Arrivederci Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We have been going to Arrivederci for years. Love their basil dipping sauce and several of their dishes. It's a great neighborhood place. However....their house wine is Liberty Creek. Yikes. And they charge $7.50 a glass when you can buy the LARGE bottle of Liberty Creek at Total Wine for $4.98. I find that price gouging and just ridiculous.
Last year at this time we were very impressed with the foo and service. This year we were disappointed. My chicken parm was tough, probably overdone. My wife’s pasta dish was mediocre. Maybe they have a new chef?
Service was just ok, although our waitress did check after the food was served, she never looked back our way during our meal, and we wanted to order another glass of wine.
I was super disappointed with my meal. Ordered Chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Came out with ziti but I did not even mention it to the server because that was not a big deal. What was a big deal was that the chicken cutlet was SO THIN that I could only taste the breadcrumbs. I have never in my life seen a cutlet which is so paper thin that the only thing you can taste are breadcrumbs. Never. The sauce was good and the server herself realized that I was supposed to get angel hair and brought out a dish with angel hair. Frankly, I don't feel I will ever return again and can't recommend this place to anyone else. This is not our first time here so I am shocked by the meal I received.
Taste and quantity as well as quality had decreased considerably. Prices had increased without any improvement of taste or quantity Bread that was brought to the table was stale. Very disappointing. I would not rush back, where before I would go out of my way to dine there. Both my husband and myself were very disappointed. Not surprising this seems to be happening in many rests now. Hostess was great. Waitress got a couple things wrong. Mixed up appetizers and put 2 single payers from our group on the same bill. Have no idea why, we were not even sitting close to one another. Will not keep me from coming back, but was a little surprising considering the high quality service i had been used to at Arreviderci.
Our go to place when visiting family in the area. Nice, smaller restaurant that is family run. Attentive staff and good (hefty) portions. I don't go often and ended up ordering the same beef filled cannelloni dish on two consecutive visits; delicious, but don't let me do that again! Light as clouds gnocchi in saffron cream was a standout and the spaghetti was crowned with a bevy of tender meatballs. I cleaned my plate, and my wife's.
Although the food was & always has been good and our server, Tammy, was lovely---the serving portion which I received was disgraceful!! The veal portion was literally a mere 2 bites of veal! It NEVER should have been allowed to be plated at all let alone brought out of the kitchen & served to a patron (a long-standing patron I might add)!!! Tammy literally begged me to allow her to bring additional but I was so mortified & embarrassed (our 4 friends with us had never been there & were there on our recommendation)! They too couldn't believe what they saw!!
I repeat--this was not a fault of Tammy's---the bus boy served the dinners & she never saw it! She couldn't have been nicer--she was aghast at the situation! She was so nice also about allowing me to taste the zinfandel from a vineyard with which I wasn't familiar before I had ordered 2 glasses of it!
Giovanni would also have been mortified had he witnessed this situation!!
