Always a pleasure. Short but good Northwest wine list. Interesting menu with nice twists on old favorites. Lots of locally sourced product.
This was our first visit to Arrowleaf and the quality of service, menu of substantially local and seasonal ingredients, excellent wine and spirits list, timely and excellent preparation have put this restaurant on the top of our list for dining whenever we are in or near Winthrop.
We are regular at the Arrowleaf bistro even if we live 200+miles in Vancouver BC. We enjoyed riding our Motorcycle through the Cascade 20 highway and everytime we do we have dinner at the Arrowleaf. The food is always great and have to say that the Calamrs were the best one we ever tasted. It is a must
Thanks for the great service from Julia and the great hospitality from Joanne
We had an excellent meal again - Buttermilk fried rabbit and duck, Ceasar salad and sautéed morels. Decided we did not need dessert enough they look and sounded wonderful. We will go again if we are in the area.
Had dinner there on Mother’s Day. Outstanding local morel mushroom starter followed by roast duck for me and locally sourced lamb for my wife. Both dinners were delicious! Good wine list....and excellent desserts as well.
We have eaten at the Arrowleaf Bistro numerous times over the years. It is always wonderful -- great food, featuring local and seasonal ingredients. The service is outstanding. It never disappoints!
This is our favorite restaurant . We try to make it here as much as possible considering we drive from East Wenatchee. The service is excellent though Chef Jon is amazing. He uses a lot of seasonal ingredients. The menu changes often enough that we are able to always have something different! From appetizers to desserts we have never been disappointed! We were even surprised to see Kauai prawns on the menu which were sweet and delicious. If you are lucky enough to see morel mushrooms on the menu do not pass it up. We are so thankful for such a wonderful restaurant.
Could not order hamburger in dining room even though kids at next table were able to
Prices were extremely high for the area.
Once again Arrowleaf hits the mark. This is our go-to special occasion restaurant, and they never disappoint. The ambiance is quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The service is attentive and genuine. And the food is always fresh, fabulous, mostly local, and real. Love starting with the house salad with shallots. The fresh local asparagus with sage was spring on a dish. And the oysters, always fresh. And that's just salad and appetizers.
I most always chose the fresh fish, and this time the the halibut cheeks were a fantastic first. They were amazing. My husband had the whole beautiful trout. And we even had leftovers for lunch the next day.
The wine suggestions were perfectly paired, and we went home perfectly satiated and satisfied.
Best restaurant in the Methow Valley! Always fresh and very local- good portions and delicious!
Fresh, fresh, fresh and well served. Just the best. Save room for desserts.
The food is fine art. The staff are consistently gracious and attentive. It gives me great satisfaction to order exactly what I want on the menu and know that this delicious food is healthy for me, the local community and the earth.
Didn’t think the food could get any better, but once again attention to detail, local and really fresh food products and creative food prep has made a delicious meal. Service as always is above and beyond.
This was our second visit to this restaurant. I wish this experience was as good as our first visit but, we left very disappointed. The restaurant concept is great. My husband and I both support the use of locally sourced food.
My husband had the rabbit and really enjoyed it. I had the meatloaf which was perhaps the worst I have ever ate. The potatoes were cold, etc.. Our waitress was great. She offered to get me something else but I was not willing to take a chance on it. We were not charged for it. This restaurant needs to taste the food periodically, to make sure it meets restaurant quality food which the wait staff recommend. When I asked about the meatloaf I was told it was good.
RickR: This is the second iteration of the Arroweafg Resturant in Winthrop. The entire deal is simply wonderful. It is interesting that, though Winthrop is now a destination for westside visitors, most of the regular patrons of this restaurant are local, and happy to have such a quality place to eat.
Once again, The kitchen didn’t fail to impress. A delicious gem caesar, followed by pistachio crusted halibut, an Arrowleaf signature. Even an incredible gluten and dairy free dessert! What more could we ask?
Nice place, good service. $29 for meatloaf...pretty spendy place.
Wonderful experience. Very welcoming from the time we walked in the door. We were never rushed, hostess and server were informative about the specials offered from local vendors. Variety of dinner selections, some out of the ordinary, were all well described on the menu. Nice wine and spirits menus and the desserts were unbelievable! Everything was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and it's easy to carry on conversations at your table without disturbing the neighboring tables. It was one of the most pleasant dining experiences we have ever had.
This Bistro was recommended by the owner of the Glassworks in Winthrop. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a nice place for dinner. First we went to a movie at the Barnyard Cinema, then to dinner. (Reservations recommended for both places). Both the cinema and dinner were wonderful experiences. The filet mignon was from a local ranch, and everything was fresh and delicious!! The dessert was also wonderful!!
The Arrowleaf Bistro has a unique menu and the food is excellent. The selections were a good variety for most people’s taste. The menu changes so there is something new to try each time you go.
We started with the bar and then moved on to the dining room for inventive cuisine treats. The lamb was a particular favorite. Our dinner guests were still in the area the next day and returned with anticipation that was amply rewarded. Quite the find in Winthrop.
This is the best restaurant within 200 miles! They use local ingredients a lot. Drinks and wine are great. We love the comfortable atmosphere. The service is relaxed and great. The food is phenomenal.
These people can cook! Wonderful find in a beautiful place. Don't miss it.
Terrific. It has such a local Methow feel, yet the food is out of this world. The staff ducks in just often enough without being intrusive. The menu changes somewhat every visit, with a few totally reliable hold-overs. It's a special night out, for sure, but worth it.
Excellent service. Everyone enjoyed their meals. No complaints!
Very noisy! Calamari appetizer was rubbery and way too spicy. Portion size was large for an appetizer. Pork chop was very tasty and moist. Apricot tart dessert was good also.
ArrowLeaf is a lovely warm dining spot in Winthrop. The four of us had four different entrees and they were all well prepared and tasty. The service was attentive and informed. A prior visit allowed us to eat on the outside patio which is lovely. Recommend ArrowLeaf as a friendly and delicious dining experience.
Best restaurant in Winthrop Personal and great experience
Jon and Joan never fail to disappoint. Truly a great foodie option in the Methow Valley!
thank you as always! and for the special appetizer of calamari.....yum!
We had a reservation and then got stuck in cold wintry pass weather 45 minutes past our expected time. A sweet corner table was waiting for two weary travelers as well as delicious, well prepared food. We enjoyed every bite of our meal and we're so happy to be welcomed and fed. The service was friendly and recommendations reliable. We will go back every chance we get.
Always are favorite place to dine when we want an extra special dinner.
This would be a top rated restaurant no matter where it was located. Excellent, hard to decide, top quality items on the menu. 2 pages of WA & OR wines.
My husband and I were in the area for a quick weekend getaway and wanted a romantic, healthy dinner option. We made reservations, not sure of what to expect. To say that everything exceeded imagination is an understatement. The staff was friendly, informative and personable. The food was cooked to perfection (tender and flavorful) and we walked away feeling like this was one of the best dining experiences we had encountered - and we dine out frequently. If you are in the area and don’t give this restaurant a try, you are truly missing out.
We live in an area that is limited for nice places to eat. It is very hard to find a place that knows how to prepare fish well and get it in fresh! This restaurant does very well.
A wonderful find.
Been coming to this venue every time we are in Winthrop, which has been a more than a few years now. The food is always top notch and service is perfect!
Consistently great food and service. By far the best in Winthrop.
Creative menu with exceptional service and ambiance. My salmon was cooked to perfection, and my husband loved the lamb chops. We have been going to Arrowleaf since they opened in Winthrop 9 years ago, and Jon and Joanne never fail to disappoint.
Generally very good. Last September I was there celebrating a friend's birthday, and everything we had that night was great. This past week, the food was mediocre. I ate there 2 nights with friends. I like the ambience. Wait staff is great. Wine list nice, but unclear why they don't have more selections (by the glass) from Lost River Winery in Winthrop. I will probably go back, but this past week was very disappointing.
Wonderful food from excellent local sources. Not cheap, but totally reasonable for what you get. Great cocktails, good wine list, relaxed ambience like dining among friends. Our favorite restaurant in Winthrop by far.
