect too.
Love coming back here.

My husband and I came here to celebrate my birthday and had a great experience. Our waiter was very attentive and overall the service was stellar. I started off with oysters, which were perfect. My husband and I shared the Butter Lettuce and Goat Cheese salad, which was a little underwhelming. We ordered the special Tomahawk bone-in ribeye for two. It came out way too rare so we sent it back, and it came back perfectly cooked and utterly delicious. We had the garlic mashed potatoes and green beans for our sides and both were wonderful. I highly recommend the butterscotch pudding for dessert. Overall, a great meal and great experience!

This is my wife’s and mine favorite restaurant and we have always had “great” service and our last visit was a great enjoyment with perfect service, food was too.

Arroyo Chophouse never disappoints; it is always great! Love the Wagyu beef but all their steaks are wonderful. Great selection of sides and love the tableside Caesar Salad. Service is attentive but not too much. Hostesses are pleasant & helpful and the valet parkers remember you and are quick.
Altogether a great dining experience. Always busy even on a Tuesday evening & were using all rooms.
Highly recommend.

We were placed in a room with a business banquet, so the 20 people made our night kind of loud. Had to shout to talk to my gf for her birthday dinner.

We went for Dine LA and were treated like a 2nd class citizen. The server was notably uninterested and inattentive when we said that we'd like to do the Dine LA option. Food was good but not spectacular to put up with such poor service. We should've just gone to Roy's for the same price.

Really great hostess, ambience, and main course. The pork chop and filet mignon were both great, but the sides were just good, nothing exceptional. The other must have here is the soufflé. The service was mediocre as our waiter was inattentive and only came to bring food, and our $6 bread was cleared before they even asked if we were still working on it or if wanted to take it to They gave me orchids for my birthday as well as a little cupcake (which kind of looked slapped together and unappetizing). Overall, I think it weren’t for how well they do their meat, I wouldn’t come back.

ACH was been excellent for years. It is one of those places where from reception to picking up your car, they want to get it right. If you have an issue with your food, for example, steak not cooked enough, just tell your server — it is never a problem. The quality on every level has remained consistent and that is why for over 15 years we have continued to return without hesitation.
