A modern take on the classic American steakhouse, Arroyo Chop House is one of only a few restaurants in Southern California that serves exclusively USDA Prime beef. This strikingly handsome restaurant, inspired by the Arts & Crafts architectural style for which Pasadena is famous, is clad in rich mahogany and the cozy booths are bathed in seductive light.

Our steaks are aged and hand cut daily and then perfectly seared in a 1,500 degree oven. Traditional steakhouse side dishes include creamed spinach, baked potatoes, asparagus spears with hollandaise sauce, and Arroyo Chop House's famous onion rings. We also offer live Maine lobster and fresh fish, Alaskan King Crab legs, fresh oysters, and shrimp. Compliment your meal with a bottle from our award-winning wine list and finish the night with one of our delicious desserts such as a Grand Marnier soufflé, warm apple pie, butterscotch pudding or chocolate pecan pie.

First time here. Celebrated our wedding anniversary with our 10 year old daughter. They honored our request for a booth and when we got to our table there were flowers and a card. What a thoughtful gesture. Kenny our server was superb.
I need to find out if they make their own delicious sourdough bread My husband has the surf and turf that he thoroughly enjoyed. My lamb chops were fantastic and our daughter almost finished her rib eye! They also gave us a complimentary starter of barbecue shrimp. That was very good as well.
We will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful dinner on February 21 and a really terrific waiter.. I know that I will be spelling his name incorrectly. He is irish and he was just superlative. You should use him as a benchmark for all your waiters. Personable, knowledgeable, very, very good. High praise indeed.

WE had a reservation for 7:00pm but the party before us was camping on the table. The hostess was so calm and helpful. She located us another table, which was impressive due to how crowded it was, which made our night!!!! What a FABULOUS staff you have!!!!! The food was as consistent as always. It really is the BEST steaks in town!

Grew up in Pasadena but it was just my first time here to celebrate the mister's birthday. We had been going to Ruth's Chris for our special occasions last year so we wanted to change things up so we gave this place a try. The ambiance is nice but the table we were seated in was a small, 2-person booth and it felt a little claustrophobic and cramped once all the food came out. The service though out was decent; attentive, professional, friendly. The sourdough bread was a little bland and our starter of Ahi Tuna salad would have been great because the sear on the fish was excellent but the crust was too peppery. Both of us ordered filets and while they were cooked as ordered we both were surprised by the amount of fat on it (about two bites worth)--the other place I mentioned earlier had none at all. Our sides were the baked potato and creamed spinach, which were both okay.

Arroyo Chop House is our go to Special Occasion Restaurant.
From the “Old Fashion” Cocktails , the Fresh Fish and the Butterscotch
Pudding. It’s always a 5 star experience. Madison our server was great too😊
