Arrivederci Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
This place has been on our list for awhile and definitely didn’t disappoint! Our whole experience was great and the food is delicious! Don’t miss the bread...it’s worth the calories 😊
We will be back and have added this to our “go-to” list of neighborhood spots!
Been here multiple times,,,the food is always great...brought in a guest from California and he said it was the best Italian food he’s ever had. I deviated from my normal choice and had the lasagna...have to admit, it was just OK...but with that being said it is the only “just OK” meal I’ve ever had here. The service is exceptional. The price is very reasonable
Recently in Awahtukee, AZ & thought we’d stop in to one of our former favorites when visiting there & it’s not the same as in years past. My husband had t one of the “specials” which was the filet mignon. The filet was excellent but came on a plate with pasta that had only olive oil, salt & pepper on it & a small cup of mushrooms for $30. The fillet was about 5 oz. . There was no vegetable garnish or salad included. I had the Cioppino which had several shrimp, a small piece of salmon & some clams & mussels on top of linguini. The sauce was pretty lackluster. I could have had it prepared “spicy” but I really wanted the flavor of the sauce to be a bit more robust. Our waiter/owner Max was very friendly & was busy bartending also which he juggled well. I think perhaps a seasoned Chef needs to be hired to bring Arrivederci back up to snuff.
This is typically one of our favorite restaurants, but this experience was not as good as the rest. We were there on a Friday night, and it was extremely busy and warm inside. People were actually taking their food to go because of the temperature in the building. Additionally, we asked for gluten-free pasta as we usually have and we were initially told that you were out of GF pasta. Then, after waiting a while, and talking to our waitress about why you wouldn't have gluten-free pasta on a busy Friday night, A more seasoned waiter overheard and went back to check in the kitchen. It ends up that you did have gluten-free pasta, but the chefs didn't want to cook it. We were told it would take 20 minutes to cook , which we were glad to wait , since I was told there's nothing else on the menu I could eat. Just a strange evening all the way around… The wait staff were nice though and I was glad we were finally able to get something to eat.
Arrivederci Trattoria is one of my favorite restaurants, but this trip was quite disappointing. I had made a reservation on Open Table and specifically said that we were there to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday. Not once was her birthday mentioned through dinner. During dinner, I receive an email from Open Table saying I did not show up for my reservation. I specifically told the host when we walked in that I had a reservation, so he must not have checked and sat us as a regular table. I had the lobster ravioli which I have had on previous visits. The sauce was supposed to have crab and shrimp in it and has had giant chunks in previous visits. I think I had maybe one piece of crab and zero shrimp this time. I normally love visiting the restaurant, but this visit unfortunately left me very underwhelmed.
Best Eggplant Parmesan I have ever had! Everyone in our party loved their food. The staff were friendly and personable, but could have been a little quicker at taking our orders. It seemed to take a while and it wasn't a busy night. All-in-all it was a great night out with friends. Thank you!
Our wedding celebration dinner was a real disappointment. I had a wonderful dinner here 5 years ago...delicious, romantic & excellent service. Things have changed!! The owner greeted us wearing shorts and flip flops, asking if we had a groupon and telling us there was no music (on a Friday night) he was lavishing attention on the obvious regulars at the next table. We waited and waited for our service. Foccacia was delicious, veal was rubbery with a overly salted sauce, salmon was tasty. Service was very slow. I watched as the chef talked on his cell phone, hung up and continue preparing food without washing his hands or wearing gloves. We ordered one dessert with 4 spoons to share. We were served 4 slices of terrible spumoni. When I told the waiter that we ordered 1 dessert with 4 spoons...he said "oh, hold on" and walked away. As the ice cream melted (we had no utensils) he went to talk to the owner about the error. He came back several minutes later saying "it's ok...we won't charge you for all 4" we had to then ask for spoons. Worst $7 ice cream ever!
As we prepared to leave, the waiter congradulated my teenager and his girlfriend on their marriage??? (Ummm... I'm the one with the bouquet and dress) Overpriced and unprofessional. We won't be back.
The waitress suggest my friend and I share a dinner special because it was a large portion. She suggest we share the entre and order a salad to split. We did just that and when she served the salad it was on one plate. She said they did not split plates in the kitchen. For a nice restaurant it seemed a little tacky. We would have gladly paid a plate fee. It was her suggestion that we share the meal in the first place. We did not appreciate the lack of service and will not go back.
My chicken parmesan was forgettable -- not horrible but not even close to the best I've ever had. The pricing was high for the ambiance and for what you got; thankfully, we had a Groupon for 50% off. If we didn't have that, I would have felt ripped off. My husband got linguini alfredo with meatballs, and that was very good. If we get another Groupon, I'll go back and that's what I'll order.
As for ambiance, the tables were very close together and it almost reminded me of cafeteria style seating. It would not have been good for an intimate date.
I liked the caprese salad ,the chicken skewers were nothing. the Red snapper looked like it was in a bath of red tomatoe sauce , not much flavor I didnt eat it. service was great . I've been to scottsdale never had a complaint , Ill never go back to this one even with a groupon it was disappointing. sorry guys
This was the second time at this restaurant in a week. First time was awesome. Second was a terrible experience. I booked for four people at 5:30 pm and was told when we arrived that we could not get seated at least for 15 - 20 minutes which turned out to be more than 40 minutes. This was the manager telling us this and that because he had so many Groupon's booked, he did not have the staff to handle Open Table bookings and we would have to wait. Lot's of empty tables, but no staff on a Sunday evening! We went to the bar and ordered drinks which we then carried to our tables for dinner. Drinks in the bar were on happy Hour prices which the restaurant did not carry over to the restaurant part so we were charged an upcharge. My meal came and it was cold an had to be sent back. Manager was sweating up a storm and handling food which was not very sanitary or professional.
Too bad as it would have been a new goto restaurant but not after this experience.
Food is decent but no better than other popular chain restaurants ie... red lobster, olive garden etc the biggest difference is the prices are much higher...the hours of operation are much shorter (5-10). Reservations are required or your wait will be incredibly long and due to the amount of business the servers are rushed and do not have time to engage with guests. The dining space is crowded so guests and servers are always bumping your chair. There is one restroom so a line forms. I was charged double.....114.00 for two people as they forgot to include my group on deal. I have had ro contact my bank to put in a dispute for the additional charges. I have already called the resturant twice and even spoke to the owner Max that assured me he would call me the following day, which he did not. Truley disappointed. Save your time and money. Suggestions.....Z Tejas has always been a good experience for me and my family.
We went on Valentines Day so it was an unusually busy night. Normally we enjoy meals there, but we were disappointed with the limited menu, the noise, the food and the service. Our waitress was serving too many tables, so I get it. But... we aren't going to be returning on special occasions. On any other night, this is a nice spot.
Restaurant over booked open table reservations. Had to wait an extra half hour despite having a reservation. Getting an order in also took another 30 min and when food was dropped off on table, the waiter quickly turned around and left without giving a chance to ask for anything else. I walked to the wait station to get my own black pepper then waited another 15 min while the food got cold so I could ask for crushed red pepper. If it weren't for the glass of wine, I would have got up and left before ordering.
This place could be the worst in America, I understand on special occasions restaurant will fill up but this place over booked to the point it was not enjoyable. Staff had no training , food was poor and you needed to sit less then six inches away from the next people
It was Valentine's Day so the service was a little slow and they tried to get lots of tables crowded into a minimal amount of space. Our server, Orlando, apologized for taking so long to take our ordered and stated that dessert would be on him. We did have one dessert but were charged for it, didn't question it at the time because the restaurant was extremely busy and so was Orlando.
Like I stated the restaurant was extremely busy and very crowded, we would definitely like to return sometime when the night isn't quite so busy to see if service is better and much less crowded so you can have a nice conversation with your dinner date and not be concerned about your conversation being overheard.
From the moment you exit your car the aroma tells you this is a find. We were seated promptly and service followed quickly. The bread was wonderful and the oil and vinegar added authenticity...when the food arrived the source of the wonderful aroma was evident. I had the veal picatta and my wife lobster ravioli , both outstanding. Our first time here but not our last.
